Well I’m glad you did the video as it shows how using just one or 2 colours in an easy way along with your guidance can still produce paintings that one can be happy with. Anyway I think it’s great Doug. 👍🏻
Thank you for another inspiring video. I immediately went for my abandoned ink cartridges and thoroughly enjoyed painting using this very rich blue on simple sketches.
Love experimenting!ever thought about using ink out of a cartridge got a few knocking about in a draw! Its nice to do something without being too precise and not caring about the outcome so much..I can definitely learn from these techniques, especially love the dry brush for the sea, very effective!!I like how you keep it fun and relaxed..oh,not too sure about poisoning the kids..you would end up in the nick and who’d show us these great tutorials ?!🤭🤣you might even receive some of those hate cards lol! Thanks for sharing Doug ❤
I wasn't going to post this vid as I wasn't happy with it but I'd just run out of content whilst recording new stuff. Doing two vids a week plus work and kids is proving a little hard and I don't want to put out rubbish content. This is one of the reasons I'm considering just posting weekly. Then I can create content I'm confident in. 😁
@@dougjacksonart What? Not going to post it??? This is the best kind of video and just one of the (many) reasons we all adore you and your videos. You give us great inspiration and instruction and, most of all, permission to be imperfect. Also, as I love acquiring art supplies just as much as I love using them, it's good to be reminded that we can make art and have fun with whatever we have on hand. Although I do now feel an urge to go online and buy some Khadi paper...
Hi Doug, with work, kids and life I'm not surprised posting 2 vids a week is hard!! Whilst I love watching what you present, it's most definitely gotta work for you and the family! If it doesn't you'll stop posting altogether which would be really sad for all of us who learn so much from your creativity! Take care Doug, do what feels right, no pressure, makes the art flow more easily too, maybe.. @@dougjacksonart
Oooh, I love ink but it makes me a bit nervous. I spilt a large bottle of black waterproof ink all over a nearly finished piece of art work, all over my skirt, the desk, the floor and a bit on the wall when I tried to clean up. It’s amazing how much is in a bottle.
What is it with artists and lighthouses? I'm from the coast so love a lighthouse, me. A bit landlocked in Cambridge now, me hearty, but I have a very old wooden pepper mill and a sugar bowl that can model if I squint a bit. 🏖 🏴☠️
It's a pleasure to watch you with your carefree way .... keep being you ....
Will do 😁
I really enjoy your authenticity and sense of humour 😊 it's a pleasure to watch your videos
Oh thank you!
I love your videos! If I need to get in the mood to draw all I have to do is watch any one of your videos.
That's lovely to hear Marie

I like the lighthouse best.
And splatting ink all over the table is the one thing I am really good at...
