It's a good detail how underwater the silhouette makes it seem like she made a cake, but when presented it's a mishmash of underwater stuff even if the intention was there it's presented almost like; "I make you a cake"
The desire to share love doesn't always come across the way you want. But the love in trying is always there. Love the mermaid's face when the book just disintegrates. The smooth facial expressions are just so nice.

I think my favorite thing about RUclips is getting the opportunity to see these class projects for film design and animation displayed for the whole world to enjoy. Just imagine, without the internet and RUclips, these wonderful pieces of art would be locked inside a classroom, never to be shared with the public.
It's crazy to think I get to work with this incredibly talented person! I loved the cute little story, the beautiful backgrounds, adorable expressions and everything about this little project. Man! This is the exact relationship between two characters I have, a sea creature and a human who works in a diner (called Hungry Shark). Even the designs are similar, with the human having dark skin with brown hair and the sea creature being greenish. I miss creating stories with them now...

I love the seamless movement both with walking and swimming. Every bit of this is so creative! Like when the fish gets an idea and it is their lure. So freaking cute!! THIS IS SO CUTE!! I love the emotion this has, its so cozy and fun, and makes the entire thing such a comfortable watch. I love how well the expressions alone tell the story without even needing dialogue, and how the two characters designs have such a good duality to them, both in physical traits and in their colour palettes (human vs fish, warm tones like red and brown vs cool tones like blue and green-ish). I also love the little details, like the mermaid putting their hair up to "cook" with their torn-up apron, or the angler bulb lighting up like a lightbulb with their idea. Just incredible work all around by you and your team!!! :O

When I saw that the human was only bringing bread a part of me assumed that this was going to take a... darker direction... I've been hurt by too many indie animations and video games.
The is perfect. The animation, that “warm” art style, the facial expressions, the smooth movement, the background and ESPECIALLY the way characters are they have SO MUCH expression and emotions without uttering a single word. All I can say about this animation is that it’s the most spectacular animation ever and this is for a semester test??? Bro I hope you get a full mark for this.

Love your expressions! They convey the emotions very clearly without any words needed. The kindness/acceptance/gratitude shown in such a short animation is wonderful. Not sure if you are familiar with The Little Trashmaid webcomic, but I'm reminded of their character Tidy. Not just cause she is a mermaid, but they share innocent/naive enthusiasm.
