You can tell from his tone that he only had a couple hours left in his shift, and "well, now this is happening."
Odd though. Motorized Bike = moped. They are street legal in every state. (the trick being they are ONLY legal on the street -- considered the same as a motorcycle)
Now the electric skateboards and electric assisted bikes are in limbo -- but Mopeds are not. I had a license for one 35 years ago.
The one time I was pulled over on a moped by a cop (at 15) it was because I was trying to let him PASS me. He pulled me over, told me that I had the same right to the lane he did and that cars passing needed to do a legal pass like it was any other vehicle. "If I was in a hurry I would have been running my lights"
@@redwolfexr It depends on the state. Mopeds require a drivers license in NJ for example, and motorized bicycles are illegal if they can travel more than 25 MPH. Over 25, they can be considered off-road bikes, depending on the equipment attached such as mirrors, etc, and fall into a different set of legal restrictions
@@soulife8383 Yes, Mopeds have been around forever. I don't know of a state that makes them illegal on the roads with a proper license. (and NC doesn't even require a license at all)
Over 25 they are a motorcycle. Pedals or not, pretty sure that is everywhere. The trick is that cops can't really tell by looking.

Well, to be fair, I think that bike kit is a 49cc 2 stroke air cooled Chinesium kit because my brother built one a while back, and one of my high school friends. So, in most states, as long as a motor is 49cc or lower, it's legal to drive on the road. At least that's the law in Pennsylvania.
