Went from 280 to 190 thanks to this
How long?
Any side effects?
What dose did you start at
Did you change your diet and activity level? Likely that’s why you lost weight, you changed diet and expertises. 14% over 68 weeks is pathetic for a drug. Likely you lost most of it due to change of habit
@@adog7787that’s the whole point, it’s supposed to be a diet suppressant so eating healthy and exercising will increase the weight loss
Lost 18 pounds my first three weeks. Started at 170 down to 153! Amazing!
Wow!It's nice!
Any side effects?
@@paulashields7173 I did experience nausea when I first started and when I increased my dose. That was all, I had zofran to help with that and now I have no further side effects. Thankfully. I work with a lot of ladies that did experience side effects, some to the extent that they had to quit the medication. So I think I am one of the lucky ones.

Wow! that’s impressive. Keep it 👍🏾
Wegovy is incredible. It’s working better for me than Saxenda, which I was on before. I feel full fast, I don’t get cravings…currently on 1.7mg. Side effects are super minimal. No nausea. Wegovy is an amazing drug. I’m down 25 pounds in total in 3 months

Any diarrhea and gas?
I’m hungry all the time still tf smh
I started Ozempic last week. I weighed 326. This is ridiculous! I lost 10 lbs in 1 week! I began to walk and as far as food...All i could stomach was an apple in the morning, 1 apple for lunch and 1 apple and an avocado for dinner. Is this normal? I can not stand the smell of meat or cooked foods.😢 I get grossed out.
Whatever it takes to get to a normal weight, Charlie! Keep going!! 🎉🎉
@charlie-1850 that is one of the side effects,
I would consult with your doctor and ask him what he says. That is not normal. Your body needs protein and nutrients. Just feeding your body on apples 🍏 🍎is not healthy.
Yes. It is within normal range experience. I’d suggest not increasing the dose further but talk with your doc. You don’t want to lose too much muscle in the journey. Some loss is normal and occurs after bariatric surgery as well (just by virtue of substantial weight loss your leg muscles won’t need to be as strong, for instance). So stay active as you can, even considering lowering the dose (some people get a remarkable effect on only 0.25mg) after talking with your doc and see if you can work with an RD on getting adequate protein intake while losing weight to mitigate muscle loss. It won’t take much. Protein has been both over and under rated IMO. There’s a sweet spot. Even an egg white veggie omelette (whites have most of the protein and veggies are best source of micronutrients vs calorie dense egg yolks), cup of lentil soup and a 4 oz piece of salmon - even a quality meal replacement shake (like Zpro25 which includes added vitamins and mineral and was co-designed by an MD nutritionist) or whey protein powder smoothie with berries. Many options. Work with your MD/DO and RD and good luck!
I've lost 13 lbs in just under 4 weeks of the lowest dose of Wegovy.

How’s it going for you now that it’s been 6 months?
@@nolanme it’s worked very well for me. I’m down 20 pounds altogether. I’m on .50 I don’t have a lot of stomach issues. Just very uncomfortable if you eat too much. Only down fall is the $350 a month. I skipped one month and gained 3 pounds so it’s definitely a long term solution unless you get very serious about weight loss which I can’t anymore. I have four jobs and I’m not motivated like I was in my younger years
$1600 a month. 85% of insurance providers in the US don’t cover it. With coupons you can expect a 1300 bill at the pharmacy.
Not true, I work at a pharmacy and has helped with plenty of p/a to get it covered. Typically it's a copay of $50 but yes cash price it's 1,600 before insurance or coupons or presented.
Nonsense insurance 99 percent of the time does not cover any of these weight loss drugs
Have any of you tried Prescription RX?
I lost 25 pounds in three months ,but I felt awful fatigue and I didn't use the bathroom for days at a time don't wish to take this medication ever again...
Did you gain the weight back after stopping the medication?
Wow, results comparable to sticking to a healthy balanced non-druggy regimen. The drug companies make billions, while the patients and/or the government foots the bill, and expose themselves to potential serious side effects.
I saw an immediate impact and lost 50lbs on tirzepatide so far. Started it early Nov.
Where do you get the prescription from
I’m a 39 year old Male, used to be very fit and active. Now I’m 102kilos and totally out of shape. I’ve been on it for 1 week and I’ve lost 3KG already. I’ve been actively eating healthy and of course my appetite is suppressed. So it’s both me and the medicine working.
I’m planning an 8 week course, or 10 weeks MAX. During which I’m planning on losing 15-18 KG. And then maintain with healthy diet and training (which I do anyway).
My question is, will I lose a TON of muscle mass in an 8 week program of Ozempic ?
Not if you lift with progressive overload and eat 1 gram per pound lean body mass per day
How are you getting it covered? My doctor prescribed it and it's costing me 1300 a month out of pocket! I have prescription insurance 😢
Try a drip spa
It seems so expensive in Usa. In uk if you got it from private seller online it ranges from £180-£250 for 1 months supply.
I had to weight loss surgery this sleeve so then I thought I’d try this just to try to get the extra weight off that I am caring but yesterday I took a high dose and it made me so sick. I started throwing up a yellow and it was horrible, but I don’t know if it’s this or if it’s something else but it was very painful. I love the fact you’re losing weight but I just don’t like being sick.
This is why I haven't started it. But my sister says it because of a high dose.

This is Ezempic, an insulin for Diabetes; once you get on you must not stop.

I only want four weeks of treatment
What’s the difference btwn mounjaro and wegovy
These people working out too or are they just laying around or sitting at the desk? Do they physically do strength training
Are there some people this stuff just doesn't work with? I swear I feel nothing even at the highest Doses and have not lost weight
Can you inject in the fat of the arm like you could with Ozempic?
Started Wegovy May 11, 2024. Eating three small protein meals a day. This is not a starvation diet -- you have to eat to lose weight. Down from 228 to 212. I've had many successful weight losses over the years but always regained. Wegovy doesn't MAKE YOU lose weight. Weight loss, and sustaining that weight loss, happens with permanent lifestyle change. You simply cannot go back to your old eating habits. Ever. You can't go back to eating pints of Ben & Jerry's after dinner then going to bed. Keep it in perspective and be honest with yourself about what made you fat. Wegovy is an effective appetite suppressant, but it is merely a tool to help you gain control of overeating and adopt healthier habits.
Can one be on orlistat...while taking wegovy weekly?
Why is 35 times higher from the insurance for the weight loss medication then the diabetic name Brad when it same ingredient?
I lost 3.5 lbs first month. I’m on month 2. Thought I would lose more. When I started I was on the shred diet and walking and doing kettlebells.
68 weeks 😂 , are you freaking serious , l lose 25 pounds in à month doing just the carnivore diet
A lot of people I know have lost more than 50 within a few months, start BMI of 35 😅 .. But they also think about the amount of calories now 😊
I am switching to Ozempic from Manjuro is the middle of August. I have lost 125lbs so far on Manjuro since October 2022! I am taking 15 mg now of Manjuro what dosage do you suggest to start with Ozempic?
So far I’ve 7.4% weight loss in a little under two months.
Weight loss. Not fat loss. Losing all the muscle makes it so much harder when you stop taking it
Is this drug safe for ckd patients?? Plz doc tell me
They don't know. Everything is preliminary. Not even peer-reviewed yet. But the stock price has jumped significantly and they expect to earn billions. Don't risk it, IMO.

@@Ellie80681 I have tried to change my diet I have made myself cut back and eat healthy but I’m still hungry all the time, I don’t do any exercise but I have a very active job. I just hope things kick in soon
Hi Same Day. Semaglutide is probably not going to work for you. Consider talking to your doctor about alternative FDA approved weight loss medications, or possibly adding metformin ER. But if you’ve not noticed any benefits by now, they are unlikely to have a “delayed kick in”. Talk to your doctor. Hope this helps. Good luck!

@@charlie-1850wow great results! Keep it up!
body weight includes muscle loss
why specify in percentage? does it plateau? otherwise such a metric doesn't make sense
Everyone has a different starting weight (in lbs or kg), so we have to look at the percentage of weight loss so that you can understand how that relates to your starting weight. For instance, if the average weight loss is 15%, someone who weighs 200lbs will lose 30lbs. Someone who weighs 400lbs will lose 60lbs (average).
@@DrMcGowanMD it could be percentage per month for a specific BMI. is it a completely steady progression for the full 68 weeks? that would only be less than 1 percent per month. Rather subtle effect. Is that without caloric restriction? is that 'normal' eating.
Lost 6 lbs my first week
I don't have a doctor is there any way I can get it And how do I get a doctor to for me
I have lost 25lbs in about 5 months on Wegovy.
A 300lb person would lose 42 pounds in 68 weeks. That’s .68lbs a week using a drug that costs you thousands over that 68 weeks.
Most people, like well over 90% of people can lose weight about 1lb a week by altering diet and performing 30 mins of moderate exercise 3x a week.
So unless you have a serious medical issue that you cannot lose weight l, the numbers show that the drug really doesn’t do much.
How do I get it??
Go to a med spa place
😂 sounds pointless to me
That medication is for people with diabetes not wanting to loose weight being that you are a doctor I would think you would know this and it’s drs like you people who actually need it for diabetes can’t get it smh 🙄🤦🏼♀️
Ozempic is for diabetes and it’s sister Wegovy (approved by FDA for weight loss) it’s for whoever BMII is over 30-35 0r 29 + high cholesterol levels can get this but needs approval by their doctor or a health clinic for weight loss. Stop hating on people who are getting this to lose weight because USA food is trash,: causing Chronicle diseases obesity, imbalance hormones..etc.
Wegovy is FDA approved for the treatment of weight, not diabetes. Ozempic is for diabetes. But you are correct that supplies for all of these meds are limited and Ozempic, in particular, should be reserved for those with diabetes.
@@DrMcGowanMD thank you

Anyone know the name of this tune?
Sad that you haven’t mentioned the lean mass reduction in your videos. Wish more doctors who prescribe for a fee would be more open about this and also addressing food addictions.
Like a big, “Ooooops, forgot to mention, in trial there was also a 40% lean mass reduction.” Tell the whole truth. Post the trial(s) and every single one of the graphs (don’t just pick and choose the ones that will sell the injection).
There is more to the story. Tell it all. Tell people how the fat cells multiply and what actually happens when they stop the injections (and have not addressed their food addictions).
Where’s a study showing the fat cells multiply?
Found the personal trainer losing money off this, if you have a smart doctor they tell you this and they tell you to do weight training for this reason

It’s a potential problem and something that we should all be aware of. I have never received a single penny from a pharmaceutical company, as it might bias my views. Not worth it for all the side effects possible. Why don’t they just stop messing with our food and get us all back to organic food without additives and harmful oils and pesticides?
Or just go to the gym regularly, and eat in a caloric deficit. Ohhhh wait, most humans are too lazy to get off the couch so people have created weight loss pills. 💀
lose weight shot injections does it work on people who are not active like eat and sleep never leave the house.
So people change their diet and lifestyle and lose weight and think its this PLACEBO shot doing all the work. 😂. Interesting.
This is precisely why randomized, placebo controlled studies are required. In the STEP1 clinical trial, patients who used the active semaglutide lost 14.9% of their weight. Those who received the placebo injection (and made the same lifestyle changes) only lost 2.4% of their weight. This type of study “proves” the impact of the study medication over placebo.
Body weight? As in bone mass and muscle as well? Lol
