    I’m in awe of how eloquently you speak, your videos are a pleasure to watch and listen to! I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with so much anxiety, it’s a horrible feeling. However, can I just say that the phrase “Anxiety Day 2: ‘this f*cking sucks’ boogaloo” is EXCELLENT, it’s been on repeat in my head since watching!

    Love the spreads & your lovely decorations, but it’s kinda scary how alike our lives are… migraines, autism and the end of your September is like my end of august. So glad to have found your channel, nice to know I’m not alone.

    Your journal is beautiful. Thanks for showing what your journal looked like on that days you weren’t feeling well. It’s nice to see an example of journal reflecting the real life of the owner. The self-imposed pressure to make a “perfect” journal is real (for me), but letting go of that this year has really helped me.

    • @ellesbooks

      Thank you so much Melissa!! 🥰 I totally agree - for me, expecting my journal to be perfect takes a lot of the joy out of it!

    As an archivist it is my duty to come on everyone's journaling videos who uses a frixion pen to remind you guys that the ink will most likely disappear in five years max so don't use them if you want to keep and reference those journals for a long time

    • @ellesbooks
      @ellesbooks  Год назад

      I've heard conflicting things on this. I've heard the ink does disappear in hot climates; but that it's recoverable if you put the book in the freezer (lol). And that in colder climates, it's not really a problem. But then other people say it disappears regardless. So I never know what to think!

      @mlleariane6667 Год назад +2

      @@ellesbooks Answering as a professional archivist do not count on it. It really can be 50/50 in the next ten years but it will for sure never be something you will be able to show future generations for example. Unless you can predict for sure that you will be able to maintain perfect humidity and temperature stability in your storage space I would recommend thinking of another pen if you want to be sure you can keep everything. I said the same thing to Megan Rhiannon who said she doesn't really mind because she doesn't really see herself going back to her book in ten years, so it really depends on the intended use but yeah

    • @ellesbooks
      @ellesbooks  Год назад

      @@mlleariane6667 thank you so much for the clarification, this is extremely helpful! To be honest, I tend to use fountain pen for all of my more "important" entries anyway, so I'm not too concerned. But once my stock of Frixion pens runs out (and they don't last that long tbh), I'll likely find a replacement. (The struggle is finding a good gel pen that doesn't bleed through the Tomoe River paper!)

    Just found your channel (popped up in my YT feed) and really enjoying it! It's that time of year when I'm trying to decide on my planner & journal setup for next year, and my INTP brain needs to take in lots of information before it can make a decision. I've spent far too much at Miso Paper and other UK stationery shops lately, so I need ways to use up my supplies 😂

    The video was really good and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. Where you talk about and struggle with are very relatable to me and in combination with writing/commonplacing/journalling is just the best. It makes me feel I’m not the only one struggling as well, because that’s something I can certainly feel from time to time. You gave me inspiration for alternatives to fill up daily pages and I might be brave enough to start a cousin next year. Thank you 🫶

Had one that lasted multiple days for the first time ever a few years later. Nothing since then. It's so confusing. I hope this sudden stop happens for more people and that we can do more to treat them in the future ♥️

    Hi Ellie! I absolutely love your videos and as a person who is very new to discovering they may be on the spectrum I have a found a lot of comfort just hearing you share about your life through your journals. I love that engaging in a specific interest is self care. I have never thought about it that way. 🙂 I hope you’ve been enjoying the spooky month so far.
    P.S. I find it totally fascinating that you have bats that visit you. I haven’t seen one in Hawai‘i, I’m actually not sure if we have any. 🦇
