It is a physically demanding traveling up that scree slop . We found that part of the visit the most memorable of all . You folks did a fantastic video and audio of your experience . Congratulations !
Brought back so many memories. I've done this hike twice nearly 30 years ago! First time the clouds rolled in and there was no view from the top! Second time was perfect. Would love to do it again. Your video reminded me of some of the views that I had forgotten. Green Gardens is excellent as well.
Your channel has inspired me & my girlfriend to move from Ontario to Alberta because we’re in love with the Rockies and the West Coast in general. We’re excited to continue to watch your journey as we plan on visiting these same beautiful places ourselves in the future.
Thanks for sharing your experience!! At 8:52 that's where I proposed to my beautiful wife!! We didn't fully have the same hike experience as you guys 😂 but it was worth it! We were featured on CBC search "sweat, nausea and tears a Gros Morne mountain proposal". Thanks for sharing our beautiful country with everyone 😊
Great video, We just did the hike. You definitely need a full day, and at least 3 litres of water. Also bring a flashlight in case you get back late ( like us).
Beautiful scenery all the way! Great job you two. Good to get out in nature. So we call the white Ptarmigan Rockers and the Brown n white ones Browsers or more relative name would be Brushers because they like to hide in the brush. What time of year did you go hiking there? It seemed a little cold.
@MustDoCanada must be if you're right near the coast thing. I'm originally from Burgeo when it gets muggy 19 degrees feels like 26 sometimes. Might not be like that on the west coast though.?

Fell in love with Rocky Harbour and Gros Morne... was there in Sept2016, really need to go back there soon... Wait did you say new trails? thats amazing it means when I go back it would be new experience... I can relate about going back we lost the sun 30min before we got back to the parking 😅
I was 16 years old in 2013 climbing Gros Morne Mountain in Newfoundland with my dad , twin brother and are cousin and she is only 8 years old... She beat us to the top before us three guys by a long shot.... It was a great 9 hour hike but we didn't bring enough water and food for the 4 of us and we got chased by a mother 🫎 moose (cow) down the mountain for a moment since her calfs were near us too. We never felt so thirsty when we got back to are car. Drinking like two bottles of water each.,

Wonder if they have helicopter tours because it would take me a week to climb that 26 hundred foot mountain.
haha I don't think so. Snowmobiles in the winter though
520 million years hey lol wow
Hi! What month was this hike taken place? I am thinking of going in October, do you think the weather will be manageable?
It should be yes. You could always reach out to them but we did this hike in either very late september or very early October.
I did it 2 times when I was 9 and 10 and it took 4 hours and I'm doing it in a week I'm 11
8 and 9 sorry
😍
Just curious what time of year did you do this hike???
Really enjoy your videos of Canada. Thanks for sharing
This was in late September I believe. But generally, it's best from June to early September
Did I miss you saying what time of year you did the hike?
This was the fall, end of September. But better months are July and August for prime weather

You two really need to do a US trip. That would be fun to hear a Canadian perspective. Make sure to swing through the UP, eh?!
What's the UP? Yes, we've considered doing a really big all-state trip one of these days. Covid kinda screwed thing sup

That’s return :)

Hi, how's the temperature of newfoundland in late April? And can we do this hike in April?
It's quite common to have snow on the ground in Newfoundland during the spring. With some years having a snowfall in May and June.
Was it hard to get a permit to fly in the National Park?
It's not that hard in Atlantic Canada. However, they send someone with you the entire time, and of course, there's a fee each day as well

Did you get a permit to fly a drone in this park? Pretty sure you're not allowed to fly any drone, even micro drones in national parks.
Yes, we had a permit. You can see Parks Canada with us in the video
Hello, i tought the drone was illegal.
Not if you get approval from parks canada
I live in newfoundland and never been there
