X Zauger is the definition of criminally underrated
Facts
I only discovered him a month ago and his discussions are 👌
I dont think he is underrated, its just that The Isle doesn't have such a big community
Yeah wtf I just noticed bro only has 7.9k subs
I think suchos will be able to see any underwater animal, not just fish, giving suchos precious time to escape to higher ground.
Edit: by ''higher ground'' I mean out of the water.
I think sucho will also be much to heavy for even full adult deinos to grab. A croc will have to try and bite it to death
@@youtubealt243 I mean it would only need a weight of 4.1 tons and its in the safe zone from deino grab, but all its previous iterations hint towards a 3.6 ton average weight. So they would need to make it weigh more than its size.
@@sspilex legacy isn’t really the best indicator for weight, plus I’m expecting them to size buff sucho since it was frankly tiny in legacy
I hear that sucho will be able to easily kill sub-adult rex and giga and also sucho can do better ambush attack in water like deino do and it will be more slower on land
My thought on how suchos can deal with spinos and Deinos will be related to biomes. If the devs can make certain fish/food available in certain areas. All the semi aquatics can be separated well enough in my opinion. As far as water biomes we could have rivers, lakes, swamps, ponds etc. I’d imagine suchos will be restricted to rivers and river pools with water too shallow to hide swimmers like Deinos, Barys, and spinos, or even support them with enough food. Deinos and spinos could live in deeper rivers, swamps, and coasts. Suchos also being able to see below the surface like Austros can also help with this. In summary, sucho is more specialist.
My hypothesis is that Sucho could avoid having problems with creatures like Deinosuchus by feeding in lake or river areas that are too shallow for the latter to swim.
I need to correct you on the bone density implications of Suchomimus. Swimming animals generally had denser bones. This suggests Suchomimus was not as much of a swimmer as previously suggesed and more of a wader, not unlike modern storks. This is a contrast to Bary and Spino which did indeed have denser bones which allowed them to dive in water whilst swimming. Suchomimus had to share its hunting grounds with Sarcosuchus, after all, which was a far more competent in deeper waters, thus making sense for the former to specialize in shallow water wading. And it seems this wading in shallow water lifestyle for Suchomimus will also be present in The Isle.
Ah my favorite Isle playable and my second favorite overall dinosaur ever described behind Styracosaurus, it’s just nice to have something for Sucho for me.
I want to do a quick note about the irl Suchomimus, you briefly mentioned that it has more hollow bones than most other Spinosaurids, but this likely wasn’t an adaptation for mobility. See in the past year or so a study was done that compared the bone density of many different animals including Spinosaurus Suchomimus and Baryonyx and while Spino and Bary had thicker bones that matched modern animals who specialize in diving and swimming, sucho has comparatively hollow bones, still thicker than the average theropod but resembling more closely modern WADING animals like storks and herons.
This largely means that while spino and Bary were diving into deep water and moving or even hunting while submerged Sucho was closer to the shallows or shorelines wading through the water grabbing what it could, it certainly was no slouch in the water but it wasn’t as specialized as it’s kin.
I’d like to see this reflected ingame, and I think this concept largely follows that ideology. Sucho is seen spending most of its time near or on land or in shallow waters never diving for anything but still fishing, compare this to Bary who’s concept art heavy featured it in water to a greater degree. I imagine this is the main point they will use to segment the three spinosaurids into separate niches, Bary in the waters swimming around, sucho on the banks acting as a giant bear, and spino being so large and powerful it can go wherever it pleases with a preference for inland areas and/or coasts.
I’d say I’m happy with the utility aspect on display in the concept as well, we will have to see how this animal grows and adapts when it enters active development.
You’re sort of right. But instead of wading like a hippo the study actually suggests it was extremely terrestrial, and likely both hunted on dry land and occasionally entered water that was leg deep to hunt.
Sucho seems like it will be more of a water wader than a swimmer. Not that it would be bad at swimming, but it would be slower than deinosuchus. This would encourage sucho to stay on land more often than deino or bary. Spino players go where they want. Overall sucho concept art is pretty good. It's not just a bunch of fighting and actually shows some cool stuff. It reminds me of the original EVRIMA concept arts like deino or carno.
Spinos should have very very similar playstyle to sucho, Spino could be a more adapt swimmer as we have evidence of a paddle like tail and webbing between the fingers, while sucho can grab bigger fish with the big claw just an idea.
@@yefos420 spino in game is not the Paleo accurate version. It's a jp styled spino that's larger than rex. It's comfortable in and out of water, but doesn't really specialize in anything.
@@crabhater9373 they are redoing the whole thing for evrima the knuckle walk n everything
@@yefos420 realistic spino was scrapped and the knuckle walk was debunked years ago
@@crabhater9373 nah not rly they could do either or like gorillas they can if they want but it wouldn't be the best for long term
Hmmmm, I think I’m leaning that the counter to Deino will be sucho being better on land and it will be hard for Deino to drown a sucho or other semi aquatic I would think so this counters a big part of deinos hunting kit.
Another thought, Deino will also become hard to grow I would assume. As more semi aquatics enter the playing field, especially if Deino make it on the diets. This might make swing a full grown Deino more of a rare occurrence. Lastly, with new maps, deinos may dominate rivers more? While sucho might benefit from more land locked shallower waters.
8:24i believe tapwing said sucho prefers shallow waters which is how it will avoid deino as for spino it could probably just go on land and for deinocherius its most likely yhr same as spino but this time u can also escape into water
Spino will probably be the slowest apex not including sauropods, so as long as you are in shallow rivers or lakes you have nothing to fear
Yet again another X'Zaguer W, god I love the Suchomimus concept so much
Finally something I enjoy about this game
I a really like the concept, a gentle giant for when you just want to chill while fishing and that can probably bully allos or albertos off corpses close to water
i just discovered your channel and i love your concept analysis videos, it really helps me planning my future game
I can’t wait to see how the sucho and the dinosucus interact over habitat
I really like the idea of being a somewhat gentle water giant 😁
My theory with the pouch is that the sucho can carry stuff bigger than it should be able too and can carry water too so maybe it will have the highest water drain in the game to make it stick to water sources
Pretty sure the dossier said they would carry more food than other dinos as well, and if it's in a pouch, perhaps you wouldn't be able to locate it's scent
@@GrammarPaladindidn't thought about the scent thing myself, you got a really good point
PELICAN SUCHO IS HERE!!!
another great Video from one of my favorites. Thank you X.
Great video! I really like this series!
Ah yes, Pelicanimimus.
Lo gracioso es que pelicanimimus es un dinosaurio real de la familia de los gallis (Estruti, Galli y el resto) que se descubrió en España.
My friends favourite dino is suchomimus, and he has decided to just not play the isle until it releases. Which is kinda a problem cause that means he wont play until the year 2058
Sucho will be a land pelican. Itll be able to store food and travel with it along with water.
Something to keep in mind, is that by the time this dino gets released, i suspect gateway would have already been implemented. And it, along with a greater variety of other dinosaurs in the water, will 'Hopefully' encourage players to use other aquatic dinosaurs over the deino. So with more room, and a smaller deino population, the differences in capabilities, won't be as 'Significant' as they would be RN. That's my hope anyhow, will see what the devs have planned.
Suchomimus my beloved is a mere victim of roster bloat and the devs not knowing what to do with it I mean for god sakes in the dev blog they literally said “ ever imagine a baryonx but bigger?” It truly pains my heart
Honestly now I kind of find Baryonyx a victim of roster bloat with the Suchomimus passive pelican play style the devs are going for with him
@@ThatFunnyTortoise I think sucho should be fighting with deinos in pairs and have the kit to combat deino since that’s litterally the only thing a sucho would have to worry about that it may not be able to just run from
@@TheKingofCoral sucho can just run away on land.
I think they managed to get a good mix of the three spinosauroids. Spinosaurus is a carnivorous murder-hippo, Suchomimus is a relatively passive piscivorous wader, and Baryonyx is able to travel between both realms efficiently and plays both active and passive
@@TheKingofCoralI'm sure 2 suchos can kill a solo deino
I love suchomimus pelican like throat pouch it looks so much like irritator
I think sucho will be like a weird mix of the all the semi aqutics, it will benefit from being at/near water like Deino and Beipi who off of what we have in game loose thirst very fast from being away from water for long periods of time. But would do ok if it is away from water for longer periods of time. Seeing how it can store water in its mouth it can be an extra water for the animal to use when traveling long distances across land. It should be fast/tanky enough to deal with crocs and killer ducks when at water sources as well as fast/tanky enough to deal with the actual land based dinos when leaving these water sources. Think of a water buffalo is how I'm thinking sucho would play as. Water is great but not having it isnt the end of the world.
Can't wait for all these creatures in the concept arts two creatures that don't have any concept arts that I hope get considered to be added to the game someday are pterodaustro and beelzebufo
Never did play Sucho all that much. But, I have encountered them in Legacy, albeit rarely.
But I will try it out in Evrima once it’s available
No importa que tan grande sea los suchomimus siempre tratarán de tragársela.
Maybe Bary will be faster in bursts, but Suchos size will give it an advantage to trot/travel speed? That could at least open up a sort of waterway nomad niche for it where its tankiness would help keep it safe on the trek from one spot to the next
I swear underground the isle RUclipsrs are the best ever and you're #1
I believe Suchomimus shouldn't be as an effective swimmer as either Deinosuchus or Baryonyx. I like the idea of it being a river wader but not totally aquatic. Giving it the ability to see through water would punctuate that to a degree (or just see clearer through water than most assets). It seems like Sucho is geared toward a slow, survivalist niche which I think it can do well. It doesn't need to be particularly quick if it can mitigate the need to travel to food sources.
Maybe to give it an advantage over other assets in certain areas that mud wading thing could be extended to shallow water where its unimpeded by the movement debuff it exudes on terrestrials.
i think sucho would be able to deal with deino quite fine. Since its not supposed to fight back its most likely gonna be quicker on land. and as seen before water combat can be pretty difficult. especially with the new deeper lakes comin on gateway. id also like to imagine that sucho, like teno, would be able to get out of a deinos grasp before drowning
Pelican, peli peli pelican, pelican.
Pelican Bear, Pelican Bear, Pelibe
Baryonyxs: Oso + cocodrilos
Suchomimus: Oso + pelícano
Spinosaurus: Oso + Hipopótamo
once sucho is released, i want to see how arrogant croc is will behave in water fight
I think that sucho will be a swamp dweller, very agile in mud (that is, if devs include a big amount of mud in swamps at a later date), whih woul justify its nest placement and save it from deino and spino
i liked bary and spino this concept made me also like sucho :D
It looks more exciting than the pot sucho
you should add timemarks :)
I hope that suchos will also eat juvie and sub crocs.
He looks very great tho
It means it can run through mud i think, instead of just being forced to walk through it
Should be called pelican mimic
Not at all, the name meaning crocodile mimic fits far better, and the pelican mimic, Pelicanimimus, already exists
@@IndominusRex-wc1eyshow me this pelicannotimimus
@@scottthesmartape9151 look it up
Sucho should be a poor swimmer (we know it likely didn’t swim OR wade, since its bone density was so low and it had long legs) but a really good terrestrial dino, that gets a huge running speed boost in shallow water and mud that extends to the land for a small duration. It should have a wide diet ranging from both terrestrial and aquatic creatures
Isle, rather clearly, doesn't care about accuracy. While I do agree with what you're saying, The Isle's dev team unfortunately doesn't, so they by all means CAN make Suchomimus the fastest swimmer in the game. They won't, for obvious reasons, but you get my point
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey They’re at least trying in evrima, like removing the utahraptor name tag on their very obviously fictional abomination, and making the crocodile-like creature a cannibal and opportunist
@@youtubealt243 Removing the Utahraptor name and changing it isnt for the sake of accuracy, rather it's a rather begrudged and forced change as the community was giving the devs shit about "Utahraptor" not looking at all in the slightest like a real Utahraptor, and the devs also want to add a "real" Utahraptor, as such Omniraptor got its name
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey Being completely honest, why do they even need a regular Utahraptor? Why not just make Omniraptor Dakotaraptor and end it there?
@@kade-qt1zu no fuckin' clue man, no fuckin' clue... ig Dondi really wanted his JP oc LMAO
Humans have no place in the isle, at least in officials
thank you so much for the super thanks! really appreciate the support :)
@@XZaguer 🙃
Sucho could just have a defensive stance that lets it use it claws and it’s claw swipe does like 700 dmg but it can’t run. That way deino can’t just bully sucho and sucho can’t just go around killing everything.
one species in salt water and the other one in fresh water, that why they avoid compentition
Suchos different from bary and spino because it probably won't depend on the water. Suchomimus had much less dense bones than those 2 meaning it was much more suited for land. I think sucho will stay basically unchanged, but will have a ability to sense other aquatics and fish as it's main defense. Also sucho seems to prefer shallow water, which means deinosuchus will have a harder time ambushing them
I should also bring up path of Titans sucho, which functions very similarly, being the slower tankier sub apex compared to allo, but still being weaker and faster than spinos and sarcos
I feel that suchomimus is very undersized in most games, a quick google search will show that it is MASSIVE
En POT es del porte de un Rex.
Poor sucho
Hey X Zauger can you make another concept art video about the Isle pterodactylus
Because I want to know more about the pterodactylus concept art and what it will be behaving like in and I heard both pterodactylus and compys
When will you make a concept art video about pterodactylus
When will you make a concept art video All about pterodactyls🤨🧐🤔
Hello
truth be told i cant wait for Allo but sucho is cool too
To me Sucho would need to be a less reliant on water and more land based, maybe they could have the Water buff that Spinos get in ark , or inversly maybe gain some sort of Defence buff when covered in mud, making them more resistant to bleed and blunt damage , not unlike a Barroth.
This way Sucho would be in fact a really tricky creature to kill when smaller then itself. It would make Sucho play like those African dwarf crocodiles who enjoy living in watering holes and are avoided by predators.
To avoid competition against barry , i think Sucho could be able to mixpack to an extent(no grouping, just chatting), since Barrys would look similar to juveniles suchos and would be quite close in morphology, and could have some sort of symbiosis, Sucho being larger , stronger and slower and barry being weaker but faster and more nimble .
Yes! I would like to see some sort of symbiosis implemented in the game. Like a Utah pack could have a single rupo in their group that they use as a bloodhound. But I suppose implementing stuff like that would come after all the playables are in
I think spinosaurids should have a unique symbiosis feature. Countless times in legacy I’ve seen them naturally friendly to eachother like a brothers oath
I thought you hate the isle? But you still post isle videos like you like it? I’m so confused.
He has less then favorable relations with the Isle dev team, but he still does genuinely want the game to improve and become better.
