The last time I went to Birmingham was for a DWP assessment. Birmingham New Street Station was very stressful when I visited. The Christmas market looks very good though.

What a stunning Birmingham Market loved the ducks made from soap they were different loved all the different food stalls it was nice to see you drink your beer nice to know you get your £3 back of you hand in your glass

Been having a watch through some videos again, before covid there were stalls with crafts, ornaments, candles, jewellery and other things as well as beer etc and food. But last year the first one since it was stopped due to covid was a lot less stalls and missing loads of the non food ones.. but was so glad to see it back. Love the vlog (even not at Xmas haha) showing off good stuff about bham 😁

Wow, the Christmas Market is so big, lots of food and drink vendors. Festive season must have food and drink vendors but have in Toronto Canada very small market and we don't even have much food vendor. I love to watch your video Tim , Merry Christmas to you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for taking me to a German Christmas market - that impression will have to do for this year as our markets are all cancelled due to the big C again 😢 Glühwein (mulled wine) and Bratwurst at home on the patio don‘t replace the ‚market feeling‘ 🤷🏼♀️ Not many stalls selling decorations, knitted items, gifts, wooden figurines, ceramics etc. huh? It is a bit heavy on the old booze sales wasn't it? 3 years ago I was in Poland and went to one of their Christmas markets and it didn't have any sales of booze and very little food. The stalls were mainly selling things to give as presents or decorations. There was a good selection of stalls and about 30 of them in total. And of course the snow was very real. The local restaurants and cafes around the square handled all the food and beverage requirements. Seemed to me a better deal for the locals and for the tourists.
I was on a training course there this time of year probably 15 years ago now - the walk from the office to the hotel meant we had to walk through the German Xmas Market - for some reason me and my colleague Richard couldn't walk past the German pub........well one stein of lager led to another and the idea of a swift one then back to the hotel for a freshen up and dinner ended up a fairly drunken stagger to the hotel before dinner service ended - and the course was a 2 week affair. I think our employers kindly had the middle weekend set aside for us to go home and relax our livers ha ha ha
@@WalkWithMeTim The other issue was there were no loo's - Maccy Dee's even had security on the door to stop folk nipping in and using the facilities lol

I rec'd a notification that there was going to be one early this afternoon, but I couldn't watch it then so have logged on now to watch it on catch up (I used to work in Cambridge) BUT I cannot find one anywhere! :( Was it cancelled 'cos of the weather?

This video appears to have been made during the day, if you visit the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market in the Evenings and on a Saturday you can not move for the amount of people at our Market, there is also an English Christmas Market around St Phillips Cathedral. Coaches and people from all over the Country come to the Birmingham Frankfurt German Christmas Market which is the only authentic German Xmas Market and the biggest outside of Austria and Germany and is actually run by Frankfurt City Council in affiliation with Birmingham City council, so you are comparing attendance a the wrong time of day.
My brother Is at birmingham christmas market today, all christmas markets are miles and miles better than the sheffield christmas market, it is pitiful tim I would quess it takes 4 minutes to go round that market it is so embarrassing
