    On Ozempic for two months now, and not one pound of weight loss, my calories a day are extremely lower than before and I just don't enjoy my favorite foods anymore with Ozempic, I don't even want my occasional wine anymore. My diet has always been Mediterranean and NO red meat. I find I just don't want to eat at all. I actually have to force myself to eat and I have been at 1200 cal a day now for the last month. But no weight loss. I am very frustrated and my doctor says it's normal for menopausal women like myself. I am going to continue with it and see if I can get past this plateau. Frustrated!!

Im taking vitamins. Im drinking water. I bought a row machine and walking pad. Im watching my calories. The only thing ive had thats not low calorie this week was apple sauce cause i was constipated. This was my last hope. I hate PCOS. I eat healthier and less than anyone i know. I get made fun of all the time for being vegan. I dont drink soda. I dont drink any with calories except for my morning cup of coffee which has like 100 calories from my dairy free creamer. I have PCOS as well, and I struggled with my weight for many years. The only thing that ended up working for me was eating a ketogenic diet. I lost 212 pounds over the course of three years. And I’ve kept it off by maintaining a low-carb low sugar diet. when you have PCOS unfortunately you have insulin resistance and you have to cut your carbs out. I stopped making excuses and I stopped listening to everyone else tell me what I was doing wrong, and I started listening to my body and taking accountability for what I was putting in my mouth. And I saw the results.

      So if you actually have diabetes and let’s say that prior to ozempic your a1c was greater than 10 or 12. It means that you were most likely dehydrated and peeing out sugar. Now your body is using insulin on its own regulating and therefore it’s is why you haven’t lost weight and perhaps possibly gaining weight. Due to better function of your pancreas.

    I’m type 2 diabetic and 2 weeks ago I was 245.09 lb. I now weigh 238.09 lb or 108kg, tomorrow will be my 3rd week on 0.25mg of Ozempic, I’ve lost 7lb, I was very strict on my 1st week but thought I wouldn’t last with one meal a day so I eat breakfast now. So for breakfast I drink 2 large glasses of water, 2 coffees, I eat (2 eggs), 1 slice of ham, 2 celery stalk, 1 tomato 🍅 and half an avocado and for dinner, my last meal of the day I’ll either have a small piece of salmon cooked in the air fryer for 2min + a green salad + cherry tomatoes or a piece of chicken breast with a green salad + cherry tomatoes and I crunch on few carrot and celery sticks with a little houmous. No snacking in between meals, just drink water or black tea/coffee. No bread, no dairy, no alcoholic drinks just plenty of water… On days I feel hungry I cook a red lentil and sweet potato soup (no bread) to feel fuller but everyone is different, I don’t go to the gym but I have will power to stick to this diet and I remind myself to be disciplined to see my weight go down 😊. In a week my next weekly dose will be 0.5mg for 4 weeks. Cutting carbs and dairy is really making me healthier and happier. If i crave cheese I’ll buy a vegan pack of cheese slices but I eat low carbs like broccoli 🥦 spinach, green beans, sugar snaps and mange-touts vegetables. Good luck to all on semaglutide injections trying to lose weight 😊

Working now in temps of 90+ in South Georgia and the weight just isn’t coming off. This stuff is ungodly expensive. I am consuming so much water…. Water. Not tea or coffee, WATER. What is my problem? About 1/3 of the calories. Over 120 oz (much more) of water… Lifting weights. Walking so much at work… WTF? When I go off of this stuff because of cost at what will be 4 months total, I will gain even more weight… I am so disheartened. I don’t know what to do. Big calorie deficit with more physical labor. I'm not a doctor, but my understanding from some reading is if our gut microbiome if off it can stop us from making our own glp-1. maybe it effects how these meds work for some people too. some probiotics help increase glp-1.

      @kite6864 It is interesting to see where these meds take us in the next few years. And I am excited to see how much more this can potentially help us understand the human body. (The med is showing to also help people quit alcohol and food addiction) But I wouldn't call these types of meds a cure to obesity.
      Once off the meds, people tend to gain the weight back again unless they changed their lifestyle. It's a very useful medicine but unless people want to be on it long term they will still have to put in the work of diet and exercise after the fact.

    "In order for this medication to help you lose weight, you have to be in a calorie deficit."
    WTF!?! A calorie deficit will lead to weight loss, whether the drug is present or not.

    I lost 31 pounds but put on 2 pounds in last 2 days. I barely eat. For that fact after 6 months I suddenly got nausea, vomiting and EXTREME water diarrhea going like 50-60 times a day. I don't get it, guessing I was just meant to be fat. My doctor told me to eat less! There are days I only eat like 300-500 calories. This is to control my diabetes, and it is, but this malnutrition stuff I am not happy with. Pretty sure if you were not anorexic or bulimic before Ozempic you sure will be after taking it.

    @WatkinsMetabolic Clinic, this was great information. I did excessive research before starting on Ozempic 4 weeks ago. My doctor started me at a dosage of .25. l read many articles that said everyone who takes Ozempic does not experience weight loss. I decided to start back on Atkins diet with the Ozempic because l have had excellent results on Atkins losing 120 pounds in a short amount of time on 2 occasions. I only consume 25 grams of carbs per day, drink a gallon of water daily, take a potassium pill and a multivitamin. No dairy, no fruits, no sugar, no starchy vegetables and powder coffee creamer with only Splenda. Today, i'm supposed to take my 4th dose of Ozempic. When l got ready to take it l noticed the stopper in the pen was stuck at the halfway mark. I tried to screw on the needle cap and the needle wouldn't detach from the needle cap. I had an extra needle cap/needle and tried that one. I got the same result so l can't take my injection. I'm waiting for the pharmacy to open to see if Ozempic pens do this when it's time for a refill or if my pen is defective. For the past 3 injections I had no problem at all.

I just hope after I increase my dose, I will start to notice. I just need to take the worrisome out of my mind and let my body do its thing. Right?

      @watkinsmetabolic 3 месяца назад

      Try to worry or put too much pressure on yourself! Sounds like you have already reduced your calories - that is key! Remember, the low doses are not intended for weight loss - just to gradually introduce the medicine and make sure your body tolerates it.
