"Smart trucking" talked about extra large sleeper trucks and mentioned he follows your channel. Both channels are very informative and entertaining. Thanks.
WAS KINDA CONCERNED ABOUT YAH... YOU GOT A COUPLE OF GOOD GUT KICKS. I JUST OVERLY CONCERNED FOR PEOPLE IN GENERAL. BUT IVE BEEN WATCHING FOR LORD 4 MAYBE 5YRS. GLAD TO SEE YOU BOTH AGAIN. GOD BLESS
Hi Dan, Passed you on I-10 in Alabama, you must have been headed to Panama City to load. I said hello and thank you on the CB. You’re videos have been excellent and very informative. Especially the video “so you want to be an owner operator” god bless and stay safe
Funny fact the back in the late 1800s a doctor invented a crude ac system in Panama City during a yellow fever outbreak to cool the patients. Stay safe out there Dan and Bailey.
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. I used to get upset when I would take a wrong turn and end up in a suburban area. Besides going into NYC I hated them the most. Even brand new facilities are not made so it’s easy for a tractor trailer to move around in. The only thing is the more tight spaces you had to deal with the better driver you became. I remember those days of getting wet while strapping down. The joys of running a deck. Thanks for posting and the info difference on the APU’s. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you.
I think if I were to ever do OTR again, I’d run a 12V a/c with an inverter/charger, a small lithium battery, and a small generator. Essentially gives you shore power capability, capable of being powered by the onboard generator. Could then run everything while the truck runs if desired or necessary. Run a block heater, too. Ideally, the generator would be diesel, but they’re pricey. The a/c is around $2500, the inverter/charger around $900, plus whatever battery and generator you get.
Very informative about APU and another good video showing the life of an owner operator. 👍Like your background music at the end of your videos. I wonder what's the name of the song in this video
Places that ship and receive should have maps that they can send to truckers showing them where they need to go. It's easy to take a screenshot of google maps to get an overhead picture of a facility and mark it where you want the trucker to go. If it's in an area that's difficult to navigate, a wider view with the routes marked out would be handy. Too many times truckers call a facility and talk to a secretary who doesn't know the truck routes. They give directions for the way they get there in their car.
I love driving in harsh weather conditions. Rain, snow, wind, all make driving exciting. It also increases my senses. And it makes for relaxing off hours. Like banging your head against the wall because it feels so good when you stop.
I also use to love driving in bad weather. Yup things could get exciting and you had to be careful and not drive over your capabilities to much. When you started to pucker up to much was a hint time to slow down.
I hope you had a Great Christmas and you have a blessed New Year! Love your channel, a professional doing a professional job, no whining, moaning, screaming about life.
Reminds me of my days as a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force and Pa Air National Guard. Sometimes hot, extreme heat in Kuwait, cold, wet, windy, snow. But I loved my job. Sometimes we did our work in hangers, you on the other hand are pretty much outside. Thanks for the generator/apu differences. We had aircraft apu's for starting the aircraft engines and providing heat and ac to the aircraft. You and Teresa have the perfect property in Az. No nearby neighbors. Always too peoplely for me. Lol. You always keep your cool, even though we know you get frustrated at times. Thanks for the videos. Very much appreciated.
Hey Dan, glad to see y'all down our way. I live in lucedale Ms and work in Saraland AL. Always wondering if I'd ever see ya on the road. Hope 2024 is the best for y'all 🙂👍🏼
going thru a residential area cause i missed my turn got me into trouble once in Kentucky when i was delivering 40 tons of beer. ended up in a cul-de-sac and ruining the landscaping garden in the middle. needed2 wreckers to drag me out
Dan i love you're videos everyone complains about the trucking industry, you are the only one who doesn't what's you're secret? I think i know your answer.
Hey Dan, you already know that you can’t trust that little computer chip lady in that GPS fully. I’ve had them try to turn me into a cotton field in the middle of nowhere Texas,I think it’s just some AI humor.😅😮
Let me guess 1. Shipper would not let you stay the night after loading, so you had to stop at Love’s for your break? Question how in the world do you find a parking spot for that truck at a Love’s when the sun goes down? If it was after 5pm I would not even try. Good video as always.
looking good Dan HAPPY new YEAR For sure that was a merry go around , Little Bailey she had her ears up tall thinking were the hades is all this water coming from dad 😂 be safe take care yourselve Dan
Hey. How are All U doing? Like the Video and Scenery! Dan, Why U Pull Regular Flat Bed Trailer instead of Step Deck!?? Step Deck Trailer Lower to Ground than Regular Flat Bed, Seems as Securing Loads and Tarping be Easier for a Person especially Newbie!! Take Care Amigo 😇💪💥
Hey U passed by Indian---are U picking up some bikes?? I still have my Dads built 1951 Chief. He did nothing but restore and rebuild Indian Motocycles for 60+ years of his life. !!!!
Dan to Bailey, “what do you think, I think we’re going to get wet” Bailey to Dan, “what do you mean.. WE”.
Keep it working Pal 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thank goodness he did invent the a/c.

Maybe businesses are cutting corners on space by pouring smaller areas for trucks.
Safe Travels. Love to see Miss Bailey jump around all excited. Give her a hug, smooched, & scratches behind each ear.
Hey Dan I saw you at a rest area in Florida on Saturday. You were parked two trucks from me. It was cool to see you in person lol.
GreenAPU.. should get one of theirs.
I am sure you enjoy the large sleeper in weather like the heavy rain. God bless and be safe.

Great video. Thank you.
Were you there when the tornado hit Thomas Dr in Panama City Beach?
Hello
Always great video brother from the imperial county California 👍 and happy New year 🎊🎊
Who is the song artist at the end? Nice strumming and vocals. It reminds me of Jimmy Deans well done Big Bad John story telling song.
Thank you for showing how professional you are. You work in all conditions. Happy New Year. That rain was sure coming down. Take care.
Bailey is getting a bit more yippy lately. LOL. Gonna try and save some $$$ to make itto MATS 2024. Are you going to be there again?
As of right now I’ll be at MATS set up in the Mercer booth
Usually drivers will hold a checkered flag out their window when they do a victory lap around the place.
going thru a residential area cause i missed my turn got me into trouble once in Kentucky when i was delivering 40 tons of beer. ended up in a cul-de-sac and ruining the landscaping garden in the middle. needed2 wreckers to drag me out
40 tons of beer would be 80,000 pounds. How did you fit that on a truck and still make legal weight?
@@allenwilliams6882 my bad meant 40000 lbs
