    a situation involving a choice between two equally desirable but incompatible alternatives. Also called double-approach conflict.
    Example: deciding between two exciting vacation locations,
    2. Approach-avoidance conflicts; occur when there is one goal or event that has both positive and negative effects or characteristics that make the goal appealing and unappealing simultaneously.
    Example: deciding to accept a dream job that pays less
    3. Avoidance-avoidance conflict is when a person has difficulty choosing between two unfavorable options.
    Example: choosing between a lower salary at work or unemployment.
