Would really like to see an option of the 2019-2023 Ranger! The block is a bit different, however the internal components should be similar. Easy transition for an additional market! Ill be your guinea pig and promotor! At the moment I am E50, 57mm turbo and FBO around 400hp. This would be the next logical step. :-)
Hello i drive a 2021 focus st my question does this Forged Closed Deck 2-litre / 2.3-litre EcoBoost Short-block [Mk3 Focus ST/RS] engine fit my focus and its with out the head ?how mutch would it cost me for a complete one ready to swap its difficult i live in belgium and my ecu is now running on m330 im just looking to run it around 400 bhp does it need mapping after or can it run on m330 map? For mot over here to pass emissions also like too know if its separate turbo manifold kind regards bart
Help Monkey London rebuild the pink max power RS2000 escort engine please, it’s just gone pop at Brands. You guys built it originally and it would be great to see you working together on the project again on the channel. Cheers
@@mitchellsteindler Not an opinion, just a sarcastic comment. There is much suggestion that the EcoBoost 2.3l unit is not a great engine. I was simply pointing out that the block can't be bad if it can cope with this amount of power.
@@moonchild666 Too many people don't know that the problem was wrong gaskets. Apparently the mustang and the focus have similar but different head gaskets. If I remember correctly the mistake was found by a customer. RS engines were wearing Mustang head gaskets.
@@IvoRadev This is exactly how I understand it. How this occurred is still a bit of a mystery. Although it was an oversight during manufacture, proper replacement of the gasket sorts the issue. If there really was an inherent problem with the unit, Ford would surely NOT be installing it in the new ST? Detuned or not.
Engine alone is $15k on their website. Figure $2k for fuel upgrades $3k for turbo & plumbing $2k for exhaust $5k for trans $4k for clutch and axles $2k for cooling $5k for brakes and suspension $3k for wider wheels and tires $4k for install So for about $45k you can have a seriously bad-ass Focus RS ... as long as you already own a $40k Focus RS. For $85k I'm buying a GT350R (and putting $10k in the bank). Sure the Focus will win a drag race, but who cares?
Will this kit be for sale?
If so, when?
I need some of that DI solution for my RS. E85 and about 400whp that all I want for x-mas
Well done mountune your r&d is amazing and that will be crazy in a focus rs cheers steve👍😀
How much to put this in my RS is what I want to know.

Open deck block still? I'd be surprised
Darton Sleeves.
Appreciate there's been a lot of improvements made to this particular unit, but this engine is weak. Apparently.....🙄 Big numbers. Congrats Mountune.
