    You know Dan, just enjoy the heck out of that truck. I could even see your other truck being a seasonal thing if Bigorange doesn't behave right in the winter. I'll bet the comfort of the quarters outweighs any downsides the length might have.

    Dan, you're a good dude brother, I am sure everybody here would agree. I have to admit that I smile inside when I see how much you like the NewUsed truck. Not sure how to say this, but in a world of so much bad, and bad people being so blessed, its good to see a hard working man have something they truly enjoy. Very cool.

    Dan, can you decide how they load your trailer? Also if this was a heavy load how do you know how to spread the weight out to prevent over weight tickets?

    • @dominick253
      @dominick253 3 года назад +1

      Absolutely you decide where it goes. There are pressure gauges for the airbags that can tell you how much weight is on the front and back of the trailer.

  • @lornperkins4270
    @lornperkins4270 3 года назад +1

    Thats a nice trailer but the ones with the tarp built into the trailer that slides back like a convertable top/accordion are sweet...I bet they are pretty expensive though you just unlock it and slide the whole tarp back. I tried tarping for a month..thoes things are NO JOKE especially when they are wet..and their damn heavy. I pull reefer these days..53' standard swing door.

    Hey, just wondering - with a lift axle on the trailer, why isn’t it made to lift the rear axle, thus giving you better maneuverability?

    • @simpsonsj
      @simpsonsj 3 года назад +3

      Lifting the front axle allows you to carry more weight when riding in single-axle configuration. If it were the rear-most axle that lifted, you would indeed be able to make tighter turns, but you'd be sacrificing carrying capacity for that same length of trailer.

    • @ken9503
      @ken9503 3 года назад

      @@TR-px9iq It may not change the weight rating of the trailer but it does effect the axle weight just as sliding the tandems on a trailer or sliding the fifth wheel on the tractor. You stated exactly what I'm trying to say here. By lifting the rear axle it shifts the weight to the front axle and transfers some weight from the front of the trailer back to that front axle just like sliding trailer tandems forward. That's the reason for the front axle being the lift axle. Respectfully, Ken

    With that truck. Make some calls and look to get on Specialty hauling. As the show freight comes back that's we're you would want to be with it. Not looking for F/V freight. Use to be you could get one company's show freight booked. Picked up at the Show booth maker then go do their show freight tour. Vegas / San Diego / maybe then to Atlanta or Miami, then rinse and repeat. The food packaging equipment shows were the best. Especially when they would sell a piece at a show and you got that ticket with it.
