Thank you for the update and for keeping it real, and for emphasizing the importance of NOT dumping animals. The trauma and animals endure when they are abandoned can't be stated enough. You're both awesome!

I think her story blew up because there are so few snake rescue stories out there. Breeders may think normal ball pythons are worthless, but for most of us pet keepers, they're our first snake. I have two normies and I wouldn't trade them for the fanciest scaleless ball python. Ticktok was just so sweet from the very beginning, too.
It's bad to see a dumped pet, but it's wonderful to see a happy outcome to a dumped pet's story.

This right here. Anyone that has dealt with ball pythons forms a soft spot for them. I’ve never owned one but worked with them 7+ years and had roommates that kept them. I’ve shown them to people with intense fear of snakes and it helped ease it, even just a little, seeing that it wasn’t 1) slimy (where do folks get that?) or 2) actively trying to harm them.

Awww! Thanks or the update. When we happened upon the TickTock rescue videos 2 years ago, I was terrified of snakes: believing they were lurking around every corner waiting to strike. After watching all the TickTock vids, I found Snake Discovery and watched all of theirs. I now LOVE snakes, have spent HOURS AND HOURS watching reptiles videos, have been to multiple reptile expos, and own 5 snakes, one of which is a normal ball python. This has really opened the door to something I needed in my life (I am 45 years old) that I never would have found on my own. Thank you!

Awww that's sweet. I have always liked snakes. They were the first wild animal I could pick up without getting bit. Lol 😂 Even though I did end up being bit by a few but it didn't hurt.
I didn't own a pet snake because I thought they all had to eat live mice and I wasn't okay with that. Snake Discovery helped me to learn about frozen thawed and most importantly how freaking cute hognose snakes are. Lol 😂
Now I have 10 snakies! 7 of them hognose!

She's gorgeous!! I've ALWAYS loved Ball Pythons!! I even owned 2 at one point. They're so nicely tempered. Pretty easy to handle and feed. You barely have to try with a Ball, as long as you have all the requirements they need (heat source, water, food {of course},an unheated area, etc etc). They're a delight. And they're not that expensive. Good, easy snake for the beginner herp enthusiast. Like me! ☺️

Rescued my normal ball python over a year ago so I love Tiktoks story! My girl Peanut was found abandoned in a hotel room by the housekeeping staff. A family member who worked at the hotel reached out to me to take her in and she has been with me ever since! My brother had a Ball Python named Spot. It was a beautiful snake I was a little cautious about meeting for the first time, but in a very short time, I fell in love with it. My brother would let it crawl around on his screened in front porch, and the snake would crawl up your leg to check you out. Mostly it loved to crawl up to the window sill and sleep. I was really surprised at how quilckly I took to it. It was very mild mannered and never showed any aggression.

It's great that her stuck eye caps shed off with no issues. It's nice to hear more details about her story and I'm so glad she was lucky enough to have you pick her up. Given how big her story became, I wonder if the person who abandoned her ever saw what happened to her.
Thank you also for spreading awareness about not abandoning animals, allowing Ticktok to show people what sweet and docile animals ball pythons are, and making it clear that even if you save an undomesticated animal, it can still harm you. Appreciate your work and keep doing what you do!
