My son is 4 weeks old now, and it's so nice to be past this part, to all new dads, it's a hard adjustment but you can do it, never give up, having a child is an amazing experience. The last tip is especially important! be her rock!
Thank you for being informative and providing examples and thank you for not being condescending. This is so much better than the first video that came up in the search.
Commenting to show appreciation for this amazing video. I'm a newly pregnant lady already entering third trimester, and my husband has been questioning how or what he can do to prepare for labor and birth. Thankful for your fun and very informative and supportive video. Forwarding to him already. Best wishes to you and your beautiful family! ❤
@@Goosewitdajuice317 Thank you so much! Congratulations on your developing baby! May it be born whole and healthy. 🙏🏻 Learn all you can to assist and support your lady as she needs it. The first months of postpartum are difficult for mom because of multiple reasons. Baby needs a ton of care and attention, mom is very vulnerable and will be bound to baby pretty much 24/7 especially if she chooses to exclusively breast feed or breast feed on demand, all the nights with little to no sleep, no time for herself to eat a normal meal because of baby's schedule and her sleep or lack thereof. Many other reasons including stress from trying to figure out how and when to divide her time and attention between baby and others (partner, parents, other children, etc) along with any household chores she may wish to do but otherwise cannot because of physical limitations and time away from baby where the baby may be fussy or need to eat and mom must be available to meet those needs. Mom needs a lot of exterior support from partner and any family or friends who may be willing or wish to help. Over time, things will settle back into a good routine for all.
Just discovered your channel today. My wife and I are going in for induction tomorrow evening. Thank you for this video! We can’t wait to welcome our LO to the world.
As a mother of four with one on the way I would say you are spot on. Also your video is so funny. Another thing is if you can get her to laugh during labor it can help her body to relax and speed up the labor.
Really great video! I really appreciate this as someone who is about to have a baby myself and I really enjoyed checking out your content as someone who wants to kick off my own new RUclips channel soon!
As i type this we're 37 weeks and its our first baby, i dont know what to think. Ive been all over RUclips watching everything i can see and i still dont feel prepared enough. I just want the two of them to be safe
@@NMaxne our baby is about a month and 3 weeks, she was born through CS but regardless they're both fine. I was extremely paranoid through the whole process but when I saw the two of them I knew everything would be fine. Good luck with your journey
What a husband!...except I know that all of those shots of 'not my wife' are actually all of your wives. Very informative for all future dads. Appreciated the simple slick gfx and aqua neon light in the bg of your talking head. Nice one J! How often are you gonna make vids for this channel?
Thanks Tom, I know it wasn't schnacks but I am glad you gave it the time of day. And thanks for noticing my extreme production value. The plan is one a week at the moment! Next two are already shot, just gotta get editing.
Baby in 4 months! I hate all things medical so I'm spending the next 4 months trying to desensitize as much as possible and be helpful the day of. May still faint
I’m so scared rn I’m crying right now idk what to do .. I’m very much at week 35 ,36 is two days away I’m scared I heard of still births now I can’t sleep.
Hi, I'm so sorry I missed this. My wife had similar fears when she was pregnant with our first. She was convinced something was going to go wrong, despite having every reason to believe that bubba was perfectly healthy. Nightmares, and constant worry. But she got through it. I hope all is well with you! Stay strong!
U seem like a amazing man!Childbirth is def hardest for women but also hard for men as well. Its not the same but emotional its the same!but how to survive it sounds funny tho
During the delivery of our second child, I told my wife, I am going to tell our son that our baby was about to be born!. Wife: We are not done yet! She said, " We're not done!. Me: Let me rephrase that statement. If I don't leave now, I will hit the floor! Wife: BYE! I did return in a few minutes.
Cool info. Just wondering why you show such a stressful version of labour with oxygen masks and 5 people all over this poor woman. It shouldn’t normally be this way.
As a midwife, I agree with all of these points. Good job new dad ^^
Phew thank you! And thanks for what you do, midwives are incredible.
So good to have this sort of positivity and emotional support fathers injected into new fathers’ lives
Agreed! Dad's have heaps to give, and I believe that should be celebrated.
Very comprehensive and sensible advice. Watching this hours before entering the delivery room. Perfect preparation. Thank you.
This is a great video. I haven’t watched anything else yet and I feel like I know loads all of a sudden. Thanks.

Lol, updating family in real time about the birth process is hilarious.
They can wait. Can you focus on your wife?!

hahaha you don't wanna be that dad that drops and steals all the attention of the medical staff away from your wife!
Gonna have my son born in the next two weeks, we’re hoping not to use an epidural but after watching this I’m starting to wonder what she’ll say 😅
"Epidural, it's a giant needle in the back" Why do I feel funny...

Is EVERYONE else not going to say anything about the butcher knife that hacked the cord? BUTCHER KNIFE. shaking the baby? Horrific 😮
It's a comedy sketch
It was satirical
That kid doesnt need you
The world doesn't need you
Nothing....is the answer.
Hey look everyone! I found the shit parent/partner!
Great video! U deserve more views!
