Although, since a time has been passed from the making of the video I recommended performing another experiment, with the same items Just add a removable plug to each number on the top of the ship model and with the rope hang on them, pushing with a constant tension side ways changing the position if the plug accordingly with each number, you will notice a variation on the directionally stability of the model (variation of heading) and when these variation change in opposite ways its mean that you found the pivot point.
