Supertruckerdan Facts: I am a flatbed owner operator leased to Mercer Transporation and Sponsored by Dorsey Trailer. I have always had an interest in trucking, and have now been driving professionally since 1992. At 10 minutes, that's what professional drivers do, they anticipate. My Pop drove from 1946 thru 1985, swinging beef and tankers. I spent many miles riding along, observing and learning. Dan, you have the same unflappable patience I always saw him exhibit. Always courteous, never seeming rushed and taking the extra care to safely proceed. I've seen the best get it done and you're right up there. Good job and darn nice Pete. Cheers

I've found Dan and Schmidt like to just lumber around with an "I'll get there when I get there" train of thought.... It's a safe way of moving 70+ foot vehicles.... Or as Goofy would say "Slow and Steady, Steady and Slow. That's that way I always go"
My dad drove from 75-2019, he did just about everything but tankers and huge oversized loads, and I too spent many many miles with him doing the extract same thing. From when I was 2 to 16 I was in his passenger seats every chance I got!
I was a police officer in Tempe for 28 years. Recognized everywhere you went. Really enjoyed this video.
I think one of the biggest reasons that we like watching you drive is that hood reminds us of when we used to drive

Hey Dan. Your calm, courteous, professional attitude shines every time. I know these tight places bring out the worst in some people and you passed the test. I never had a wheelbase that long and know you can get into some places that are terrible. Be safe and keep the shiny side up.Thanks for the videos.

I have driven over 8k miles on interstate this year hoping to find A Dorsey trailer, and I finally came upon one outside of Columbus Ohio.
Wife was a little surprised when I yelled out “ There’s a Dorsey Trailer”.
Your agility with your tractor trailer is amazing. Your planning and strategy is impressive. Super Trucker Dan is not an exaggeration nor a boast. Just a fact.
I saw a Mercer white freightliner cascadia with a big sleeper like yours yesterday on I 20 in Longview Texas.

That's what the middle lane is for, the right lane is for local traffic, That's why I like the cities that has truck traffic in left lane only..idc what driver gets mad behind me they can go around me if they don't like it.

Hi Dan, you always know how to find the right music in the video, very good.
When driving a large car you have to have what they call anticipation. In which good drivers have and you definitely fall under that category. Take good care of Bailey and have safe travels.

When city streets were planned and built, years ago, trailers and dry box trailers were 40’ long. Nowadays, at 53’ trailers only, no wonder curbs take a beating. Safe travels Dan.

Enjoyed watching another one. The rig is looking great. Safe travels.
11:56 there is a street in Boise, that they send you to for training, where you have to use a "button-hook" to make a right turn. the trainer always said; "that if your trailer tires go up on the curb, then you've failed, he said picture your tires running over a predustrian's toes, that are hanging off the curb." of course its a 4 lane road, while this one is 2, and the 4 wheelers didn't give you enough room to make a wide turn.
It's obvious with the drivers today, that is no longer the case...years ago hitting a curb would be a automatic fail
@@chuckyf-u2395 i got a warning, next time i made it, never flunked the school part. 2nd company i was on my 90 day solo and hit 2 cars in Queens, NY. got fired from that company. next company i stipulated i'd never go into NYC again. if i was routed thru it, i went around, even paid the out of pocket tolls and didn't requuest re-imbursement of said tolls, since i went out of route.

I love the "Industrial places" that never upgraded to the larger trailer lengths. 48' skateboard is tight in the 26'-30' docks.

great video, a lot of driving, i did most east coast, loading docks built in the 1940's and small car 50's, tight backing, the people that design these loading docks couldn't give the room needed, such was the life of a driver, pull toy here

Tight turns, them are fun. Was going to a place and GPS said it on the right and I didn't see any signage on the road or anything like that. So like ok where to turn around at. Well long story short, turned off a road on to another and they both had no signage saying no trucks. I made it, but damn that was a tight right turn. City roads man.
