Hello and welcome to BOAB models for the full build of the Jaguar XJR-9 Daytona 24 hours winner in 1/43 by Heller. This version of the car is based on the one which finished 1st at Daytona in 1988 driven by Martin Brundle, Raul Boesel and John Nielsen. I have added aftermarket Castrol decals to change the look of the car.
The kit itself is quite simple which is unsurprising considering the scale. However, I'm pretty happy with the additional details I've added. Thanks a lot for watching and please subscribe and hit the bell icon!
Additional footage of the cars and exhibits from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK.

I love this one! The XJR-9 is such an iconic car and it looks really great with the modifications you made. Usually custom 1/43 decals have been made by scaling down ones designed for larger models I think, which is why you get some size discrepancies.
Thanks very much. I agree regarding the scale - generally these kits are a bit imprecise due to the time they were being made. I'm sure with computer scanning, modern 1/43 kits would be more accurate.
Excellent work on such a small scale, well done
Thanks, Sarah Jane. I'm building a lot of these smaller scales lately
@@BOABModels I think I know what you’re up to, you’re building a miniature museum :) the skill and modifications you do are really nice, model on
Lovely build of a great looking car!
Thanks so much, Stu. Really appreciate it
Excellent work, precision work.
Thank you!
Brilliant as usual Thomas! Love watching you tackle these 1/43 kits. Wish they were more common here across the pond, curious to try one.
Thanks a lot! Airfix and Heller still make some 1/43 stuff and I recommend talking to @thescalemodelcarguychannel8681 as he's US based but has made a few smaller scale kits.
Very nice, like the skirted rear wheels,
Thanks very much! Jaguar found success with them but very few other Group C teams at the time tried them for some reason.
Great eye for details on such a small model.
Congrats with the result Thomas.
Thanks very much, Chris!
Great work! I love this car.
Thanks very much!
Excellent Content!

Much appreciated
