I saw you on I40 heading towards Little Rock yesterday. I said wow, Supertrucker Dan. Nice truck. Look like you had some generators on
How COOL was that ? I’m Always Looking Around for Truckers I Watch since Dan, JBG Travels (John) and Long Haul (Larry) used to come through St. Louis. 👍🙏
The new camera location is awesome Dan, we all have a birds eye view of everything!
Safe travels Dan!!!🇺🇸✌️😏
Hi Dan enjoyed the video. Like the view from behind you enjoyed the shifting. Enjoy the well-deserved home time with Teresa. Be safe
Bailey is happy to be back to work! Have a safe trip.
Bailey is so attentive. I think she could drive in a pinch!
I like that in-cab view while you're driving...it's almost like being in the truck.
You and Bailey stay safe out there. 🙂🐕
pipes and the turbo...awesome!
Thanks for the in-cab views!!
And thanks for the ride along.
Looks like Bailey wanted to do some gearship. God-bless and safe travels
Thank you for another great video. City's use to try to time traffic lights on some of the heavily traveled streets. I still miss the sounds and smell of the diesel equipment i operated years ago. Your semi is really setup right for living and working on the road. I get a big kick out of Bailey she's on top of everything. I can't wait to see you working with the new step deck trailer that's going to be interesting. Have a most wonderful day.
Hi Dan from on old professional to another I salute you my old trucks had all types of gearboxes in them and I always said I would never change to a auto box changed jobs and drove a Volvo 560 hp with a i shift gear box wow that opened my eyes never looked back no knee pain etc and the pressure off what gear for the road conditions made it so much better but with the good came the bad auto boxes in some conditions are crap but much better than all that shifting gears I am 71 yrs old now but I would have given my right arm to drive that vehicle you own now god bless you sir I have followed you from your early videos and look forward to seeing the next one best wishes Reggie an old worn out trucker who still lives the dream
Easy Pedal clutches are AWESOME!!!!!! Nutting Better than having a manual transmission!!!!!!!! 👍🏾🙌🏾🫡🫱🏻🫲🏾
Hey Reggie, I too am an old retired driver. Freight hauler for 13 years (union, thank goodness) and then an O/O
pulling flatbeds for 17 years. I bought a new Freightliner at the MATS show in 1986 and I asked them if they
would get rid of the thirteen speed and put in a ten speed. In order not to charge me, they dropped in a seven
speed. No splitting gears, just keep shifting. That only took about a week to get used to it and I loved it!!
Yes, I am retired, living in the hills of Tennessee but still watching a few drivers on youtube. I miss seeing the
sunrises from the windshield as well as the sunsets. So now I collect my little monthly Teamster pittance and
my SS. Take care, stay safe. Dan's truck sure sounds nice. I am, retired old Ron.
I want to be a super trucker when I grow up!
I am fascinated by your shifting how many gears does the truck have and what exactly does it take to shift through the different gears? It might sound stupid, but I would imagine there is a clutch and what is double clutching.
Great video Dan, Bailey really enjoys that copilot’s seat. See you in Louisville next month. ✌️
Yeah I like the back view, not everyone knows the shifting. Looks like you have 13 speed
Dan, I remember idle air. I guess that didn’t turn out to be the best thing since last bread. Awesome video, glad you’re getting to swing by the house👍👍👍
That kitty sounds awesome.
You guys have a blessed week and have a great day just tell Bailey said hi
Really enjoy that camera angle......safe travels Dan.
Hey Dan. B SAFE out there. 🇺🇸
🚛💨💨💨💨
Dan you need to something in that shotgun seat so bailey can lay down and stretch out sweet girl bailey 😊
Another good one Dan KEEP ON TRUCKIN 🚛 🇺🇲 👍
I see Bailey (transport manager) was supervising your parking up!!! 🤔🇺🇦👍🇺🇦👍🏴💙💙💙
HEY DAN BEAUTIFUL RIDE TO DAY ! GOSH BAILEY IS GETTING SO BIG 🐾🐾🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾BE BLESSED BE SAFE !! TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR SELF ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
no tarp Dan ? why?
must be dream get easy straight even square load like these ac units.. so easy to strapdown tiedown. nice nice vid so great!
Looks quite freaky driving in traffic on the wrong side of the road and how that works. Sometimes it looks like you go on a red light
Am loving that new camera view Dan ... it is like we are right there! =)
Hi Dan-
The "back of cab" dash view is pretty awesome because we get to see Bailey proudly gloating while she's accomplishing her co-piloting duties.
Does want you to know? I love the gear changing. Thank you, take care, be careful, God bless by.
Bailey looks like the Best Co-Pilot Ever. What a Buddy. We Love ❤ our Pups. Glad to hear you will be returning H9me even it for jus5 2 days. Thanks Dan!👍🙏
You should get home dan to enjoy this awesome weather we are having down here!! Another great video dan!! Take care
There's different types of pets. Farming dogs for the sheeps and others. City pets for the children and home protection. 🚓 🐕🦺. And like Opie 🐕🦺. Bailey and others you have 🚛 pets. Their highway animals that see the world and different sniffs. Bailey seems like she enjoys seeing different places. Like Opie. Safe Travels you 2 🇺🇲. 🚛💨💨💨💨
That camera angle inside the cabin is the best, Dan! You could have this angle in every video!
Hugs for you and for Bailey, from Brazil!
Down shift was always my issue
It was so nice to have my dog with me ,then she got old and we had to put her down it was like loosing a child so i never wanted to do that again. I have been doing step deck for about a year and love it.
I think there was an old Modern Marvels episode that had something like Idle Air, as I recall it also had a wired TV and/or Internet connection(?)
I’ll take a manual transmission over a automatic every day of the week. I don’t care how many traffic lights there are.😊
Love the sound of the turbo!
Weird this showed up on my feed, I live in clarksville. You must have picked up at trane? You went by my area in Cumberland city on 149. Safe travels 🙏🏻
every intersection can be a little tense and relief after getting thru it, lol
So glad you're not going the route of FSC Trucking. Steve has become unwatchable.
Nice rig dan, BTW I'm also a passionate trucker and enjoy your channel but I'm curious to hear some back story as in how and why u became a trucker, how long u been trucking and if u had it to do all over again would u still be a trucker?
Those are just some of the Qs i have and all the other general stuff in trucking.
I'm a big fan and I love my job I wouldn't do anything else I'm irish 33 yrs old and truck all over 🇮🇪 and Europe.
KEEP ON TRUCKIN DAN U #KINGOFTHEROAD 💪
Ole Bailey is getting as famous as Opie! That pup is loving life with dad on the road! Great video Dan! Stay safe out there.
Driving Miss Bailey . You tickle them gears very well Dan. Safe travels.
Like the camera angle showing you driving.
Our 13 speed was a good deal more simple, 4 over 4 with o/drive. Then they gave me a truck with those 13 on the column!! Had to keep your wits about you. lol
just in case you were curious. im still independent, still driving and making videos. i have a question. have you ever hogtied a coil before? it scared me. i never heard of that or have seen that. if you have it would be nice if you could talk me through it or make a video of it.
Love the camera view showing your perspective of what you see from inside the cab.👍
I was thinking of the song “ six days on the road”.🙏stay safe out there 😊
You passed the Krispy Kream donuts in Clarksville and didn’t stop. Tennessee state law requires you stop
Hey about making a guest appearance at some of the truck driving schools and telling the true story of trucking
Good video Dan, we see what you see. Love watching your copilot, he is right there with you. Safe travels.
So how does the emissions work if you don’t have a truck with emissions you don’t have to worry about it I’m talking about def
Looking good Dan,
I was wondering how old was Bailey when you first started putting her in the truck , Because she sure sets back and listens to you 😁🕶
be safe take care yourselve Dan
I wonder what the dog thinks. About driving all over the place?
Bailey looks ready to help with the shifting. Nice view from cab.safe trip
hello DAN you are driving where i used to live. .brings back memories. i kinda want to move back there. it was nice and quiet living there.
That is what I do Pick my spot at the far end of the lot Most lazy drivers all bunch up close to the building 😊
Like the older camera view better. Like the unobstructed view over the hood.
The entrance into the Pilot was nice a bumpy.
you know some cameras like on Tesla are outside, so have you thought about putting some of your cameras on that outside? but that in cab view is out of sight. Good job telling the story of a truck driver good job somebody needs to tell it the right way.
I remember idle air. I also remember park in view that was still around when I started driving.
Is that the Clarksville that the Monkeys took the last train to? Another great video, thanks Dan. Get home safely.
Thanks for the ride along through that beautiful Tennessee countryside! Give that Bailey a scratch behind the ears for me.
I have a question for you .Is Dorsey going to let you use the step deck that they made or is it one like you have your trailer set up as . The spread avle and the lift axle and the scale system on it and your tool boxes . Just wondering
Great cab views.😮😮
Really enjoy the new camera angle, thanks for sharing.
Gr8 ridealong vid & SUPER SUCCESSFUL TRUCKIN!!!!! Ms Teresa will DEFINITELY glad 2 see U Mr Dan & Bailey the doggie!!!!!😎🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🫱🏻🫲🏾🫡💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰🇺🇸📽📹🎥👍🏾🙌🏾
his dog is always up there, watching his driving. lol
Hey hey that’s a good look showing you shifting what it takes to shift at 13 speed Yeah that’s a real good look you got going on there.
If you go with that step deck trailer won't that limit what you can haul
Depends on how long it is., and he can haul heavy equipment. I think Dan has thought it out.
I remember the idle air years ago. I only used it once cause the air smell of cigarette smoke. But I did use it for the extra power
Stay safe out there brother. I'll see you on the next one.
Running in my stomping grounds! Enjoyed the ride . . .
That's for bring us along!
i really enjoy watching Bailey. so alert and seems like she wants to say something! keep doing what you do!
Bailey looks up at you wondering “Is he talking to me or just who is he talking to?”
Love that new shot you use
Thanks Dan stay safe out on the highway 🌵🇬🇧👍
Love this view. Bailey so cute as your co pilot. Stay safe.
I'll second that, she's so cute.
Needs to pet
Who ever Invented GPS
Is a Rockstar
Love the front camera view of you and Bailey. Show it more often.
Sliced bread
I know it's probably not possible, but it would be good to see Bailey using a seatbelt.
Sounds like you're going home..
I remember using IdleAir a few times...
I love how Bailey copilots you ❤
Cute pup ....keep you good company.
How many miles does your rig have on it now?
Hi, Bailey! ❤
Truckers from Quebec say I …
I used to live in Clarksville 👍
Is there an update on Teresa's jeep ?
Still got my card for idle air
baily wants to get out
My maternal grandfather owned a soft drink bottling franchise. My father drove several fixed delivery routes for his father-in-law all over Southwestern Utah (Beaver, Minersville, Newcastle, Hurricane, Springdale) and into Caliente, Pioche, and Panama, Nevada. Anyone familiar with the area knows it’s hilly with a lot of shifts required to keep the engine at its best speed while maximizing power to the drive wheels. His truck had five forward gears and a two speed rear axle. I rode with my father during the summers. I thought I was very familiar with the audible shift points for an engine. Watching and listening to you, my ear tells me you’re shifting too soon. I learned you wrapped the engine up RPMs up before shifting. Has something changed or is it the diesel engine in your truck with the number of gears and the variable axle in your truck? It’s not just you, I hear this all the time from other drivers. It just seems the engine isn’t being wrapped up as fast before shifts as I remember. (You have to watch the computer spell check-likes to leave the f out of shift.😉)
You were riding in a mechanical diesel engine, the new engines are computer monitored which allows you to shift at lower rpm's The computer does a really good job of monitoring everything and putting the right amount of fuel in to draw the right amount of air in, the days of having to rev out diesels to get them into the power are long gone, they still make a ton of power up higher in the rpm range but you never really need to go up there unless you are really pulling or pulling big hills.
What a good sidekick
Do you dubble clutch?
Idle Air is still around.
!
Getting out of dodge
Dan nice video!
Nice shifting
Same home town
Can’t help but think Bailey could use an elevated box bed so she could lie down and look out the window. Resting on the seat and against the dash under the vents would likely give her adequate space for a comfy bed/seat. Just a thought. Keep on truckin.
Do you ever let the window down some so Bailey can stick her head out the window 🤔 dogs seem to really enjoy that
If it were me, I’d be afraid Bailey or any other dog/cat would jump through the window. Not only would the pet get hurt, but it be a lot of lost driving time trying to get them back, if @ all.
