good stuff, I have a 3 monitor setup and, with the main one usually dedicated to console capture output, it's never enough. Gonna use the source dock for faster management, wondering if you can only monitor the dock or add sources/drag 'n' drop

They need a plugin named "Source Nutty" and have all added when you download OBS!!!
Advanced Scene Switcher became a pivotal part of my operations recently. I run a bunch of videos at the head and foot of my show and it helps me shut my stream down once I'm done.
Since I've recently moved to a two-PC setup, the network support allows me to control the other computer using parallel-named scenes. The first scene shows a test pattern and indication that I've started streaming and is located on the streaming PC, which also functions as a trigger to ACTUALLY start streaming. Another scene selects the NDI scene so then my streaming PC can ingest the video from my main PC.
All the other intervening scenes that I use for my stream do not have parallels on the streaming PC so I just stream as normal.
Once I'm done, I select a scene on my main PC that goes to black, then on the streaming PC, the parallel scene is a trigger to stop streaming.
This plugin has been nothing short of a godsend for my operations.

Been watching your videos as a non-gamer. Really help me setup OBS for doing training videos for work. Granted I don't get to do anything flashy but was able to record and publish several videos and everyone in the firm has mentioned how professional it looks. Advance Scene Switcher is major for me. As a drummer, I often forget to switch my talking scene to my playing scene, blowing my viewers' ears out in the process. I set it to switch when it hears loud noise for over a second, and we're good! Thanks for the vid man

very insightful, I want to be come a gamer but didn't know the proper equipment to buy
for streaming my videos. my cousin told me about OBS, but I didn't quite understand how to use it but I came across your videos and gave me more confidence. was going to buy the elgato capture card hd60x but this works better with pc gaming .I also want to stream Nintendo gaming as well so I guess the elgato card hd60s+ will be come handy then. defiantly getting the elgato mic and green screen and Carma. love your video's
