The 4050 is the first laptop gpu from the xx50 series that is actualy an upgrade. The 1650 ti was preety much equivalent to the 2050 wich was preety much equivalent to the 3050.

I bought a g5 for my wife with a 3060, honestly a pretty good laptop, loud as hell when you start playing but what do u expect. Had some driver issues with it failing to install updates but uninstalling and reinstalling nvidia control panel (or whatever it is my pc is all amd) fixed the issue

I got my hands on a Acer Nitro 5 with a RTX 3070, but from what I've heard from others, the models with a 3050/4050 are severely lacking in performance without scaling back almost every graphical setting (probably due to the reduced VRAM and core count) . I'd argue if someone wants to play starfield, they're better off getting an older laptop with something like a 3070 or higher. It'll probably be cheaper but provide more performance, although I'm not sure how much of a boost Frame Generation would bring to the 4050.

Also from what i remember u need a powerful cooler for that and gonna change your thermal paste on it since it cooling system is very bad i believe and unless your s in a cold place then i think its fine
I have a Gigabyte G5 for 800€ it's so good with RTX 3060 but now for the same price you get one with RTX 4060 even :3 i love it. My friends got it too since I recommended it to them. I upgraded to 2tb ULTRA SUPER FAST M.2 and 32GB ram. For only 800€ it's insanity. And the fact the 4060 version cpsts the same is awesome.

@@Elwazza this one is on the lighter side of gaming laptops (2kg instead of the usual 2.5kg) so it's hot, your fingers will likely burn after some times of gaming. The 4050 on this laptop doesn't use as much power as other 4050 laptops for the reason so the performance is drastically lower, sometimes even only half as good as other 4050. They did this to fix the heat problem but the 90°C come from the cpu lol. This laptop isn't that bad if it's just for casual use but other 4050 laptops are miles better albeit few hundred bucks more expensive. The only laptop I can think of equally bad is the MSI GF63-thin 2023 for the similar price, maybe the GF one is slightly worse (I haven't seen enough reviews on that laptop) so this one is the second worst 4050 I guess

Honestly, it doesn't seem that good. For that price, there's some laptops that have better specs. There's one that has a 3070 ti and AMD 6800H, for cheaper. It was on sale however.
Dudes 3050 Ti with 144hz and 1080P on war thunder max settings was 60fp. Because I had 16x anisotropic which was fine but then i added 4x on top of that which cut the FPS from 144 solid too half turning into 40fps low to 60fps but 4050 should be fine especially the cpu and hey this computer is already great coming from a 3050 Ti user with a i7
4050 is alright tbh if you want to play 50-60fps on high or 100-120fps on low for most games, the battery power consumption is amazing letting you use the laptop for like 4hours which is better than my 2070 laptop that would last 40minutes lol

Yo, 16 GB of RAM is actually pretty good. You can buy more expensive gaming laptops that only have eight gigs.
I bought 1 msi from Best buy for $700 dollars and the specs are very similar, the game I wanted to play can't do 120fps which is why I bought it for, now I don't know if I should return it and try to find a better one on the used market, around the same price.
Read "4050" and immediately knew this was garbage. Im pretty sure you can get a 3050 laptop for under 800$ these days
