Becoming a cop should be more difficult. 4-8 year process. They should be paid handsomely considering they’re pillars and leaders of their community. Then we wouldn’t have some of these bozo cops. I’m not saying cops are bad, but I do believe the system needs adjusting. Being a cop should be equal to becoming a lawyer or doctor. Not something you choose between that or working at the local factory.

Good luck (in my country at least) getting a law enforcement job without a 2 year degree in policing or 4 year undergrad in a related field. Then you have to give the agency of your choice access to basically your entire life (from online profiles, calling ex gfs, to a lie dete tor test) ontop of ~5-10 police board/panel interviews. Once they accept you as a POSSIBLE candidate you start 1 year of training at policing academy, PREP & PIN test, written test, and then at least a year as a cadet or "rookie" on the job where you are partnered with a seasoned officer. Not to mention they won't even look at you if your under 25. So no, in the real world not every cop chose it over flipping burgers.

Well, not sure if RUclips section is the best way to discuss this here are the infos I jave about the topic:
- I live in Czech Republic my whole life, most of it in Prague (so I mostly know people from the "metropolitan bubble")
- out of all the people I know, only with 4 I talked about them having firearm license
- I read stats about the amount of armed citizens in EU per capita... and our country was quite up there... so there is clearly good percentage of people in our country who do own guns....
That said, I have never really seen anyone else than police carry guns in the public. It's not a trend in schools and only one political party has gun ownership as a topic among their goals...
That's why I have the impression that an average person in our country (definitely compared to the US) has less knowledge, if any, about guns

"Would you rather have one person die, or have 3 people die?" What you're supposed to do when there is an armed suspect on a crowded transit is keep the officer count to a minimum. One officer. Thanks for talking about this, I worked with this guy a few times and he’s a real gentleman. He ALWAYS had your back no matter what. Our DA’s are scum and if you google it we had two DAs in the bronx make a video a little while ago that told people to shoot us, those same DAs also called for violence against cops this year and they manage to still have their jobs.
We also now not only have this entire city against us but now our own government is calling for us to get hurt, it’s disgusting. Thanks for talking about this, our department is a shit show now it’s sad. PS there are a few celebrities who said these cops should “be taken care of”.
