- The Angel of Death is a concept found in various religious and mythological traditions. It is often depicted as a supernatural being responsible for carrying souls from the earthly realm to the afterlife or the realm of the dead. In some traditions, the Angel of Death is portrayed as a benevolent guide who assists souls in their transition, while in others, it is seen as a more ominous figure associated with fear and judgment. The exact characteristics and interpretations of the Angel of Death vary across different cultures and belief systems.
‘Doctor Giovanni had to tell Jessica’s parents this, along with the news that their daughter had only twenty-four hours left to live…’
Today’s phenomenal tale of terror is ‘The Day Humanity Raced to Defeat Death’, an epic work by Taxi Dancer, kindly shared directly with me via my sub-reddit and narrated here for you all with the author’s express permission.

Wow. I had planned to relisten to an old favorite while I finished up my before-bed things and then drifted off to sleep, but that did not happen. This story grabbed me and would not let go. The originality of the story itself, put together with the Doc's riveting narration (I swear, your pacing and inflection get better every time, Doc, and the way you do the voices just makes me feel like I'm right there.) made it impossible for me to do anything else but listen. I feel like I spent the day at an amusement park. What an excellent and unexpectedly thrilling tale! Thank you so much🖤🖤🖤
What was the familiar fav?

The best part of this story is that it really happened, though some details have been changed.
The pilot's name was actually Jurgen Gundling. This truly was an epic struggle of humanity against nature.
I wouldn't call this horror, but it was thoroughly suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Great job, everyone!
Have you ever tried climbing the ladder into the cockpit of an F104 Starfighter to fly it straight into a blizzard? OMG! 🤕😒🤕🤕🤕You had a 25% chance of crashing a Starfighter flying it on a clear sunny day! And the F104 was the most deployed NATO fighter defending freedom and democracy back in the 1960s and 1970s. The horror! Thank you for the very kind comment and Cheers! T_D
I've read the title, and the description, And all I can think is
"Oh, Angel of darkness, who asked you to descend, I thought I would see myself just once before the end"
A little Jackson Brown line I love
The writers that you hook up with and your voice makes every story absolutely phenomenal.
I'm starting to think that writers are writing stories with his voice in mind. I know that while I've been working on my own story, I've been wondering if the good doctor would read it.
Taxi Dancer is as good as they come.
@Damien go for it. Send him your story.
It can't hurt. Good luck if you do.
@@DamienBlade I'd like to hear it, too. Reach out to the Doc and see if he'd be willing to take a look at it. You never know. 🤷🏻
This sounds interesting! I'm in for the ride.. let's go doc!
Well, taxi dancer, you have outdone yourself! All throughout this phenomenal work I couldn’t stop thinking about how many different people were connected by the series of events. And how they all agreed without hesitation, and were willing to do so very much for this 4 year old child, all the while with zero certainty of success that their extraordinary efforts would bring.
To coordinate so many enormous branches of government, military, and medicine, together across multiple lines of country and danger, is an amazing feat. And even if they had made it, there with hours to spare, no promise was given that the treatment would even work. Yet they persisted. It would be comforting to know that we could come together at such a time, but even if a thousand souls were to be lost, what took place here would not happen in today’s world. A sad truth indeed, But it’s also what makes this particular story so special. I was completely incapable of missing a single word, and was stuck to the sound of Dr Creepens voice and anxiously (gratefully so) awaiting his next breath. Also, I have to praise him for his consistent ability to bring his amazing talent to each and every carefully chosen tale. So I thank you both for allowing me this opportunity, and as much as I may hope to hear another with as much of an effect as it had on me, I’ll have to settle that it’s not meant to be. For if every one was this great, where would the point of reference be? Wonderfully executed!! Bravo!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is a true story. It really happened.
Hello Our Friend the great Doctor I so needed to hear your beautiful voice thank you kind Sir❤
I think this might be one of my favorite stories I have ever heard you narrate. I don't tend to leave comments but this one deserves a comment. Your performance was amazing, and the story gave all of the feelings. Thank you for this wonderful new favorites.
I am absolutely floored. I usually listen to go to sleep. For this one, I couldn't leave the edge of my seat. This was absolutely beautiful 🥲. Thank you yet again, good Doctor!
Awe no fair, this story made me cry... so well written and narrated. Really pulled at the heart strings; hook, line and sinker.
Dr. Creepen 💕, thank-you 😊
Gorgeously written, and voiced by perfection. Enjoyed every syllable - what an emotional ride!
Excitingly suspense and overwhelming! Sang for joy that all these amazing men took their roles and duties very serious and valued lito Jessica life, all well putting their lives esp the pilot, on line! Loved the ending!
Your channel is amazing. One night you tell a story that turns my stomach and makes me hate the evil inside of us all when we do such selfish and hateful things to one another. Then the very next story reminds me of how selfless, Loving, willing to put ourselves at risk, and even give our own lives for the sake of a stranger we may never even meet. Thank for the roller-coaster of awesomeness that is you and you channel.
Awesome story. Perfect balance of suspense, intrigue, dread and hope.
Oh Doc❤ Fill me up with your soothing horror. I live for you😍
I loved this story! Thanks, Dr and Taxi!
I love it so when mankind steps up , shows up and kicks ass!!❤️. Great story!!
Man, that one was intense. Doc, you always know how to turn up the heat with your music. Excellent narration.
Another banger from the one and only Taxi Dancer 👌
Good evening Doctor, and good evening all! This one is awesome, and actually based on a true story! Taxi-Dancer really has got the characteristics of the F104 Starfighter accurate! The Luftwaffe Ordered a total of 916 of them, and lost 292 of them in NON-combat related accidents! The Starfighter was basically an incredibly powerful jet engine, fitted with tiny wings (So sharp that they had to have guards fitted when on the ground, so that they didn't decapitate any ground crew that walked into them!) The Starfighter was horribly difficult to fly, and the pilot Jürgen Gundling did an amazing job of delivering the medication to the girl (Jessica) in Sardinia. As always, brilliantly narrated, thank You! Hope everyone has a great weekend....It's almost here!
To be completely honest, I really didn't plan to write this story. I saw a video about the incident, but I thought it too farfetched, and too feel-good, that I was convinced that it had to be fake. Plus, I couldn't find any other corroborating stories anywhere on the internet. In passing, I asked an old friend of mine who served in the Bundeswehr as an air defender back when I was stationed there as a 16R Vulcan gunner who confirmed that the event actually took place. Ironically, it was in the comments section of this story that I finally found the name of the pilot. Cheers! T_D
I love the comparison of the Starfighter to a supermodel, perfect! 😂 22:56 ok, I don’t know much of anything about flying. But, I absolutely do know that cold air is far denser than warm/hot air. So I don’t know if that is quite the same as what he meant when he said it was less dense, but I can say it’s absolutely as dense as you’d ever find in a blizzard. (Just a Bill Nye insertion)
Thanks Dr Creepen. Having a rough time of it at the mo and this was just the tonic I didn't realise I needed😊
It's been a while since I've listened to stories but tonight felt appropriate to stop on by and get my dose from doc. I tried listening with just one headphone but it feels like a crime! Great to see you're still uploading these days thank you Dr 😊
That was intense. I was on the edge of my seat for this one.
As always, AMAZING STORY !!!!!
Ooo, this one is staying in the memory vault for multiple check outs. Great work on both ends here!
Cheers!
I think i totally misheard the end of this one - thought the nurse said she _stopped_ breathing and then they're like "death didn't visit her this time". I'm dumb 😂 Good story!
Indomitable wil lof humanity W 💪
You Good Dr are the Best. I've been overlooking about 15 acres for the past two hours. An probably have about as many left to wait. Thanks for passing the time with that smooth story telling voice of yours.
Didn't think this would be my thing, but I liked it. This was really good!
Death- "It's a living!"
[canned laughter]
Hope everyone is having a creepalious night!🤗💜🕷

One of the best stories you have told so far, and the best one I have heard in awhile. Keep up the Amazing work. I always look forward to your stories.
That was fabulous. It had the feel of an 80s action movie…like Firefox from 1982 with Clint Eastwood. It was also deeply touching…nice simple ending. Excellent work to narrator and author.
Great story and as always super narration Doc. Your awesome voice talent is so welcoming after a long day at the office. Thanks for sharing.

It was based on a true story that occurred in January, 1982

Good Evening, my good doctor.
Ok guys, I’m thinking that miracle medicine could have been insulin…what do you guys think?
Great story & narration ~
Thanks team!
To be honest, before I wrote this scary spaghetti tale, I wondered what the medication could be since my source material did not specifically indicate what the treatment was. I did a ton of research and concluded that insulin was on my short list of possible treatments since, after this event, insulin became widely used as the treatment for childhood ailments. Cheers! T_D
Insulin first became available in 1923, several decades before the Starfighter jet became a reality. So the miracle new drug had to be something else. 😃
@@gerf1023 I was thinking on the “this usually only affects adults.”
@@foxrecon19d Thanks for that!
It does make sense.
You had me hanging on every word. I really liked it. Thank you!
Another great story narrated beautifully by you, Dr Creepen.
TaxiDriver has such a good writing style.
Thanks!
Very kind of you!
That was an intense fucking story oh my god amazing job narrating as always an amazing job choosing this story I don't even care that it's not really a creepy pasta or a horror story that was amazing
Excellent story and expertly performed narration. I only wish this was based on a true story. If it were, it would be one of the most epic series of events that humanity ever participated in.
The tale IS based on a supposedly true story, though I only found one source for the event actually taking place. I was intrigued by the tale and I contacted a long time friend who served as a Bundeswehr air defender back when I was ADA stationed in Germany. To my surprise, he did confirm that there is a legend that the German Air Force once flew lifesaving medication to a patient in Sardinia using an F104 during a blizzard.
This one had been 'sitting on the shelf' for quite a while; I'm glad I finally read it.
Yep it actually is based on a true story. Some of the details have been changed though.
The pilots name was Lieutenant Jurgen Gundling. I wish youtube would let me post links but if you google his name you should find it. Most of the articles are in German though.
Great story!
I’m wondering is this based off a true story?
#1.1k-✅👍
A beautiful work of fiction, portrayed by a fabulous and
Dearest Doctor !
This is not horror or science fiction....this is reality.....this is a scenario that can and actually has taken place. 💯
That made me tear up a little.
That was a nail biter. Have a lovely day, Doc
Fun story!
😭😭😭💓💓💓💓 that was beautiful
Bittersweet.
