In Brazil, where I'm from, the guy who's the Brazilian version of the guy in this video, recently made a campaign to gather resources to travel to Norway, to prove that the midnight Sun was a lie, then disproving that the Earth is round. Well, he got the money, he went to Norway, he obviously saw the Sun at midnight, and he came back very heartbroken that his "theory" was very wrong. Now he's gathering resources to go to the South Pole, because he believes that there's no possible way that the midnight Sun would occur there as well. These guys are committed to their failures (and some are travelling the world with other stupid people's money in the process)

But you can't look past that the NASA curvature measurements don't add up to many people who've studied it and to say that thousands of people can't lie about something is also flawed because not only would they all share the same naritive but many involved in the projects would only be there to build specific parts of the shuttles and for it to work they would only have to 'think' what is happening is real so they Aren't actually lying just mislead.

Mainly those who wouldn't be inclined to change their view on given subjects, e.g. flat Earthers. But they do have a quality of skepticism, it seems more of misplaced. I also fear a situation of Dunning-Kruger effect, so I make sure that I either have take a class on something and phrase the stuff I learn from places like the internet after a warning to take it with a grain of salt or encourage research into the topic itself.

Which from my perspective on civil engineer, we use alot of formula that derived gravity unit (9.81m/s^2) to design our buildings specially in safety factors . So, if one of them(fe) is a civil enginner, what would they use? 0m/s^2?

I don't believe the flat earth theory. But you can't look past that the NASA curvature measurements don't add up to many people who've studied it and to say that thousands of people can't lie about something is also flawed because not only would they all share the same naritive but many involved in the projects would only be there to build specific parts of the shuttles and for it to work they would only have to 'think' what is happening is real so they Aren't actually lying just mislead.

So being that in the grand scheme of things the moon is very close the dark side of the moon when it is aligned on the dark side of the earth is probably fairly similar. Similarly during an eclipse when the moon obscures the sun the dark side of the moon is towards us. All this is to say flat eartherism is so stupid that we should talk about either chemically castrating or preferably launching them on one way rockets to space. One prevents their level of intellectual darksiderism from propegating the other would educate them. They can pick.

Just tell me why. Who profits from lying about the earth being round? Because it isn't just NASA. If the earth was truly flat, that means every pilot, every person who saw the ice wall in Antarctica would also have to maintain the "lie", why? Exactly what is gained by learning the earth is flat?

@@jai8064, yeah, I use it as a way to get out of an inconvenient conversations with people who are denying stuff that is trivial. Mainly those who wouldn't be inclined to change their view on given subjects, e.g. flat Earthers. But they do have a quality of skepticism, it seems more of misplaced. I also fear a situation of Dunning-Kruger effect, so I make sure that I either have take a class on something and phrase the stuff I learn from places like the internet after a warning to take it with a grain of salt or encourage research into the topic itself.
