Fernie BC in the Fall (Our First Trip Out of Alberta since 2020)

- In this video, we've partnered with Tourism Fernie to explore Fernie during the fall, including a spectacular hike up Mt. Fernie, canoeing on Island Lake, a historic walking tour, and more.
This was our first time leaving Alberta since March 2020 when the pandemic began. We know it's been a lot of Alberta content but we're happy to let you know that we've now been to 6 provinces in less than 40 days.
Fernie BC is just a 3-hour drive south of Calgary and is a paradise for those seeking adventure and mountains!
PS: Unfortunately, the guesthouse we stayed in during this video has been sold and is no longer operated as a guesthouse.

We’re Matt & Karla, a Canadian couple with two totally different backgrounds.
Matt is the “quintessentially Canadian”, born under the northern lights in Northern Alberta with family all over the country, whereas Karla is originally from Mexico City, bringing a totally fresh perspective to a country she has fallen in love with.
Over the past 10 years, we have travelled to 42 countries spanning six continents, which has given us the expertise to plan amazing trips and find memorable experiences.
In 2017, we decided to explore our own massive backyard with Road to 150, a 150-day #roadtrip across #Canada, witnessing the beauty and diversity of this country and sharing our experiences through video, pictures, social media, and articles. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of Canadians and travellers worldwide make the most of every Canadian experience.
Well done guys. The drinks at the end of the hikes were the drinks. Looks like fun. Just a small sip and it’s gone. Hahahahaha. Thanks guys’d for taking us along on your adventures today. Cheers!!!
Hey! Glad to hear from you. Like Will Ferrel in Old School, once it hits your lips, it's so good
wow! wow! next stop!
Great job on the video, Karla & Mathew. I have forwarded it to my database. Thanks for the great views and the great comments about our Guest House, Twisted Timber. We would love to have you back, maybe come this winter and enjoy the Fernie powder.
Thanks Andre! Yes, it would be great to come back! It's been a long time since we skied in Fernie
May this couple live long healthy life. Keep on enjoying us.
Thank you :)
Great video! We just spent 3 weeks visiting Fernie in Oct and stayed at the Fernie RV resort. One of the reasons for stopping there on our cross Canada journey was to see our son and meet his girlfriend, who coincidently is a server at the Loaf! We also.enjoyed a delicious meal there. Will stop again on our way back east in the spring.
Nice! Where were u visiting from? Yeah, I think we could live in Fernie... if we had the money haha
Good to finally get a view from Andre and Susan’s guest home in Fernie! We are long, long time friends and love the updates. Keep them coming!

Great video! Carla is always a tough judge with mexican things in Canada.
haha yes, I figure if she says it's good, its good
i would love to see you guys go through southern Alberta/ Sask, Lethbridge and the dinosaur park
i think its called little bow dinosaur provincial park and in Sask elbow lake is the largest sailing lake in Canada
its all semi desert area with cool walking/ biking trails and cactuses
ps love your series, and i'm sure it will be a valuable resource over the next few years as people start traveling again. the "must see secrets" of each area are especially enticing
That does sound cool! We do have some videos on Medicine Hat, Cypress, and Grasslands NP in Sask. Love that place. Oh and Crowsnest Pass. Have you seen them?
Great video of Fernie. Have you ever been to the Fernie brewery.
