Thank you for such a great flip thru. You are so humble. Your journal looks amazing to me, and I appreciate showing empty pages. I think the journal community is so intimidating. Everyone looks like a professional artist it's depressing for some of us who love the craft but aren't artists.
Thank you so much for watching! I agree, sometimes I look at my friends' journals and im like "wow... I cannot do that!!" but when it comes down to it, it's pen and paper, letters and words. However you wish to journal I hope you find something that makes you happy to keep recording!!
I'm so grateful to have found your channel. You have a natural talent. Please continue the exceptional work. Thank you for sharing your skills with us.
something that really helps me keep my motivation up is to have a different form of journaling to match all my energy levels plus places where memories/clues could fall through so I could piece together days if I fall too far behind. For the first one, a high energy day would be a full on theme with printed photos/stickers/washi. And medium would be just some stickers sporadically placed. And then low energy would be just some bullet points. For blank spaces I reserve them for days where I have too many photos or some kind of big packaging that I want to stick in and then I will just write a little blurb in a bubble next to it with the right date.
I'm in awe of people who can do blank pages! I just can't bring myself to it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I won't leave some pages to be just collages
I have been trying to get into the groove of journaling for the past 2 years now and it's very hard to be consistent. I actually thought getting a Hobonichi would help out but seeing blank pages in yours shows it takes more than a good journal to keep up. I think pages with mostly stickers are still cute and count towards journal entries, even your OC pages. I really enjoyed this video and loved all the different styles and stickers you used.
your journal is BEAUTIFUL! if I were as talented an artist as you, I'd hate to put my comics in a journal that got put away! well , in any case, thanks for sharing and I hope you dont put too much pressure on yourself to make things bigger and better all the time, as this was lovely as-is!
thank you for sharing such a lovely flip through!! i love your commentary as well~ i find it inspiring and i have been thinking of getting a hobonichi :D your drawings are beautiful!
Hello! I've followed you for a while on Twitter and love your spreads and art! I was so excited when RUclips recommended your channel and I realized it was you! These pages are all so cute!
Writing in your journal every day it's really really hard! I don't think you have that many blank pages, your journal has a lot of heart and a lot of you and the doodles are awesome! I use a blank notebook and I only write things I want to remember or the places I visited, just the highlights, so I don't put too much pressure on me and I can enjoy it.
I also fell off in April, you stuff to it better than I did. I’m ok with blank pages. At the end of the day sometimes I’m too tired or too busy. That’s life 💛
The little room stickers on February 2nd and 3rd (around the 3:11 mark) - may I ask where those came from?? This is a beautiful journal, I love the little drawings!! Lots of inspiration for next year :)
I know it's late, but I think your journal is beautiful. It feels really human and inspiring, in a way that a perfectly filled curated book wouldn't. Could I ask what kind of pen you use?
thank you so much for watching and the sweet comment! I use mostly fountain pens in these journals. The main one would be TWSBI ECO! Blue ink is mostly used, the specific one is Sailor SEIBOKU which is archival!
