My daughter works in uk as a nurse for almost a year.. She lives in birmingham. Thanks for the video.. How i wish her son and i could see those beautiful places for ourselves. Amazing😘😘😘.
Hubby and I were born and raised in Brum and left for Canada in 1969. Canadian Immigration was on the 19th floor of the Rotunda building, way back then. His childhood was spent every Saturday, at the bull ring market, buying from the fish stalls. My first Saturday job was at Lewis's on High Street. We just spent a wonderful time down memory lane, thanks to your beautiful filming. We have never seen Brum look so clean and inviting as this. Thank you so much for this and we have now subscribed.
I'm very impressed with Birmingham, I've never been before, I've watched all your tours, we watch them on the tv so can't comment on there. The Christmas Market is great.
I travel down to birmingham from inverness a few times a year nice city .find time to watch there football team too never seen them lose up the blues .kro.birmingham
Thank you for showing Birmingham on your vlog. I live here and haven't really appreciated how beautiful it looks. Brilliant tour, glad the sun was shining for you!
Thank you for this video. I lived in Brum for 15 years and though I am not a city person, Birmingham is a great place to live, it was vibrant then and obviously still is. A lot of that is also down to the Brummies who live there. The people are great they make the city what it still is and always has been.
Greatly enjoyed from over here, the other side of The Pond, especially as I was watching with a long time friend who was born (and lived for a fair few years) in Birmingham. Good work! Thank you!
Great tour around my lovely city. I was disappointed though that you didn't get to Centenary Square where the ice rink, big wheel and City Flier rides are plus the Symphony Hall and Convention Centre!
Birimham have put on amazing Christmas markets. Best one so far. Thank you showing us around Birmingham amazing city. I so enjoy watching your walks. Have you ever walked around Brighton my way.
Dear my friend. Thank you for always sharing great videos. Okay, whenever I see you, I keep the connection. It's a really cool video. It's so nice to see you like this. I watch the video until the end. You're the best! 🤩💖🚶LIKE 767
Great walk through Brum. I moved 15 years ago to Dundee🤨 and it’s not a patch on Birmingham. So much has changed will definitely have to visit in 2022!
@@GimbalWalkTV I'd love you to do vlog if u could in & around Briad streetvi think it is were they normally have the Birmingham Wheel ad I call it etc, etc.👍👍
Great 👍 video brought back lots of memories. Haven’t been there for nearly 3 years now. Every year me and my friend used to go to German market. Eating and drinking on the side of the stalls, chitchat, laughing and messing around was a fun time for us. Thanks for the update and you got a new subscriber now.
Birmingham is not nice in areas and years ago city centre was a dump rubbish everywhere and old building and graffiti drugs and crime all over Birmingham not much has changed.
That is a fantastic showing of Birmingham's and surrounding areas Christmas Market . Makes it very enticing, as although I have been , not for a few years and I only live a few miles from there .
Beautifully filmed Gimbal! I love this Christmas Market! How did I ever miss not going to this festive, decorated market?! Yes, the traditional German stalls, but all decorated in their own unique way. I was quite impressed! So many people there. Was this filmed during the week or weekend? I loved the old buildings especially at the beginning. The way they have included new buildings amongst the old is working! Bless you again, another stunner! :)
wow. thanks for this. i am a brummie. and have seen Birmingham change so much over the years. love the old buildings. and i'm glad they've kept some of them to this day. i am gutted that you never shown the famous bronze bull though in the bull ring! well done. i think your vid is brilliant. keep them coming.
Great video,I love Birmingham,Great place to shop and visit.Good tip,Take a spare pair of comfy shoes for all the walking and stay overnight if you have the chance. Most of the larger shops used to stay open until 9 p.m which was great.
Thank you ,Incredible place, the Colmore building was beautiful. The markets must look amazing at night too. Some of the Christmas stalls must take some dismantling.
Great video mate, thanks for doing that, and what a contrast Birmingham is to Derby, I'm from Burton on Trent, left almost 50 years ago, now living in Tasmania. Thanks again, like your videos. :)
Great video! Just to note the Gusto Restaurant you filmed, well that building is the Grand Hotel that only re-opened last year after being closed nearly 20 years! Birmingham’s only 5 star hotel It first opened in 1879! They have done such a great job you would of loved the interior and the ballroom, pop inside and ask for a tour on your next visit! 😊👍🏻
Cracking video, thank you! If only all Xmas markets were like this. Not been shopping to Birmingham for a few years, amazing how clean and well kept everywhere is😀. Are you planning to do Sheffield at all ? It’s not far from us and wondered if the Xmas Market was any good ? Keep up the excellent work 👍
Amazing... Absolutely stunning architecture, with a nice blend of old and new... I've always been worried about taking my family to Birmingham becuse of its reputation for certain types of crime which is a real shame because it looks like I've been missing out on visiting a beautiful city!
Its sad to say but you should worry. The town is just about ok but the rest of Brum really is a total dump.Thank you labour for pushing your diversity onto people who didnt ask for it.
Frankfurt German Christmas Market had started as a one off event in 1997 and eversince then it bacame an annual event, ive been living in Birmingham for more than two decades now and its really an amazing and lively city next to London
wow fantastic Christmas 🎄 video, luv it . I enjoyed the walk 🚶♂️ and browsing in the market . you walk very fast. put your feet up when you get back home. stay safe.
Birmingham looks great. I only went once when I was very young and got a record signed by Rupert Bear 🤣. The Christmas markets look quite spacious and spread out making them reasonably covid safe. I would love to browse round some of those shops.
Wow! Definitely on my Bucket List! I've just realised something....nowhere to sit for a rest! Carlisle and Blackpool manage it, so should Birmingham and Leeds!!
You should have carried on walking past the fountain to centenary sqaure, the ice rink and Ferris wheel is situated there also the bars and restraunts off broad Street, but hey ho that's another video I suppose
Near the start, you see a bridge crossing a street. Just beyond that bridge are some original tram tracks. The bridge is part of the Museum and Art Gallery, which is home to part of the Staffordshire Hoard. Well worth a look, but the place is currently being renovated.
enjoyed this video mate, thank you. If you go for another walk, maybe catch Brindley Place, the big Raging Bull (surprised you missed the one in the Bull Ring) now in Centenary Square and the Great Western Arcade, Nr Colmore Row is worth a look too - mainly independent traders and some history.
@@nigelmaloney2337 Well if the City Council have left it to fall to bits, I think you need some glasses mate. The City is a modern cosmopolitan City with modern Buildings, if you think that is the City falling to bits you should of seen the City in the Sixties when I was a young boy, it was full of bombed out buildings and rebuilding work, the tallest structures in the City then were the high cranes re modernising the City Centre.
Far smaller market in 2021, it’s doesn’t stretch through Chamberlain Square and no stalls in Centenary Square, and 1/3 of Victoria Square closed due to renovations. You picked a very quiet day for Birmigham, normally brushing shoulders just to get down the street at midday.

What? No flat caps?
The eggs were in the 'English' market. The 'German' market prices looked extortionate.
