- Hardest boss I've faced in the Final Fantasy series, a little bit harder than Penance, Omega Weapon and Ozma.
I could defeat it without reverse and decoy and using my standard strategy, the key to defeat this boss without reverse and decoy focuses on his AI, I could be explaining for hours on how this boss behaves but in a nutshell: Don't use gay strategies, because this boss can be gay x999999 if he wants to.

Yes, it is a mess ! However, with standard strategies Omega Mark XII is way harder than Yiazmat... unless we include how mentally worn out you get because of the time it takes, I suppose that counts!

Id say zodiark is harder because you cant save and restock. Plus getting to it without wasting strength is a challenge itself, and theres no save points bfore fighting him.

LOL... i remembered that time i forgot that i use Reflect and my Renew is reflected to Yiazmat hahaha.. *instant reset button* 😂😂😅😅
oh and took me lot of Zodiark+soft and sweet 3/4hr(including rest) 😅
At about 10 Times defeat yizamat, never use renew, just use curaga
I can't believe this came out in 2006 which means i was mid 20's, i thought i was just a kid when this was released for some reason. Feels like a lifetime ago. I remember i didn't have the internet back then and no guidebook so i had to figure everything out without help. Seeing this fight again is daunting as i vaguely remember it being my nemesis back then, i had a burning need to kill it and wasted whole days smashing away, failing, going away and levelling then coming back over and over. I eventually did it but can't remember how, not sure i can face my old nemesis again even with internet help. If his attacks don't get you the fatigue and monotony of chipping away at his health bars will crush your soul. I don't think i can face it again after so many years. Maybe.
Yep, some oldddddd memories. Then i start to remember that i have opened all the treasure and failed the alabard sword, and lost hours trying to take one in mines. I hate this game.
Matteo Villata the alabard sword? Probably the zodiac spear. Yeah all this things are bullshit, yet it’s epic FF, definitely one of the best ones. Love it.
I remember taking this guy down...what en epic fight..it took me a couple of hours or so, but I also remember that I had my Gambits set up so well, that I literally put the joypad down most of the time. Loved that feature (gambits..).
I thought that would never exist an enemy with more HP than Penance,then appear Yiazmat showing me the contrary,Lol, Luv this game.

Just a few days ago I defeated yiazmat and what a moment. I thought I'd never be able to join the club of those before me but I did and what a ride. Awesome stuff.
Non zodiac age FF12 Yazmat is my favorite enemy of all RPGs on earth; great video ;)

You can break the 9999 damage cap in IZJS. It gets a bit easier.

I beat yiazmat yesterday and it was my biggest rpg in my opinion ever, It took me about just over 2 hours yiazmat become super difficult when he doubles level at about 3 million hp but I got it done very happy I am

BaHaMuT LOOOL it's gonna be a headache tho. I haven't played IZJS, so IDK how different it'd be. The class restriction seems disappointing as we cannot equip the best weapons for every character.
I don't know what the hell Square Enix was thinking. A boss that can potentially last up to at least _THREE HOURS?!!_ At least it's optional, but I don't have that kind of patience to deal with something that frustrating.
Not even Final Fantasy XIII had boss fights that lasted me this long.

i mean its 2 hours on max lv, 6 hours for lv 60-70.
I just hate how after Omega Mark XII, this, and the boredom of the fishing side quest, they give you a great weapon and there are almost no challenging fights left for you to use it in.
And if you don't get a reward people also complain

HOLY CRAP!! THIS IS POSSIBLE!? I play FFXII a lot, and have not defeated the Hell Wyrm yet. My main party has permanent Bubble and is Level 63-65, and my backup is also constant Bubble and Level 37-43. Once I get my backup to about Level 60, is it possible to use this strategy for the Hell Wyrm? Also, what do you have equipped? I'd like to know.
+Pikaapplechan You are WAY underlevelled to take on Yiazmat. Try it at about main party 70-80, and backups AT LEAST about 65. This is my recommended bare minimum.

What weapons, armor, and accesories were used?
I never managed to beat him. His death strike were too quick i kept on dying and dying and dying without a chance to hit.
Shell buffing or Shell Shield gives you 50-50 for death from death strike attack
Without them, 100% death
Have you tried the International Version? The 5 Judges would like a word with you.....

+Darkkefka the 5 Judges are no joke man. If you aren't 100% prepared for the fight right when it starts you get wiped out instantly and a lot of the times they'll just sit around spamming Elixirs on each other.... GG!

I fought this boss for hours, returning to the nearest cristal as soon as i ran out of MP 'cause i didn't know how to play this game almost 10 years ago, when i did it. Could you help me? I had more issues with Penance,while this fight last longer.Ofc speaking of penance without using Yojimbo since Yojimbo is basically a legitimated Cheat xD.

Old version of ff12 yizmat fight long and hard . Zodiac age is fairly easy because of the foe breaking character. Yagu darkblade and genji gloves will help.
I killed this boss with saving and coming back method for 3 - 4 times.. Actually this boss is more easier than omega mark 12
Until it activates growing threat and start spamming death strike over and over again that is.

Mmmm Yiazmat is not the hardest boss, sorry, is just take too long to kill it, if it wasn't for all the HP it has, it would be just like hell wyrm. And the time you take to kill it with a standard strategy is almost the same time with the reverse and decoy strategy, so...yeah is not all that hard, it just take time.
+Okami San Nope, you are wrong, Yiazmat is the hardest boss of the game (non IZJS) and unlike Hell Wyrm, Yiazmat has even more devastating attacks, attacks that BTW are progressively more vicious depending on the boss HP level. When it comes to strategies, reverse and decoy is pretty much automatic and easy to apply, aside from that, you take less time. However, the standard strategy is very difficult to plan, to apply and is not the shit that pretty much every FFXII player does
yeah, i know that Yiazmat is the most powerful in FF12 i wasn't talking of the internacional, but i didnt find that wyrm so diffult, leave aside the reverse and decoy strategy, it just take time and have the best equipment, that's all

@@robotron6420 none of the judge battles gave me anywhere near as much trouble as fighting yiazmat
