I need this asap my 2000 ek civic was stolen yesterday but luckily they abandoned it and I was able to recover it. Hopefully i can afford this kit soon. Thanks for the awesome products JDI.
Great video man just got mine in the mail I’m about to throw it on thanks for the video. It tells you everything you need to know 👍🏾
Thank you so much!
just installed one in my del sol since my cylinder is starting to eat the key and not let go. that brake wire sure is a pain to get to. after i got past that it's working great. i appreciate the note about the 2 green and white wires, turns out the del sol has 2
The exact reason I ordered my kit. 01 integra I only have one key. That will start the car (immobilizer) it’s a better deal to upgrade!
Damn I can’t find it lol
My car will turn on but won’t start any reason why?
@@stryderhoete5320 I had that happened to me once when I turned it off then put it in reverse instead of park. Mine is auto and will turn off in any selection but will only turn on in park or neutral. Maybe your car isn't in park/neutral or it doesnt realize it via a switch or something?
@@iantodaro4904 mine turns off the second time I push the button
Would this work on my 2019 Hyundai Elantra SE??
Do you have a kit to go in a 2013 gmc denali 2500hd flex fuel?
I’m gonna have to order one of these for my integra
Wish to install one on my Teggy too
@@chitwnyawdman I already put one on my integra totally worth it 132$ every penny I had it for a year now and no issues plug and play
Is there any way for an old bmw ?
Does this work for any Mazda Miata?
Do you have any of these for a Mazda b2200?
For the EG shown in the video, is the ignition lock not required to have a place to mount the lower wheel cover back on?
You will only get 1 screw in on the bottom of the cover in the middle, other then that it is just the clips that hold the bottom cover on, so hopefully yours aren't broken
I have a EG the last owner put the 12v signal of the swith that goes to the starter he use a direct wire to the starter to start the car
Can this may replace all that or need to put all that from factory ?
Do you have for a 07 chevy cobalt
I have a 98 honda delsol with a immobilizer, and chiped keys , its possible also to use this kit ?
Does the push to start installation remove the ability to turn over the engine with key in the original key cylinder? I am asking in the case if I installed a push to start on the dash and kept my original cylinder. And in concern of any thieves trying to turn over the engine with a screwdriver jammed into the cylinder.
Yes, the push to start system completely replaces the factory ignition switch. If you keep the factory key cylinder in place, we recommend removing the factory ignition switch so that a potential thief can't simply plug it back in.
@Jordan Distributors inc. so let’s say I want to install the push start button on the factory keyhole. The key cylinder is used for the screws that hold the clam shell around the steering column together. So if I remove the key cylinder what do I do to hold the clam shell around the steering column together? I’m asking cuz I saw Abnormal Garage’s installation video and he hollowed out the key cylinder cuz otherwise the clam shell would be all wobbly on the steering column. Or did he do something wrong? I just ordered from your online store my push to start conversion. Should be getting it October 18th.
The upper two screws are course thread and screw into the key cylinder. The lower screw is fine thread and threads into the steering column. With the correct fine thread screw used in the lower hole and tightened properly, the clamshell will not be loose
@@JordanDistributorsinc thanks 👍🏻
Can I install it on a separate piece of dash, keep my steering wheel lock, but not have to put a key in the ignition?
If you keep the key cylinder in place, you will need to insert the key to unlock the steering wheel. The button could be mounted somewhere else and you not need to insert the factory key, but you would need to remove the steering wheel lock if you don't want to have to insert the factory key.
What did you do with the wires that were connected to the ignition after you took the steering wheel lock out. Just tucked it away?
The factory ignition switch can be completely removed from the vehicle
I have a 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L that I’m planning on restoring and keeping forever. It’s an excellent & reliable SUV. Can I still keep and use my factory key fobs to lock and unlock the car doors? I like my factory key fobs and don’t want to get rid of them.
Yes, with Ghost Key installed the factory key fobs will remain functional
So I’m curious, it seems great but what about those thieves that use those equipment that pick up key signals?
Is there something we can use that’ll block their equipment?
I want to grab this but it scares me thinking they’ll just pick up the key signal
Each kit that we sell has its own unique set of encrypted keys. No two units ever have the same key code, every system has a unique key code. With the keys that we use, a potential thief would need to either steal your keys or be within 1-2 inches of them to read them. This would be very difficult for a thief to do without you knowing. An RFID blocking wallet or faraday bag will prevent the keys from being able to be read entirely.
We use this style of key as apposed to the technology used in modern vehicles with passive key systems which can be read from over 30ft away without the owner even knowing.
Will this work still if I have a aftermarket remote start if it's started with the remote start
In the past, we would tell our customers that our kit is not compatible with remote start systems. The reason we would say this is because if you were to remote start the engine, the push to start system would not know that you had already started the engine. Then, if you got in the vehicle and pressed the start button to start the engine, the push to start system would try to turn the starter again with the engine already running.
For remote start to work with our kit you will have to make sure to shut the engine back off before restarting it with the push to start system. As long as this is done then the two systems will work without any issues. Most remote start systems will shut the engine back off when the brake pedal is pressed for security reasons anyway. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us, we are always happy to help!
So, I delete my clutch so i can crank the ignition right away. If i were to install one for my EJ leaving it as it is, will it work or do i need to revert the connection to stepping on clutch to start ignition? Thanks
It will work either way. You can leave the clutch switch bypassed or revert back to factory
My kit just arrived, I’ve got the wire that connects to the brake pedal… it’s orange in colour, however off the same connector there’s 2 purple wires, where do they go?
They will not be needed for your particular vehicle. You can just tie them up out of the way
For the brake clip there’s purple wires ass well what do those wire connect to doesn’t state in the video
They are not needed for the install in this vehicle
I have an ek 97, when removing the key cylinder, the two screws no longer fit into the plastic cover. how to fix that problem
The upper two screws are course thread while the lower screw is fine thread. With the correct fine thread screw used in this lower position and tightened properly it will eliminate all looseness.
@@JordanDistributorsinc so I must use long fine thread screws
On mine it takes a couple times to start any ideas? Guy told me it was the starter i replaced it and same thing
Please send us an email, we would be happy to help you resolve this issue.
JordanDistributors@gmail.com
Instead of step on the brake before press the start button, can i change it to step on the clutch pedal?
This can be done but will require you to add a relay because the clutch switch only sends a ground signal. We recommend using the brake switch so that the system will function the same as a vehicle with a factory installed push to start system.
Can you still use a key fob to open the doors if the barrel is removed? My key barrel is broken and I’ve ordered a kit, but just realised that the fob does not work now due to the steering lock not working, so I am unable to programme a new key.
Please send us an email and we can share with you the programming instructions for the key fob.

Are the EG,EK,DC kits all the same? I went to the website to order for a EK 96-00 civic says coming soon.
We have corrected this inventory error. They are currently in stock and ready to ship👍
What about the integras from 00-01’ with the immobilizer
This will work in the 00-01 Integra also, you will just need to bypass the immobilizer. Please send us an email, we can send you the link to a video showing this process.
Sales@JordanDistributors.com
just a question about the kit if i have a b20 swapped ek would i still go with the civic kit or the crv kit?
You will need the Ghost Key to match the vehicle. In this case you will need to select the 96-00 Civic option.
If I put the antenna sensor on backwards would it make my signal weaker. Sometime it doesn’t wanna read my ghost card right
The antenna can read the same from either direction. One thing to check is that you don’t have the key or the antenna near metal, this will decrease the signal strength
@@JordanDistributorsinc it’s slap right on top of metal😂😂
My car had gotten stolen and they ripped the whole ignition out and I ordered this and connected it to everything and I still can’t turn my car on. Is it because I don’t have the original ignition?
Please send us an email. We are happy to help you troubleshoot the install and get it working properly.
sales@jordandistributors.com
Does this work with models that do not have power locks and windows? Example: 96 civic DX.
Yes, it does
@@JordanDistributorsinc thank you.
what about the purple wires on the brake switch wiring
These are used for vehicles with ground while running immobilizer systems and will not be needed for most vehicles
We have a DC with a immobilizer how do we hook it up
What If I was to mount the push start button somewhere else? Would I still have to take the old ignition switch off or just pull the wiring off and use the plug and play one? I really want to get this but not keen on taking the old one out 😢
You can mount the start button somewhere else and leave the key cylinder in place if you would like. We show this install process at the 3:45 mark in this video

Can i use double sided tape instead of electric tape ?
I have a viper 2 way alarm. Will adding this mess with my alarm? Like is any of the cables to my alarm going into the old cables for the stock ignition? 🤔
Most Viper alarms are wired into the ignition switch. This wiring can be transferred from your factory switch to the push to start harness to use it along with our kit.

I have a viper 2 way too with remote start and turbo timer will this work with it too
It's been a longtime since this comment.. I don't remember what I did, but I got it to work perfectly fine. It wasn't hard to figure it out either without doing any research. Both jdi push start and alarm has been working perfectly fine together.
I ordered one without checking if they work on manuals? Do they..??
Yes, this will work for both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Can I install this on my 65 ford galaxy?
We have considered offering a universal kit but have been hesitant to do so as this would require splicing of the factory wiring in the vehicle. If this is something that you would like, please send us an email: JordanDistributors@gmail.com
my car is manual and to start it I don’t press the brake nor the clutch, will this kit still work for me ?
Yes, this will still work in a manual transmission vehicle
You will need to wire the green wire to the brake to start the car or wire it to a switch that you turn on to make the system think you are holding the brake then turn off once car has started.
@@justinmaloney910 So we can wire it to the clutch safety switch?
@@zachx3278 no, the green wire needs power and the clutch switch doesn't provide power (it provides ground)
Use a electrical test light and tap into a switch power (power when car is turned to accessories) then add a on/off switch or toggle switch, wire switch power to one probe and green wire to the other. Other option is just follow the instructions and wire to brake pedal.
Will this work if my transmission is a manual
Yes 👍
would this work for a 2015 scion frs?
Not currently. We do offer a universal kit for our customers who are comfortable performing the wiring themselves. This kit includes all of the same components as our normal plug and play systems with the exception of the loomed flying lead main harness along with a wire diagram to assist with the install. The price for this kit is $129.99. You can also add any additional keys or upgraded start buttons if you would like. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us, we are always happy to help!
Can this work if my car is automatic?
Yes, it will work with either manual or automatic transmission vehicles
Can I install the switch on the clutch instead of the brake
No, it will need to be attached to the brake for the system to function properly
Can that be bypassed? Does the wire need power or ground?@@JordanDistributorsinc
@@gangstar565 For the system to function properly, this cannot be bypassed. This wire needs to reference 12v
Will this work on a manual?
Yes
Is it much different for 1st gen CR-V?
No I was able to hook it up the same
The brake wire you are tapping into is dark green. It says it in the description
Wait, so a thief can just buy a JDI fob and start my car then? I didn't see the part where it was programmed to the module....
Hi Matthew! Absolutely not. The keys are preprogrammed to the module and do not need to be programmed by the customer. Every kit that we sell has its own uniquely coded set of keys. No 2 kits will ever have the same keys. Our keys are also encrypted and we require the keys to be sent in to us to have any duplicate keys produced.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us, we are always happy to help!
