Excellent content. Please keep up the great work. Unfortunately youtube and other internet vehicles have become a haven for "bad" information. It has without question proven the theory of Dunning-Kruger syndrome imo, and sadly it's a very rampant phenomena. Give the average person any fragment of information (good or bad) and give them a platform and low and behold 90% of them will become self proclaimed experts. To "those" persons... stop and please educate yourselves "through reliable correct resources and experience" regarding the subject matter of your choosing before you begin sharing information as fact and/ or giving advice to others. If you do this you'll discover the more you learn the more questions you'll have yourself, and quite often discover how little you actually know. Doing this should help humble you and make you think before you attempt to advise others. Squawking on about whatever the topic of conversation is at the moment because you "think" you know something and really don't not only keeps a loop of ignorance in motion it also has the potential to be harmful and dangerous. Not to mention it most often just makes look and sound like a horse's ass. Just some food for thought. 😉

Very well said and I agree 100% unfortunately most of the other creators, (notice I don't call them educators) are just entertainment. However information on dangerous reptiles should not be incorrect, made-up "education" for people watching that wouldn't know any better. All of my video content comes from 37 years of experience and research. Also my information comes from hard data, and research preformed by true professionals. Unfortunately I can't always release the sources of all of these ongoing research programs, I'm lucky enough to be part of and privy to. I started this channel to share my knowledge and experience with serious responsible snake keepers. And the thing is, I'd be more than happy to help other creators with the right information on any species that I can, but unfortunately they have no respect, and their arrogance is secondary only to their ignorance. Thanks so much for watching! Stay tuned... @venomcentral. Appreciate the great comment.🐍

@@VenomCentral BTW I was curious if you may have been an acquaintance of Dean Ripa, and if so if you had any of his Bush Masters in your collection? I noticed you were coming to us from the Carolinas and also know Mr. Ripa was out of SC and with both of your love for those "particularly special" species just thought there may be a connection.

    • @VenomCentral
      @VenomCentral  4 года назад +1

Absolutely, Dean was a very close old friend. I was running the serpentarium and continued to try to do so for a year following his murder. He originally brought me to Wilmington NC (cape fear serpentarium) to take over (he wanted to retire from responsibilities, travel but never sell the business or building, his legacy) but like almost everything in Deans world, every agreement was cash and a handshake, so the "estate" and courts had the final say. There was no will, nothing in writing regarding his prior agreements or future wishes that the courts would have had to honor. His legacy- cape fear serpentarium, is gone (at least gutted and sold) and what a shame that his son Arkin won't get to see the amazing space he built or the animals he helped to make famous. Dean Ripa will always be in our hearts and he will never be forgotten.

    • @charlesbr7684
      @charlesbr7684 4 года назад

@@VenomCentral That's amazing. I thought there was a likely connection. I never had the opportunity to get to Cape Fear but always had it on my to do list. Like I'm sure everyone was I was shocked to hear what happened to him. At least his wonderful Bush Masters get their genetics passed on. Please keep up your great work sir. You are among the very best I have seen on youtube and I've seen about all of them. Those snakes are all shear beauties!!!!

I live in Sweden. Here's a big difference in the laws too keep venomous snakes. It's a world of rules and regulations for it.
We don't have snakes like that in our natural fauna. Vipera Berus, also known as Swedish dagger is our only snake you can call venomous.
I think we like it to be that way, so the chance to have the same species you got in private is very small for a reason.
I don't agree completely by that way on seeing it. Kept safe there should be no problem. But that's just the way things are for now anyway.
I really like your channel by the way. There are just a few once I learn from. I also like viper keeper, a bit "one of a kind".
Thanks for all the work you do! Keep it up and stay safe. Best of luck to you.

(❌wrong) You are an expert at what you do with your snakes you study them piece by piece just to find what do if A snake is not eating at all.
Like that Mountain Lion Cobra that you had you told us it wasn't eating at all so finely you thought maybe instead of rats and mice I'll give it fish and toads and then it started eating.
Also as in an expert you know how and know how to make sure the temperature is right for the snakes at all times,
You have A temperature gauge inside the tank so that you know what the temperature at night and day.

      Ok....I will check it out.
Please dont get me wrong,Ive been keeping and breeding for 45 years but only nonvenoms.
Im not out to ruin anyones fun,but these are dangerous animals and these kids (Chandlers friend in particular) dont understand that even if you get antivenin right away,it doesnt mean a person wont have after effects later on in life like circulation, heart, pulmonary problems.
If we herps dont police our hobby or crack down with preventive maintenance before a disaster happens, the local, state, and federal authorities will.
      Then,everyone loses.
I was here when the feds cracked down on illegal importing of endangered species many years ago.
Everyone who kept turtles, snakes, lizards were shaking in their boots.
At the worst, and Im sure you are well aware......as far as we know, only one cobra escaped.
There could be one or more that are still in the building.
Who knows if another pops out only IN someones apt?

I have been preaching this stuff in my videos for a while now watch my video on free handling. I say it over and over again in a lot of my videos. SAFETY PROTOCOL , ANTIVENINS. I am trying to show the public that there are real and serious keepers out there that do the right thing. Not all of us are these stupid kids claiming to be professionals. And that's Florida's bullshit giving them permits to do that stupid shit. I believe if they get caught doing something like free handling or other irresponsible things with animals they should loose there permits. It drives me crazy.

Willie,I have a question for you and a statement Id like you to comment on.
First, what is your take on Chandlers, his friend (who got tagged by Tom Crutchfields King Cobra)and Davids (Feed) free handling Bushmasters?
For that matter, free handling ANY hot snake?
Next I do not feel ANY person, let alone 18-21 year old kids, should be permitted to keep hot snakes in apartment complexes, condos,or townhouses for any reason.
If they live in a house,fine......thats their decision as long as the parents understand the deadly risks to everyone in the household in case of an escape.
Here in eastern Pennsylvania last July,a 74 year old grandmother found a cobra outside her apartment yard.
She recognized the cobra immediately as it hooded her.She killed it with a shovel. Can you blieve that?
A 74year old woman killing a cobra!!!!This guy was at least 4ft long and had girth on him. Turns out,a 21 year old guy living in her complex was keeping venomous snakes in his apartment to eventually sell to others had the police and wildlife control raid his apartment.
They seized his snakes and in our local paper, the police chief said his fish tanks were not secured sufficiently.
It was not told if his landlord knew prior that this kid was keeping hot snakes.
    I doubt it.
By the way, this apt complex is 10 minutes from my office and right across the street from a pizza joint I go to with 2 friends every week.
So, what is your take on my view?
