Once everyone figured it out the pediatrician should have explained about albinism and what the child needed to be safe and healthy. This is such a nice family. These kids will be alright.

OMG I'm so glad to see your channel. My brother was albino. He was in the NYC twin tower attack so he's watching over us now. Where we Live now there are more albinos. He was the best brother.. He got teased so much when we were younger but he built up a thick skin and learned to ignore people. when he got.into.college he joined a fraternity and when he became an adult he helped so many people. He was the best brother anyone could.ask for. Education is KEY!
Albinism occurs most often in Tanzania Africa --1 in every 1000 births. Compared to Europe, USA or Canada 1 in every 20,000 to 35,000 births. Wow, how amazing!! Kids like every one else. They just have lighter skin & eyes while sensitive to sunlight. One of God's beautiful creations which we as humans cannot explain, right? 🤷🏾♀️🤗
Admire yr honesty on how yr lack of being educated on his condition affected yr ability to connect w yr child at first- that takes a real one, yr family is very beautiful it seems, every child ❤
When I was in Middle School in VA in the early 90's I had a best friend who had Albinism. She invited me over to her house and I was shocked to find out she had a sister with it too. She explained to me that it was rare for two to be born in the same family. Her name was Fatima. I wish I knew what she is up to now.
I grew up in the Canal Zone, Republic of Panama. The San Blas Islands are the home of the Kuna (Cuna, Guna) indigenous people. The Kuna Indians are a small indigenous population in Central America, which independently own the province of Kuna Yala that spans some 400 miniature San Blas Islands off the east Panama coast. Their island population of about 30,000 resides in compact quarters, inhabiting only a few of those islands because they value family and tightly knit community over independent personal spread. The Kuna Indians have the world's highest rate of oculocutaneous albinism (specifically OCA2), with an estimated frequency of 1:160. The albinos, called the Moon Children, play a central role in Kuna mythology, are revered to have special powers and subsequently are often rendered prime positions in the community, such as doctors, shamans, and leaders. While appreciable anthropologic data has been gathered about the Kuna albinism, there has been surprisingly minimal medical research. This is likely in part because of the relative impermeablility to Westernization by this proud and hard-working community. I have never had a problem accepting albinism in anyone. I think that your family is completely amazing.
Nah, no one can ever tell me those aren't her kids; they all look like her and are so incredibly beautiful. People really need to opt for understanding the basic concepts of genetics and hereditary defects instead of spreading hate and racism
Beautiful family. Great job with educating people on Albinism. Small minded people will always be small minded. Your kids will grow as healthy, strong, and happy kids because of the unconditional love you give...
Can so identify with the shock of removing the little hat following birth and seeing the blond hair. Was same in my family. We're all dark and you don't notice the hair until the baby's been cleaned up.
Love your Family. Yes Education for those that don't know. My neighbor was an albino and all the kids in the neighborhood loved him the same. God Bless you and much love!!🥰🦋
That is because kids don't care about things like skin color, children are not born racist, bigoted, sexist, homophobic, hateful etc, all of those things are taught and passed on by ignorant adults and an ignorant world.
I love that the family is super together and supportive. When they grow up, I wonder if any of their children would also have albinism since having 2 siblings with it is so rare!
You’re dope in my eyes. I have albinism in my family, my mom actually thought I would be albino, but I wasn’t. So I totally understand, keep doing you boo
Oh Ashley your story made me cry. I am a white, blonde hair woman who adopted my daughter when she was 13. She is black and when we go out, even now we get stares. In 2023 people still take a double look. Your story filled me with so much hope and joy. Thank you for sharing
@@queennanna5595I think she just means like it's a different time. We are all fully aware of how blacks were treated. And it's something that isn't always easy for others to digest. I do feel like there are genuine people who actually do care enough to look beyond our skin tone and just see a person. I remember walking in a shoe store with a child who's mixed and the guy who worked there is Mexican I believe. He said to me how could you do that knowing what they did to your people like why. In actuality I couldn't get offended fully because I understood his point of view. However I don't want to carry that thought everytime I look at a white person. Theres a girl who I work with who doesn't like white people because of that very issue. It's very challenging to be honest. I feel like it is the stupidest thing to have been in rage about. My brother was married to an albino, she was a fantastic person! None of the family treated her any differently, we loved her. Sadly, she had heart problems and passed away. May she R.I.P.
It's so bizarre to me that people look at those two kids and think they were caucasian. They don't look white at all. Their features are absolutely black, and the skin color, and lack of pigment in their eyebrows, eyelashes and hair make it plain as day they are albino. In fact, if i saw them with a white couple, i would assume they had been adopted, because they are clearly not white. No idea what people are seeing.

What a beautiful family! It’s heartbreaking that anyone could or would think differently. I grew up being constantly asked if I was adopted, being asked where I was from. And now I have kids that fit into an ‘other’ category. It’s hard and emotionally draining. Ashley, your family thrives because of you and your support people. Even though it might be tough sometimes, you are making the world better, more inclusive, more accepting and more beautiful with your beautiful children. Thank you. My only advice is to always be open and honest with your kids and keep them talking and expressing their feelings (super important for them to talk, no bottled up emotions).

Yes, I couldn’t agree more, this is an extraordinary family because the Mother is dynamic and expansive. She has shared her story of her own personal episode of ignorance in relation to birthing a child with albinism. May her experience serve as a lesson and guide. #ONELOVE
I’m so glad we got to hear her/their story! I follow them on social media and love this family ❤
Cool.
*The haters are definitely jealous of your happiness and positivity. Continued blessings!* 🥰
Your children are beautiful and the negative people are not worth the time. You are doing the right thing by showing them that they are beautiful, they are shining examples of what good people are like. Keep up the great job!
What a beautiful family you’ve made. Beautiful mom makes beautiful children.
True.
All her kids are so cute! What a lovely little unit ❤️
Can we just applauded this amazing mother?!!!! 👏 💯♥️🩷😁
Heck no!!
@@carrieanncancino5118 you are sick... Please please please get help
Yes 🥰🥰
👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
@@carrieanncancino5118 Why?
The craziest part to me was that she'd never heard of albinism into her 20s
2:31 Both babies look exactly like her!
Didn't you know that would happen?
That shouldn't have even been a thing.
This is NOT THE SAME SITUATION SMH!!! You cannot teach and prepare a lil beautiful brown princess the things she can only learn from a black mother figure. It may hurt but it's the truth I pray some people who look like her are around her daily. 🤦🏾♀️
@@maryv7677 when have white racists looked past our skin tones and actually started to treat us as equals eventhough were are not? Don't expect anything from us go check your own people.
@@Shalom12Judah bro... Just no
What a beautiful family! Keep affirming your wonderful children. They will need it in the crazy world we live in
Be strong and determined to love your family, in South Africa we don't even give these beautiful children a second look, they are a gift from God
Beautiful family. God bless this mom and her children for sharing their story and experience. Keep uplifting your children and never allow negative comments to dimmer your lights and spirits.
I have a cousin with albinism and he was the most adorable baby, and is a handsome grown man ❤❤❤❤ it's ridiculous that someone would even comment with negativity 😒 like albinism has become so exposed and made aware over the years now! Grow up, people! You have a beautiful family, I love this video.
I love how she explains this. So honest
Awww 🥰 She has such a beautiful family. Love it! ☺️ ❤
Your families support for each other is so beautiful!!! Beautiful family ❤️🙏🥰
She's a amazing mother. Beautiful family 💖
Girl KD looks just like you!!!! TT be careful before Tyra Banks put you on the cover of a magazine. All your kids are AMAZING.
“To me he looked nothing like me” baby got her whole face 😂😂😂
Education is very important. I'm glad things worked out, they are a Beautiful Family 💗
I was just like you i thought they had given me the wrong child but 16years later my daughter is doing well and looking like me just in a lighter version i just consider myself blessed i love how all my daughter's are different in complexion cuz that shows how beautiful God has made us n how unique and powerful black couples are ❤️💯
I think KD looks even more like Mom than TT. Both are so beautiful 🥰❤️ God bless
I just started watching your family and I want you to know that I'd love how you can feel the love that you show your kids daily All of your kids.......
They should be on TLC's show Born with Albinism..beautiful, precious kids.
Black is beautiful…in all different shades! You have a beautiful family and I love that you shared your stories and experiences. Thank you!
These kids are legit SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Like , my goodness 😍…. I luv this family so much n mad respect to mom for holdin it all down !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful and amazing family! I can feel the love they have for each other. I love how the mum explained her process of acceptance. Those kids are loved and valued, that's all that matters.
KD is literally the spitting image of his mother without melanin. The fact that she couldn't see is wild lol. But I get it. She didn't know what albinism was
Thank you for sharing about your precious family 😊. I'm 61 and I will never understand why people comment with hate and ignorance. Sending y'all much love
They know ain’t nobody said any of that stuff 😂
I’m light skin and my brother is a brown skin and people either don’t believe we’re siblings or they think we look just alike
I just see a beautiful family that are happy and healthy. ❤
How lucky to be part of such a beautiful family! I'm truly happy for you all, and wish you a blessed life! 😊
Her second child looks so much like her.
My brother was married to an albino, she was a fantastic person! None of the family treated her any differently, we loved her. Sadly, she had heart problems and passed away. May she R.I.P.
What a great mom and beautiful kids. Keep those affirmations going Mama, you know they are awesome kids.
What a beautiful family! Black comes in all shades, from light and dark. There is no standard defined shade of Black.
You have a beautiful family, all your babies are gorgeous, inside & out like their momma :) 💕 Don't pay attention to the negativity!!!
I'm not getting on you, but just from the pictures😊 I do see the facial structures, Sis❤God has a sense of humor🎉
Mama is so gorgeous
It's so bizarre to me that people look at those two kids and think they were caucasian. They don't look white at all. Their features are absolutely black, and the skin color, and lack of pigment in their eyebrows, eyelashes and hair make it plain as day they are albino. In fact, if i saw them with a white couple, i would assume they had been adopted, because they are clearly not white. No idea what people are seeing.
I love how to made the world see how things are yes they are different but their amazing kids your n awesome mom n dad for putting your life out there for the world to see
Your family is perfect! So many people are uneducated, mean and just plain rude. Just keep being the loving Mom that you are and your family will be fine!
My sister I salute you!!!! Absolutely incredible!!! And I absolutely love it!!!! Greetings everyone from Birmingham 😎
That's why you gotta be opened minded to everything. Education never stops because you never stop learning. It will only enrich your mind and enhance your vision in life. Plus, kindness doesn't cost anything.
I’m so glad I grew up in a town with diversity. I knew what an albino was and didn’t think much about the condition cuz I knew people who had it. Embrace and celebrate your uniqueness, we’re all different in one way or another. Be a boring place if not. ❤
Beautiful family, love the positive energy and I praise you for being a strong minded woman and mother. People need to be educated and aware of this. Thank you for putting this out there.
Beautiful mother and children! Blessings❤️
I love their family TikTok videos. TT is soooo hilarious, she needs her own show.
All your children are beautiful! And you are so right your daughter TT does look like a lot like you!
All your children favors you . People are blind if they can't see that. You have a beautiful family 😊
What a beautiful family!
Yep, they're all your kids and what a beautiful family!
One of the best I've seen in a while on truly...informative and enjoyable. Started following them on IG some months ago.
Yeah mama, you know in some places they got strange ideas about albino but its just a thing keep loving those babies
