Nothing wrong with the title. It’s consistent with the other Prime games. You don’t know what you’re talking about, dude. This is part of a Prime series. Removing Prime is just plain dummm.
@@DanielMazahreh Yeah I agree. Same with how Hunters still had "Metroid Prime" in its title despite the fact that it had nothing to do with Phazon or Dark Samus/Metroid Prime.
Metroid Fusion & Dread found a way to incorporate the idea of Metroids after their “extinction” So it’s still possible that the Prime title can still be relevant.
Here's my speculation on the Prime title in three steps: 1. Sylux has been keeping tabs on Samus as he's shown following her around so it's safe to assume he knows about Metroid Prime. 2. In Federation Force he breaks into Federation installation and steals a newly hatched Metroid. 3. Space Pirates, with Sylux's help, are going to try and create a new Metroid Prime somehow.
If we might return to Tallon IV, then the Prime moniker might make sense. What if we returned to past worlds before the Leviathans impacted with some time of time travel mechanic? This may be hinted at with the subtitle Beyond and the worm hole like logo.
Yeah, I've seen this posted, especially recently, that there are people that don't like that they are continuing with the "Metroid Prime" name using the "Because Metroid Prime was in all 3 games, one way or another" argument. At this point, I think it's just save to assume that Metroid Prime is just a brand-name and doesn't have any deep meaning to it. Metroid Prime Hunters didn't have any Metroid Prime/Dark Samus in it and had nothing to do with the trilogy or phazon what-so-ever, but it still bore the "Metroid Prime" name. Also Metroids as a whole are extinct as of the end of Fusion, but the series will still be called "Metroid" even games that take place post-Dread. And even if Samus didn't have Metroid DNA, I don't think that would stop the games from being called "Metroid." That being said, I would not at all be against them changing the series name to "Metroid Beyond," it has a certain flare to it. But I don't really care one way or the other.
Prime is just the title of First person metroid at this point. Prime: hunters, and prime: federation force have nothing to do with phazon, or metroid prime and still are part of the Metroid prime series.
I’d argue that the Prime moniker has surpassed the Prime being. In the trilogy it is a direct reference to it and that’s obviously where the title initially came from. However we also have Prime Hunters and Prime: Federation Force which have nothing to do with the actual Metroid Prime (though both do feature Sylux). Overall it has come to just mean 3D Metroid
Apparently Kensuke Tanabe (I believe that is the correct name) has mentioned an interest in exploring time travel for Metroid Prime 4. Perhaps Sylux tries to steal the wormhole device seen in the background of the trailer and the logo in order to go back in time and bring back Metroid Prime / Dark Samus, or something to that effect.
I am super hyped for this! We've been waiting 7 years for this game, and we're finally getting it next year! As for the name, It's a fitting name, in my opinion. The name kind of makes me think, okay, we're going beyond the threat of Metroid Prime and having to deal with a threat that might be even worse. Don't know if that makes sense or not, but that's how the game title strikes me. Either way, I am definitely pre-ordering Metroid Prime 4 Beyond as soon we get a release date, and it becomes available for pre-order. 😁
Sylux being in gives me a small hope that the rest of the hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters will be in. But since Sylux is the only one of the six they acknowledged in Prime 3 and Federation Force, I'm not holding my breath. I felt all 6 of the hunters were really neat designs, although they had fairly bad presentation in the game itself. (No dialogue, extremely little in the way of cutscenes that give us a show-don't-tell depiction of their character or personality, for the most part we just have to infer things based on their official bios.)
I really like the theory about Silux being Samus's long lost brother. If that is actually true, i cant wait to see how they interact. If im being honest, I would be a bit disappointed if Silux gets the Dark Samus treatment in which you fight a few times before a final standoff. It blew my mind seeing Samus speak in Dread so this would easily be something she would talk for. I cant wait to see where this goes!
The “metroids” that appear alongside Sylux are actually Mocktroids, imperfect clones of Metroids created by the Space Pirates. They make their first appearance in Super Metroid and are distinguished by only having one spherical nodule instead of three.
You mention how her suit is redesigned as if taking elements from Dread. But it more closely resembles her design from Metroid Prime 2: Echos and the other Metroid Prime titles that came out afterwards
It has been pointed out, but the Metroids flanking Sylux could be Mochtroids. The single nuclei vs three or more and alliance with the Space Pirates seem to make that plausible
Yeah, I just didn’t notice at first. That also makes way more sense considering how Sylux was seen (presumably) stealing an infant Metroid at the end of Federation Force. Probably tried cloning them soon afterwards.
I agree with your comments about the name. I kind of hope by the time they release they game, they decide to drop 'Prime 4' from the title, so it's just Metroid Beyond…it'll also make customers not feel like they need to play the first 3 to enjoy this one
The Prime designation is for this style of Metroid. I’m fine with it. Maybe they can work it into the story and somehow make it make sense like they did with Dread. I have more of a problem with Beyond. Doesn’t sound Metroidy enough. I would’ve went with Singularity or Anomaly
To me, Metroid Prime itself never felt like the thing that defined the Prime series. Like, I always got the sense that the boss was named after the game itself, rather than the games being named after the boss. Plus, I feel like calling it something other than Prime might confuse some newer fans into not realizing that it was still Prime 4, which could kill some of the hype that came from the game being talked about for so many years before the official trailer.
I would honestly be amazed if this was the switch only version of this game..looks like alot is going on in the background to keep the frame rates at 60. It's gonna release on switch no question but that could be built for the successor version.
“Somehow Dark Samus returned” 🤣 I guess it is possible, but man I would hate that. After traveling all the way to Phaaze, and then destroy Dark Samus and the whole planet, it would be really cringey to bring back Dark Samus AGAIN after all that.
Im not sure if you already made a video or not but itd be cool to see a video about what you'd like to see in prime 4 like any new mechanics, anything to improve on from the previous games, etc.
I am very happy at the current gameplay, this is my most anticipated game in years, but I will say my hype isn’t like through the roof rn. I think they held back a lot they have to show later
I don’t think we’ll see MP2 and MP3 anytime soon. It will be Nintendo’s next console in late 2025, then on the console after that there will be a Prime trilogy.
I get your point why MP4 Beyond is a weird name but it has to be called Metroid Prime 4 because its a sequel to MP3. People would get really confused if the sequel to MP3 would me "Metroid Beyond".
I dont think the game has to litteraly be about the character metroid prime to be titled "metroid prime". Thats just because a sequel to a game called "metroid prime 3", it just makes sense to call it "metroid prime 4" even if metroid prime isnt in this one. Its part of the "metroid prime series" because its based on the gameplay and follows the storyline of the previous "metroid prime' games. Its simply the best way to communicate to players that this is the successor to metroid prime 3
Which Prime game was your favorite of the first 3?
Prime 2
Prime 2
Nothing wrong with the title. It’s consistent with the other Prime games. You don’t know what you’re talking about, dude. This is part of a Prime series. Removing Prime is just plain dummm.
Prime 1 is probably my favourite, followed by 2, followed by 3. But I absolutely loved them all.
@@DanielMazahreh Yeah I agree. Same with how Hunters still had "Metroid Prime" in its title despite the fact that it had nothing to do with Phazon or Dark Samus/Metroid Prime.

Great to see posting over here again. Keep the videos coming because 2025 is so far away 😫
Count on it!

Surprised that they didnt announce prime 2/3 as well as hunters before 4

A Metroid Beyond trilogy could've been an incredible oportunity just imagine:
1. Metroid Beyond
2. Metroid Beyond: Chaos
3. Metroid Beyond: Lightfall
Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. Just have "Beyond" take the place of "Prime"
This direct is the very definition of Zeltroid.
I want to see a Dread sequel.
Its very interesting that Metroid has two storylines by two different developers.
Technically they have the same main producer but yeah. It is interesting that 3D ans 2D are managed by different studios.
FINALLY WE GOT M4
MP4*
MP4. M4 was Fusion.
I hadn’t thought about the name Metroid Prime not really being applicable anymore but just calling it Metroid Beyond is a great point…
Can’t wait to watch you play it!

I'd love to see Cielolab again in this game. Elysia was my favourite planet in corruption. The atmosphere and the music is outstanding.

Noticed that also

Well silux does have 2 metroids with him. Maybe he will attempt to mutante them into prime's🤔
👾
Dude, are you Jonny Arnett?
Wait. You are! 😂 That's a coincidence. I love your NBA channel!
Thanks man!! Welcome to my other channel! Always cool to run into another Basketball fan who ALSO digs Metroid 🫡
You're not nitpicking you're just mistaken
That would be an objective level of betrayl
Multi-player.
Who's gonna tell him that those aren't Metroids?
was the metroid prime in hunters or federation force? no so nobody cares xD
those are mochtroids not metroids
