I wouldn't say it is an Alster canal, since the point at the Baumwall and Otto-Sill Bridges is usually seen at the river mouth of the Alster river into the Binnenhafen as part of the Elbe river. By that logic, the "Fleets" (canals in the Speicherstadt) have to be Elbe canals.
I just saw your video and now I know what I'm getting my mother (76) for Christmas because she's never seen it but has always wanted it. tip: visit the miniature wonderland at night. Only a few visitors are allowed there and you can look at everything in peace. thank you for this beautiful inspiration. The last time I was there was over 10 years ago and a lot has changed. Greetings from Hamburg, Germany. 😊
Well, these are not the only regions that have been built. They have already rented a second building opposite and spanned a pedestrian bridge across it in order to travel to other regions such as South America, Brazil, Africa and other countries and continents. There is also a railway running from one side to the other. There is also a VR room where you can walk around as a little character in Wonderland. The models are sometimes cleaned by the team every day before opening. Some regions are also rebuilt. For example, the model of Hamburg's Speicherstadt, which also contains the original, was recently rebuilt. You can even see a small model of Miniatur Wunderland in the building.
What is a nice idea - in many museums and such here in Germany it is not liked if you take photos. In the Wunderland they actually ask you to take photos and share them online and with friends.
As someone who loves the miniature wonderland, I nearly cry watching people discover this place for the first time. When I lived in Hamburg, I went there at least once a year and dragged all my friends along. Even if some Germans see it as an overrun tourist attraction...I can't get over this wealth of detail and want to tell everyone what these people have created there. It's always an incredible experience I can recommend to anyone who hasn't been there.
well this is one very popular Video - im glad I am not the only one who loves watching this -- you KNOIW I have to check out the up to date version of this world next :)
The Miniatur Wunderland is an absolute blast for everyone. You actually can't help but be amazed. Always worth a visit. Greetings from the wonderful north 👍
its an old video. they have doubled the size now and have invented several things. also they have a partnership with a big amusement parc. you can now walk yourself as a minature you throught the wonderland by virtual reality and many things more. there is a big documentation out about the wonderland where you can see more. greetings p.s. i am living a 90 minute drive away from this ^^
I visited the "Miniatur Wunderland" many times in many years. You can always find something new by every visit, even in the older sections, it is fantastic. On every visit to Hamburg I buy a ticket and forget about live for a while.
I have been there in 2006 with my parents, my wife and our daughter. It was a great entertainment for all ages. Since then they expanded the Miniatur Wunderland heavily. The only thing that amazes me more is seeing you being amazed by this video.
Much of the scenery is available commercially, even the sunflowers. Most of those manufacturers are German too. A few names : Preiser and Noch (the NSFW scenes) for the figurines, Herpa and Wiking for the vehicles. And the sunflowers are made by Busch.
Miniaturwunderland in Hamburg is unattainable, very creative and on a huge scale... I am German, but I live in Switzerland near Schaffhausen at the Rhine Falls (the little Niagara Falls), where there is also a miniature museum, but with excerpts and motifs from Switzerland. You need two to three hours to see everything at your leisure. I've been there four times and always find things that I didn't notice the first time. Highly recommended. 😉😉
This is a 10 minute walk from my home. Should visit more often. They even have special events where they let deprived people in for free, I think that's great.
It takes a whole day to see everything and still miss a lot of details...now two buildings are connected by a glass bridge through which trains also run...an experience Greets from germany
Look at RAILZ MINIWORLD in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Can you find the penguins on the icefloe in the harbour? 😁 That's my favorite little joke they put in.
There actually was a model railway in Berlin that tried to take the title. They UTTERLY failed. Another one tried at Bispingen, with a much larger scale, but...failed too. Both in size and quality.
I have watched it 10 times already. But i watch it again with each reaction video. It never gets old. Its just too amazing. I still need to do northern Germany. 🎉❤🎉❤🎉

If you ever decide to come and see that in person I will be happy to show into you. It is really really special. So, welcome to Hamburg. I will be here to show you😊😊😊😊😊😊
In the summer of 2000, Frederik Braun was on vacation in Zurich. There he came up with the idea for the largest model railway in the world in a model railway shop.[4] Back in Hamburg, Frederik conducted a nationwide survey via email about the popularity of real and fictional sights in the city.[5] A non-existent largest model railway in the world was voted third place by the male respondents. In 2001 he sold his discotheque Voilà and EDM Records and founded Miniatur Wunderland GmbH together with his father Jochen W. Braun, his twin brother Gerrit and Stephan Hertz.
They started off small and kept reinvesting and building for more than 20 years now. They are two brothers that started off as normal guys and have 350 or something employees today!
I would be honored if you visited us in Germany. I would personally guide you through Miniatur Wunderland. But according to the current status in 2023, you need 3-4 days to see the entire Miniatur Wunderland.😁 There are now 2 warehouses connected by a glass bridge. The trains travel from one warehouse over the glass bridge to the other warehouse. Formula 1 is racing in Monaco. And you can also shrink yourself and experience Wonderland live as a figure using virtual reality.😇 This is an attraction of brilliant German engineering❤
I live in Hamburg and visited the Miniatur Wunderland - or MiWuLa for short - at least seven times over the last 10 years and there are still things in this video that are new to me. Fun Fact: The founders are two brothers. They put themselves into the scenery as two figures peeing from a bridge. 😅 Their model railroad shares a building with a history based indoor horror theme park - the Hamburg Dungeon - so they were pretty much restricted on two or three floors of that late 19th century warehouse building. After finishing Monaco - which has the Formula 1 racing track with a full on race with overtaking cars and everything - they ran out of space. So they rented a whole story in the building across the canal and had a glass bridge installed between them. In the new exhibition space they are currently building parts of South and Central America with a group of model builders from Argentina. And the bridge is not only for the visitors but there are trains running in the bottom of the bridge. Two separate buildings, three stories but it's still all one model railroad because all the tracks are connected. And every year in January the entrance is free for low income families.
We visit the MiWuLa (Miniatur Wunderland) at least once a year to see all the new attractions... now the old building was getting too small, so the bought another building across the fleet and connected both buildings. Monaco and the French Provence are finished and South America shows how much they grew as builders in the time...
The ammount of passion the people who work their to built and maintain this put in there is insane! I discover something new every feckin time I'm there. This is worth visiting Germany alone.

It must be said though that the twins who started this weren't millionaires. Far from it. They basically put every cent they made back into the project so it could grow and grow and grow and they could hire more great people. They are amazing guys and I love watching them talk about the project and their visions.
We germans love model making.. ^^ its in our DNA .. and it must be hyper realistic every time XD.. i love how his chin dropped in the first few seconds of the video XD
Being from Hamburg, if you ever go there. Plan for at least a day, better two days to go around all of that. All the small details they have shown here are partialy sometimes quite hidden. Last time I was there with my family we constantly went "Have you seen this?" "Have you noticed that?". The work they put into this is enormouse. Also its all hand or at least most of it. They have their own workshop where they build a lot of this stuff on their own.
For your question where you can buy the stuff. They create much on their own. And in the last few years they used a lot of 3d printing to create new stuff. The owners are twin brothers who ran a very successful high society night club in Hamburg that give them the money to create there dream project. If you plan a trip to Germany i highly recommended to take this place on your bucket list. it is worth it.
Coming from Munich, Germany, I have been there three times until now, and every few years there is so much new. The details are so realistic because the owners always want to be as close to reality as possible. Two typical examples: In July 2012 I took the guided tour and when I saw the Thai Airways A380 in the airport I said "Oh you are ahead of your time" The guide: "Why??" "Well in real life Thai Airways will not have the A380 before November." "Oh", the guide replied, "I will not tell the bosses because they would take it out until then, and that would be a shame because it is so beautiful". There is a departures table in a little display and the destinations always fit to the airlines that are taking off. The Millenium Falcon has the destination "Tattooine". 3:01 That little gas station is connected to a computer that downloads the prices from the oil company's website every few hours so they are always correct. 8:27 This is not a hobby but a company making money with the entrance fee. That's where the money comes from. 12:50 Yes they always will keep making it bigger, they don't build to get it done but for the fun of building. And when the building gets too small they take the next and build a bridge.
it´s amazing isn´t it....the money they make with customers flows back into the projects and they have a tv-show where they show what they work on and all that.... i love to watch the show...better then most boring tv shows ....
Been there a couple of times. It's a MUST VISIT if you ever come to Hamburg. We've planned whole daytrips from Berlin to Hamburg just for the Wunderland. Booking trains, find the couple of time slots where we could get in... (Always pre-book a visit, that's my advice) Also the owners of this whole thing are really great persons. A couple of times a year, they're having "I can't afford it" days. You walk in, say "I can't afford it" at the cashdesk and you can get in for free, no background checks, no further questions. If you don't want to say it, a written note is enough. They do no checks or questions because they say that everyone knows best himself if he can afford it or not.
We've stumbled across this one before, but haven't watched the whole thing. Really enjoyed watching you react to this. We have our own model train layout, but it's small.
Really amazing. I've been there three times and more visits will follow for sure. But if you ever come to germany you have to book your Tickets for that weeks before. Otherwise could be hard to get them. You can spend hours and hours there without getting bored.
as a native and still resident German I need to say . . . first take a deep breath . . . "every time we make it we make it the best we can" (didn't Jasper Newton Daniel once say exactly the same ?) 🙂 It's kinda genetic, kinda curse, we always want to be as perfect as possible. But this thing in Hamburg really kicks ass
If you can, visit it yourself and plan a day to visit at it and check out the different regions. The new South America and Antarctica is impressive as well. Even as returning visitor: you always find something new. They have two restaurants/bars, also one serves American styled burgers. It's advisable to book your tickets online to have your slot. Especially in the summer time random visits can mean waiting times of 2h and more. Also they have on their website videos about current projects, what the people doing all day. It's German but English subtiles are provided by them.
The founders, mechanics and builders invented all the programs and technology by theirselves and visited all the lands and places to get a clear image to make such detailed miniatures.
I was there many many many years ago, when they were building the original plane prototype for the airport, and the entire display only occupied part of the original building! What they have acieved since then is a marvel.
Btw the sunflowers where build by Fans, you can't buy them!! So the Wunderlandians asked the comunity for help and they said yes we help and the Wunderland send the parts to them and they build them and send them back, as far as I know these are ower 7K of flowers!! They build Monaco at the time but they don't wanna open it without a Formel1 race there, the Model part is allraedy complet but they had problems with the racetrack, for over 2 yaers they don't find a platine builder who make the track, finerly they found one in a town near by me! They are working over 9 yaers now on they track. There is a video on youtube with Nico Rossberg about the racetrack.
One might think that the prosperity shown in miniature, the well-organized and clean cities in Miniatur Wunderland are flourishing to the same extent that the real cities in Europe and the USA are degenerating. The Miniatur Wunderland as a relaxing holiday in a better world. I can still remember the beginnings of MW. Back then, a good 20 years ago, it was much smaller and much less perfect. And yet it was already the holy grail of miniature railway enthusiasts back then. This installation more than deserves the high number of visitors and the high reputation worldwide. One of the must-see tourist attractions in Germany.
It's incredible. You can stand at one spot for 1 or 2 minutes and just look at all details, then take 2 steps to the side and spend 1 or 2 minutes again with the new view that you have. And still you will miss details. The amount of details there is so much - I can tell you, it's really almost TOO much, when you are there. You will be so exhausted when you leave. So much to see. And they're adding more constantly. They just finished Patagonia, their new South America world. And they're working at a working F1 track, with actual F1 cars racing against each other on the track. I talked to them on a BTS tour - for the F1 cars, they contacted a Chinese manufacturer with their requirements. They took months, and in the end, that Chinese manufacturer said that they could not do it. They are using linear motor technology for accelerating these cars, the same technology that rollercoasters and particle accelerators use. But all miniaturized, which makes it pretty difficult, apparently. In short, they're very innovative and dreamers and visionaries, always pushing forward.
I was there now three times, even if you would come one year later you would see so many new things. It is amazing. Once we made a "Behind the scenes"-tour, what you got to see there is even more amazing. About the planes you mean they fly around and come back. I think they don't do it. Why? I just imagine it is like the cars and other moving stuff. Below that what you can see are several floors of buildings holding parking places, train stops and uncountable streets and rails. So a car running on top "vanishes" into the ground, there it got parked, the battery reloaded at the parking place and then some time later it will go on again. All fully computer controlled. So I assume, those planes are also having some kind of a parking place. They do this, to keep the variety bigger. It would be boring to see the same 5 planes just coming back all the time, right? So they might have 20 models or more to keep it interesting. And if you think you come back to a place you know already, you are wrong. Beside the main attractions all those smaller things, like a couple having sex on a grassland? It might be gone and exchanged against something else or it moved and now they are having sex under a tree. It is absolutely amazing. The last time I was there was about 2006? They still try to buy or rent more of the building to extend all that. If you go there and come from far away? Be ready to spend several days there just to get a hint of what is going on. When it comes to competing with Miniaturwunderland, there were several tries. I know of one in Berlin and one in Asia, but they both failed miserably in size and variation. Just to get an imagination what they are doing there, they take original stuff you can buy for such a train set and then they modify it to create special look for their situation. The cars get disassembled to build in battery, motor and electronic so they can drive controlled on the roads. Everywhere are small hidden openings, so they can rerail trains or correct other things. You mentioned those sunflowers. I'm sure you can't buy them anywhere, every single sunflower is handmade by someone of the staff. When you have the chance to get there don't miss it! If possible try to get one of the tours, but they are hard to get as there are only a few every day and normally you need to book them long in advance. There is also a chance that you the tour is cancelled as they only make one if a minimum number of guests making the tour. So getting a tour with a group might be easier.
There is a German term called „Deutsche Gründlichkeit“ (German Diligence). The Miniature Wonderland is the summit of German Diligence, when it comes down to detail!
please come to germany and we will show you. We like your reacts in germany an d over gemany. Also Rammstein react. 🙂When you want, you can have one week for visit us... your welcome.
3:47 Detail? The video is 5 years old. And the creators become more "crazy" every single day. In the last years opened some more parts and every new section is more detailed and realistic than any older one. And they are planning new sections even more detailed, realistic and full of extraordinary technique. When successfully developed, the F1 in Monaco will be outstanding. And I give the project a high percentage of success. But as usually in product development, you don´t know, when you have finished.
12:46 Monaco and France opened in 2020. Like the Rio de Janeiro construction phase before it, Patagonia was also created in collaboration between the Wunderland team and the Martinez family in Buenos Aires. After four years of construction, the new world opened in May 2023.
This Promo Video ist 5 years old. They built new areas: Brazil, Patagonia, Antarctis, the "Drake Passage" in a whole new house. You can shrink in a 3D experience and "walk" in the Cities they build!
If it is going too fast: 1. There are some more videos about the wonderland on RUclips, but probably in German. 2. Just visit it in person. You saw, the whole thing is free to peoople of all ages. And they already build pu South America in the next warehouse on the other side of the road, with their own pedestrian bridge.
There is even a video where they show the bridge being delivered and put in place by a huge crane. There you can see the two creators of all of this, too! Being excited like little boys on Christmas 😊

There#s a video about the Speicherstadt on their official RUclips channel. With a Wunderland inside the Wunderland inside the Wunderland.
What is a nice idea - in many museums and such here in Germany it is not liked if you take photos. In the Wunderland they actually ask you to take photos and share them online and with friends.
Or they make you pay a few Euro extra for a "Foto Genehmigung".
They even recharge the battery of your camera or smartphone.
Miniature Wonderland is a paradise for model train fans.
well this is one very popular Video - im glad I am not the only one who loves watching this -- you KNOIW I have to check out the up to date version of this world next :)
I've been there 3 months ago for the 3rd time. And it's been phantastic again! Always worth a visit.
Brilliant reaction as well!❤
I love him, so funny 😂
Miniatur- Wunderland is really breathtaking! I spent there almost one hole day and would love to go again.
The Miniatur Wunderland is an absolute blast for everyone. You actually can't help but be amazed. Always worth a visit. Greetings from the wonderful north 👍
When I see this video, I realize that I haven't been there for 5 years and how many new things have been added. I have to go to Hamburg again.
its an old video. they have doubled the size now and have invented several things. also they have a partnership with a big amusement parc. you can now walk yourself as a minature you throught the wonderland by virtual reality and many things more. there is a big documentation out about the wonderland where you can see more.
greetings
p.s. i am living a 90 minute drive away from this ^^
P.s. Mach ihn doch nicht noch neidischer 😂🥲🥲🙏
7:11 German culture shock kicks in 😃
I visited the "Miniatur Wunderland" many times in many years. You can always find something new by every visit, even in the older sections, it is fantastic. On every visit to Hamburg I buy a ticket and forget about live for a while.
Very cool reaction!
I have been there in 2006 with my parents, my wife and our daughter. It was a great entertainment for all ages. Since then they expanded the Miniatur Wunderland heavily.
The only thing that amazes me more is seeing you being amazed by this video.
I live in germany but I was not there😕.I have to visit it❤
Much of the scenery is available commercially, even the sunflowers.
It takes a whole day to see everything and still miss a lot of details...now two buildings are connected by a glass bridge through which trains also run...an experience
Greets from germany
Now, suddenly Hamburg is on the bucket list for Germany, isn't it?
Look at RAILZ MINIWORLD in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Can you find the penguins on the icefloe in the harbour?
😁 That's my favorite little joke they put in.
Don’t tell him that there is also a virtual Miniature Wunderland where you experience the real exhibition as a miniature character.
Yes its so ! Look yourself its fantastic !
Having been there, my family spent 2 afternoons there back to back, and i missed plenty of things, it's incredible.
Hello D
I have been following your reactions for years now and love your Home free reactions, Tommy Johansson Dan Vasc...all my favourite singers.
Now you ended up in my hometown. I am born and live in this beautiful city and I am quite happy you found this video. Miniture wonderland is our pridecand joy and you only find it here.
Greetings from good old Germany, i love you´r reaction. Peace out dude.
Their model railroad shares a building with a history based indoor horror theme park - the Hamburg Dungeon - so they were pretty much restricted on two or three floors of that late 19th century warehouse building.

That's actually DJ Bobo.
As far as you can get away from Rammstein, classical orchestra notwithstanding.
Hahah my first thought when the concert popped up was "RAMMSTEIN!" :D Imagine a little Till on the stage there :)
omg that would have been brilliant
@@ReactionsbyD Sorry it's only an concert of DJ-Bobo an switzerland entertainer. He was there for the first presentaition of the concert an the Miwula. There are so many prominent people visiting miwula an photografed an singning th picures.
Go ,visit Hamburg and this Land that blows your mind away. They are true Artists to create and realize their dream come true, almost all continents allready are realized and they won,t never stop.i live near Hamburg,i visited it over 50 times and stiĺ have not seen all derails
It must be said though that the twins who started this weren't millionaires. Far from it. They basically put every cent they made back into the project so it could grow and grow and grow and they could hire more great people. They are amazing guys and I love watching them talk about the project and their visions.
The stuff the Wunderland has done since 2020 is just beyond amazing. Currently they are working on a fully automated Formula one track.
We germans love model making.. ^^ its in our DNA .. and it must be hyper realistic every time XD.. i love how his chin dropped in the first few seconds of the video XD
funfact: this is how it started:
"Hey, I have a good idea! how about we build the world largest model railway?!"
".... you have a heatstroke."
Really great reaction ❤. Greetings from Hessen 🍻
Two typical examples:
In July 2012 I took the guided tour and when I saw the Thai Airways A380 in the airport I said "Oh you are ahead of your time" The guide: "Why??" "Well in real life Thai Airways will not have the A380 before November." "Oh", the guide replied, "I will not tell the bosses because they would take it out until then, and that would be a shame because it is so beautiful".
(Always pre-book a visit, that's my advice)
Also the owners of this whole thing are really great persons.
You can spend hours and hours there without getting bored.
that is beautiful
I wish we did these things here.
as a native and still resident German I need to say . . . first take a deep breath . . .
"every time we make it we make it the best we can"
(didn't Jasper Newton Daniel once say exactly the same ?) 🙂
It's kinda genetic, kinda curse, we always want to be as perfect as possible.
Glad you liked it :)
I was there many many many years ago, when they were building the original plane prototype for the airport, and the entire display only occupied part of the original building! What they have acieved since then is a marvel.
I agree, D! That concert needs more RAMMSTEIN! :D
I do N scale, so I would love to see a layout of this magnitude in that size.
Oh Yes, Hamburg my City in Love 🥰🥰🥰 I live her and I'm proud 🤩
It is here in Hamburg northern Germany i was there some Times, all is Handmade and very Spactecular, a must have seen if you are in northern Germany.
I only live an hour's drive away and have not yet managed to visit Miniatur Wunderland.😔

Visit Germany and looking Hamburger Dungen in the same House.
You should watch the video about how the two brothers started the Miniatur Wunderland.
I was there a couple of months ago. It is amazing.
I hope so that Gerrit (one of the owner brothers) realizes the Formula One track at Monaco with real races.
We use to have a spot like this in NYC call Gulliver gate 😢😮sad it's gone
travel to germany cause of the beauty stay in germany casue of the freedom
good reaction! well done!
fuc me i'm laughing my ass off xDDD you rock
Mate, it‘s not only in the states. People over here also get offended by almost anything…
Think about to "staubsaugen" "dustclean " all of this 265.000 Figures!
There is a German term called „Deutsche Gründlichkeit“ (German Diligence). The Miniature Wonderland is the summit of German Diligence, when it comes down to detail!
D...please view Ptx singing...CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE...beautiful....
You have to follow their RUclips channel
please come to germany and we will show you.
This year, i was there. and one day is not enough to watch.
I think you have 2 go there
You have to come to Germany, you will love it
I always wondered how they keep it clean from dust. How van you vacuum clean all those details?
This is really mindblowing, beyond imagination.... the porn film set is absolutely stunning!!
If it is going too fast:
