Yes - that is one reading of it; another is this: that it's taken these disparate artists and art styles and crafted a great list of greats into a well presented, cohesive whole - this is what I feel a top-notch magazine does, and something we are missing in this internet age. The low "entry-cost" to publishing online means "everybody has a voice" - when Its clear that silence WAS golden, meaning: Not all videos and creators are equal - but this channel does it very well, with way more-than-competent (approaching 'pro') production values, and a fairly humorous narrative voice throughout. I would rather watch these guys do a top-ten skate list, well researched and presented, than go read about the same thing - im looking for a rapid fire list, with salient points, which is read to me. Art is visual, and I think a video is sometimes superior to a list. With the reading done for you, in the form of narration, it could be argued that the visuals therfore have more meaning. A video list is also helpul in certain circumstances. For example: I can listen to this list, whilst I have a bath, where I can listen and look and learn WITHOUT having to try to teeter a precarious magazine in the bath (all the while taking far too long). This is a great video for a great number of scenarios. Cheers guys, Keep up the good work :) "LiL'JpD."

I think you could’ve split this into two videos and did skateboarders who turned into artists and artists who ended up doing skateboards if that makes sense. Like McKee wasn’t known as a skater like Blender and Gonz, Templeton. You know all the names.
Honorable mentions for artists. 1.) Natas Kaupas - On Video Winter 2003 Documentary. He help make the text for On Videos, Big Brother Magazines, Quicksilver advertisements, and even designing stuff in a Porn Magazine after his injury during the 101 Skateboard era. 2.) Jeremy Wray - Went to school in art classes in college featured in 411VM Issue 1 Profiles Article from 1993. As well as made pro model boards for Color Skateboards. 3.) Kris Markovich - His own are to designing skateboards with Crimson Skateboards. 4.) Lance Mountain - Designing his board when he ran The Firm Skateboards.
My first deck purchased from a shop (1993-ish) was a World Industries Daewon Song (slick) with a graphic showing the Land Before Time cartoon dinosaurs. Except the stegosaurus "Spike" had a big bite mark out of his back. My mom was mortified but I loved that deck. Wish they would re-issue it. Steve Rocco was a master of putting out troll-ish/controversial deck graphics. He did so much for the industry regardless of how people feel about him. I also wanted the old school Star Wars Plan B decks.
I just got some stickers from strangelove about two days ago, along with a funny letter that looks to be signed by possibly by a guy named Sean. It looks pretty similar to what I see online, just minus the "Cliver". I also can't see why some random picker in the warehouse would decide to write some other random dude a note. Shout out from the man himself? I dunno, but at least I got some cool stickers. Keep up the videos.
