I almost scrapped this video due to it not going as planned, but I’m curious: does the AZ desert make anyone feel sick? I travel all over the country and this is the only place I feel this way! Is it a creosote allergy? Idk
@@TheBlackLeprechaunI’m so happy to be back! Everytime I go to the desert it puts me out of commission 😭 Also, yes I did and that is what has given me half my life back. Thank you Khloe kardahsian lol
Yes girl!! I live in New Mexico and every single year my head starts hurting during the changing of seasons. It’s just awful! 😣 Also just had to laugh when you asked if you could go to jail for a few days to pay off that ticket. Girl you are crazy!! 🤪 But I love ❤ you to death. So wise, but so innocent at the same time. 😊 Take care and stay sweet!! 🙏🙏🙏
I'm glad I'm not the ONLY one who gets sick in the Arizona desert. I lived in Tuscan for 6 months and I was miserable. I had the worst itchy skin, headaches, just miserable. Granted I'm from NorCal. Santa Cruz CA. I grew up in-between the giant redwoods and the ocean. Yeah everyone made me feel like I was just being a whiner😢 but I was miserable. I hope you find relief soon my girl!
Jail time in exchange for a ticket….genius! 😂 I’ve been getting headaches in the desert too so I’ve been drinking extra water, taking extra vitamins, Bode - Strong, propolis, colloidal gold and getting rest. Good to see you back on. I always love your sense of humor.
I'm local to Phoenix and so sorry about your migraines. One possibility is dehydration. Now , in Nov, our temps are great but still quite dry. Just breathing dries you out. I always flood my system with water - even if you don't feel thirsty , drink more water and see if that helps. Internal disorder is no fun, best hopes you are on the mend.
I knew that this was going to be another good video...I almost choked on my water when you were talking about going to jail for a day or two at the beginning. That defined the whole video. Thank you for these videos!!! Happy feelings and good vibes and hope that you feel better!!! 🙂
I’m so glad I found you again! I love watching you! To me your like my van life daughter. lol. I’m 65 btw and am a grandma. I’m still trying to find a van. No luck yet.
I wish I had your positive outlook on life however I continue to ruin into obstacles that beat me down even though I make it through them I still feel beaten, so please and Thank you keep your head up for the both of us. Thank you for being you
Thanks for another excellent vlog! That was a good one but it did have some sad vibes to it besides your migraine. You need to find some people who love you and spend some time together. This is always my solution when I feel a little down or lonely or sad. Looking forward to the next one!
Your friend seems really nice at the end. I love people who don’t care about age differences, just having things in common. That’s me too! I’m female. I’m sorry the dry desert doesn’t agree with you. As for me, I need to get the dry air back! My skin suffers from too much humidity.
Wow! That's crazy. Im a trucker and sleep at quartsite weekly and i get major migraines. Alot of truckers i heard kidneys hurt bc the bouncing of the trucks so they recommend a back brace when driving
Alyssa! You ARE A TROOPER ! it must have been bad headache every so often but you did it! Seen your Awesome friends and had a great time. Hang on there 😊 keep 0n Trucking GurL 😊
One of my besties suffered migraines mostly triggered by weather changes in barometric pressure. She got her traggus pierced on the ear side that gave her the most pain and hasn’t had a migraine since. She’s not had one in a few years now
Hello, Alyssa. Glad to see you were feeling so much better. Something that makes me really sick is the desert in Arizona, all the same blowing gives me really bad sinus headaches. The only thing that ever helps, is saline spray, about 4 times a day. And a netty pot, to wash out the dirt. The saline solution keeps my nose from drying out so much. The combo really helps, otherwise I have sinus headaches and sneezing fits. Maybe these suggestions can help you, give you something different to try. Safe travels, we'll be watching🎉🎉
Enjoy the Sonoran Desert. I still have family in Blythe and Phoenix, but I haven't been down that way for several years. We have already had a few nights at freezing temps in the western Mojave.
Love your adventures, and I've been all over the country. Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but humidity is a huge plus for me. The desert has it's benefits, yet my head and body feel so much better with some moisture in the air. Anti-allergens and skin happiness really impact whole health. 😊 for me.
I’m sorry that you are struggling with migraines. I get them from time to time and for me you have to take medication right away before they get worse. If I take a Feroshet right away it usually helps, but good that you made it to a nice hotel. The lower left side would probably be intestinal. Good luck, hope you feel well soon!
Hey pretty lady🥰, glad to see you back🤗! I live in the southeast and I'm 62 years old I have never had allergies up until this year WTF🥴. I'm thankful I do not get migraines, my eyes get puffy and itchy and raw from rubbing them and nose runs. I have noticed that the dryer it gets the worse it is. I think it's something they putting in the air🤔😮. Love ya stay safe🥰😘❤️❤️🔥!
My wife and I gets that way too every time we go to Arizona and Southern California feel like we died and ran over multiple times with the same 18 wheeler we feel sooooo much better when we get up to the high country where the animals and trees out number the people 1,000’s to 1
Alyssa, I am really sorry to hear about your headaches. I also suffer from headaches and migraines. I take a simple remedy. The significance in this remedy is to take it as soon as you feel the headache before it turns into a migraine. Take one Rapid Release Tylenol and one Excedrin Migraine. Also, for me there are foods that will trigger a migraine onto me. Explore foods that do trigger headaches/migraine. I really hope this remedy and information helps you.
I'm sorry you're sick. The weather there is a dry heat. So between the heat, sun and bonus high humidity its no wonder your migraines are triggered. Leaving the area will help you to feel better.
You might try wearing a mask to see if that helps with the dry air and dust blowing around, that way you might be able to narrow it down to something if that were to help
I’m from N.Y. And I’ve been living in Vegas for 3 years now and at least twice a year I go through something similar! Something about the desert my body does not like lol Love your videos ! Sending love babe 🤍
Happy to see you again, Alyssa! Arizona native here. I have tremendous allergies even though I haven’t always had them. We are very dry and mostly hot, but the dust is crazy town here ALWAYS. I do not get migraines but I do have evening to morning head yuck. Valley fever is common which is caused by dust. So yes it is problematic and different for visitors from humid climates. I’m sorry you had to flee the yuck! ❤ Definitely get some electrolytes and lots of water in! Total game changer. 💦💧And you were in Gila (pronounced HEE-la) Bend, the armpit and gas station hub of AZ. 😂 Been through there many times!
Try the thing they call a ring dining look it up might help with the migraine headaches. It helps decompress the neck and spine. 😊 Good luck love the travels!
Loved the video as always. Sorry your migraines keep returning. My friend is a Neurologist and suggests more frequent fluids especially in dryer areas like Arizona and Nevada. The grapes look delicious! Good source of fluid also. Even though you don't feel good you look Fantastic! The temperature is dropping here in Sin City so travelling through here will be pleasant. I saw you posted the new video at work and I couldn't wait to get home to watch it so I watched it in our parking garage. I hope you get to feeling better. It was great seeing you posted today. I'm going to watch the video again then get some sleep. Take care. Stay sweet and stay safe. Love ya!🥰🥰🥰
Hello Alyssa, sorry to hear you are suffering from severe headache especially when you are in the desert, Arizona. Have you tried to check your histamine level, that could be a culprit. Best of luck!!
Alyssa ive been migraine sufferer since 1990, 3yrs ago, I had to quit my imitrex script. I now use exedrine migraine, it works better than other otc meds. Liquid IV will help replenish you with electrolytes. I get bad allergies in AZ desert. Excessive heat is migraine trigger for me, also light sensitive during migraine. Elevation could also be contributing factor. Good luck. Hope youre feeling better.
@AlyssaVanilla I'm doing well however, holidays are coming up which is a difficult time for me. My anxiety is starting to get to me. Happens every year
Try getting your Tragus pierced for your migraines Alyssa. A friend of mine was told to get hers pierced to at least minimize her migranes and she said it helps. Hope this helps you 🤲🏾... Also, try getting one of those thermal pillows so you can make your head as warm or cool as needed during those migraines ❤
I've had migraines like that and my doctor called the clusters. I got on gabapentin and I will say it helped. BUT THEN I started getting high blood pressure so I stopped and will only use it if I really have to. I also got my eyes checked and found out that that played a part in all of it too. Hope this helps. Stay hydrated ❤
I live in Phoenix and I’m usually ok as far as allergies. On another note, is there any way you could upload more? I love your videos so much! If it’s too much for you I completely understand, I will be here watching out for new videos. Be safe out there and have fun.
stay hydrated! Especially in environments like Arizona, most humans do not drink enough water in a day and just hydrating the way our bodies need can help with so much. It won't stop the migraines, but it will help the duration and intensity. I am medical research student, and my wife also suffers from migraines and more and when I make her drink enough water (when I can lol) she does notice the differences. Our bodies and cells need so much water to function properly.
Welcome Welcome Back Alyssa and I am watching your videos after a long long time and I hope you are doing good and How's your health and How's Everything 🥹🥹💕💕 and I will always support you so so so much
Pot and Jack is great for allergies and a number of other ailments as well such as hemorrhoids, ingrown toenails, skinned knees, constipation, diarrhea and a whole lot of other things as well.
Good to see you. I know how you feel. I too deal with migraines due to changes in barometric pressure when theres rain or changes in temperature of more than 10 degrees. Only thing i found that helps me is allergy nasal spray or severe Sinus Cold headache meds i.e. Aleve D or Walgreens brand
Sorry to hear you suffer with migraines. My doctor recommended Botox for my migraines and now I don’t get migraines anymore. Wish you feel better soon. You can go to court for the speeding ticket and hope the officer doesn’t show up. Good luck!
Hi, Alyssa! I’ve struggled with debilitating migraines in the past… like loss of half field of vision, head splitting pain, etc. Supplements and Vitamins that have helped me almost completely eliminate them include a Fish Oil supplement, Vitamin D, Curcumin (found in Turmeric), Vitamin B complex. I also take a Probiotic, and alternate days of taking Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. All the best to you. Feel free to reach out to me should you need any additional details on my regime.💛
Im on topiramate 25mg for my headaches n it works maybe talk to your doctor n try this medication it works soooooo good . Good Luck My Beautiful Friend and My God Bless U . 💓💕💖💞
Here’s the thing. I kinda hate the desert. My body and car rejects it by breaking down. The PNW has a ton of dessert and a high desert too. I get sunburnt and nosebleeds on a regular in it. It’s dusty. Not colorful. Windy. When I’m in the desert all I want is rockhounding, hot springs or an ORV. But I’m from a rainy, green forest and am spoiled. My medicine kit includes Benadryl, but as an emergency. Because it makes me drowsy. Advil liquid gel caps have saved me from many issues. Try that first. I like your videos because it’s literally how everyone camped before van life. You need awning for shade. I love my little camper, but also love the simplicity of an awning set up next to my car.
Love that you're back on the road! Have you tried a saline spray for your sinuses? The very dry air out in the desert may be some of the cause of your migraines when you're out there. And because Saline doesn't contain any drugs, you can use it as often as you like! If you have sensitive sinuses, I'd recommend a children's spray. They're more gentle and easier to deal with than regular sprays for those not used to them. Benadryl shouldn't be used all that often, I would suggest using an actual allergy medication - perhaps talk to a doctor for recommendations of what might work best for you.
Aly, I went to highschool in Tucson, early ‘70’s. Yes Gila Bend is pronounced HE-LA BEND. The Sonoran desert overflows with pollen, you have allergies? In southern Arizona they will be 2 and 3 times worse. Your videos continue to be wonderful, thank you
I get those headaches also, I’m so sorry there terrible. What will ease them is to put your feet in a tub or whatever bowl of hot water it really works to relieve it some.
Alyssa your an amazing person even though I just know you're vibe from the videos you post , I have lost my little sister and you remind me of her she was the first female firefighter in the city of Philadelphia that lost her life "saving an older woman. but you're spirit is just like her's 😢 I respect your Chanel and your content
Choose which way you want to do it---hot compress on neck and face, ice water on feet or the other way around...it helps relieve those migraines! I do it several times a month.
Mix 2/3 Turmeric with 1/3 black pepper keep in a small jar. Each day you have pain add this to your coffee/ tea it takes care of any pain and last most of the day it is all natural and works, I keep a small bottle of the mixture with me at all times.
There are no junipers around Quartzite, they only grow in the mid level areas in Arizona. I’ve lived here my entire life and junipers certainly blow up one’s allergic reactions. Generally they grow just around the 4000 got level. I live about 3500’ level, so I’m just below their level of “hate”. By the way, I lived there for 6 years.
@@traceytrotter9934 , spores in the dirt effect some people and animals and Drs. recommend higher elevations like ShowLow, Williams, Flagstaff, Alpine, Springerville. Etc, to avoid Valley Fever. It’s just a thought. My SIL had a dog with it, but they were able to medicate it until it passed. I’ve also had several acquaintances have to relocate.
I almost scrapped this video due to it not going as planned, but I’m curious: does the AZ desert make anyone feel sick? I travel all over the country and this is the only place I feel this way! Is it a creosote allergy? Idk

I like your videos because it’s literally how everyone camped before van life. You need awning for shade. I love my little camper, but also love the simplicity of an awning set up next to my car.
Still a dope video to see interactions of people and know humanity isn’t as horrible as sometimes portrayed
So happy to see a new video!
My sympathy ❤
Choose which way you want to do it---hot compress on neck and face, ice water on feet or the other way around...it helps relieve those migraines! I do it several times a month.
Mix 2/3 Turmeric with 1/3 black pepper keep in a small jar. Each day you have pain add this to your coffee/ tea it takes care of any pain and last most of the day it is all natural and works, I keep a small bottle of the mixture with me at all times.
While I don't have Migraines I know many who do and I know how painful they can be , I hope you get rid of yours soon and have a great week
im glad you made it.
It's probably the junipers. I never had allergies before I moved to Arizona, luckily I don't get migraines. So sorry you have to deal with that!
@@FLYOD1945 Hmmm. What do you think it is?
@@traceytrotter9934 , spores in the dirt effect some people and animals and Drs. recommend higher elevations like ShowLow, Williams, Flagstaff, Alpine, Springerville. Etc, to avoid Valley Fever. It’s just a thought. My SIL had a dog with it, but they were able to medicate it until it passed. I’ve also had several acquaintances have to relocate.
