The German Dragons' Den is called "Höhle der Löwen" (cave of the lions). But the video war from another show where people try to sell stuff that might be antique or in another way worth a lot.
Dwayne was right, the "Höhle der Löwen" is the German version of the "Lions' Den". And you are right, the video is from "Bares für Rares", an antiques show where people are trying to sell their stuff. Recorded it for a while and scrolled through it in fast forward because sometimes they had old grammophones, early record players, pinball machines, you know, all that fun stuff with little to no electronics in it, but was always disappointed of how little the dealers would bid for those nice things.
@@eisikater1584 Sorry, I don't know, what you're on about. I already said, that Höhle der Löwen ist the German version of Dragons' Den. Dwayne only asked if that show exists in Germany, so I told him: yes, with a different name.
@@derhinek You said "cave" instead of "den" so I wanted to put that right. German titles sometimes are different from British ones, like "The Chase" became "Gefragt. Gejagt." in German, so if I know the original title, why not say it?
@@eisikater1584 But the original title is Dragons' Den like I wrote in my comment, not Lions' Den, like you wrote ... so I guess you don't know the original title?
The TV show was not like Dragons Den, although we have that too („Höhle der Löwen“ that cave of the lions means). This was a show where people bring a rarity, have it appraised and then sell it to dealers.
0:42 Oh, i hate that guy. He belongs to a far right wing group and later some investigations found ot, that he was also a civil member of the criminal police. He dragged the News Team to a police car and even while the team had the right to film the demonstration, the police officers (probably sympathizers of that group) hold the News Team in custody, which was a clear violation of press rights
He's the original German "Karen," trying to weaponise the police against legitimate journalists doing their constitutionally protected work. That on top of it all he was a fascist, weaponising state power while rejecting the state, was the cherry on the shit sundae. That the police officers in that situation willingly went along with it was the sprinkles.

That's some weird shit! If Germany would still have Walmart, this is the crowd that matches murican Walmart crowds. I had to stop watching this, because of the burning embarrassment I feel for my country. Especially the "bohoo, I do not want to be on camera" attitude annoys TF out of me in Germany - Data Privacy demands into the nonsensical realm: Germans scream bloody murder about Google Earth Streetview (yet you could just go in person and look at their house too, what is the diff?!?!) Authorities do not communicate via Email, FAX is still a thing (those could be intercepted too, but whatever), etc. HOWEVER: Germans are totally okay with letting Companies and Landlords collect Money directly from their personal Bank Accounts!!! WTH?!? 😂
I have seen comments on the two boys with the trick, that it is actually a fake and it is staged. I personally know a family with twin toddlers, and one of the twins was hurt deadly when they tried to climb up a wardrobe and it tumbled over on one of them. Very tragic…
Yes, I agree. It looks like there is no bike lane on the other side, just train tracks. It might be open for both directions. So he scared the old lady into an accident.
That McDonald's employee is so awesome. He's either quite witty or has to deal with a lot of pranks like that. Or both. Probably both
That old guy in the interview could have come right out of a Loriot sketch. 😅

Bares für Rares is loosely based on a British TV show called Antiques Roadshow

with the bike incident, he yells „Geisterfahrer/ghost driver“, saying the other person takes the wrong lane…

It is a bridge, notr a normal road. I would assume that bikes are prohibited there. At least this is not uncommon.
