Hey everyone! Thanks so much for tuning into today's video! After 12 years of keeping tarantulas I still get a bit nervous rehousing new/old world arboreals 😅! That being said I'd say these rehouses went pretty smooth! Which of your t's is the one animal you fear rehousing most?
Reptiliatus my only T I am genuinely fearful of dealing with is my O sp blue quezon and it’s a grown on sling 😂 my H macs are puppies compared to the quezon lol
Hey friend! Absolutely loved the video. That irminia was *mad.* not looking forward to when mine gets that big. And aww, it looked like you were holding those versis' hands and helping them cross the street. Too cute. Lol
It’s supposed to be that way...but I f’ed up my finger when the plastic formed a needle at one hole. Surprisingly, went straight through my finger. Needless to say I haven’t used the enclosures day learned a lesson I guess. 😂
At 16:40 you mention that you will rehouse a Psalmopoeus irminia which you call a Trinidad Chevron. 1)P. irminia is commonly called the Venezuelan Sun Tiger. 2)Trinidad Chevron is called a P. cambridgei. In any event, I know that you clearly know the difference and this was a simple slipup, but I am a stickler for details! :) Great video bud!
@@Reptiliatus mistakes can happen, no worries. If you hadn't been rehousing irminia at the beginning too, i might not have noticed it. Although you also mentioned the correct regular name 😜
I've been watching your vids for a while now and just a few days ago I got my first colony of powder orange isopods! I soon plan on getting a tarantula aswell
A conical drill works best for drilling weak plastics I actually use a lexan drill (non powered) it prevents burrs, tearing and makes perfectly round holes of different sizes
I like those jars for the aboreals. Some plastic enclosures are not that transparent. Would like to have such for a jumping spider. I was nervous to rehouse my adult P. machala, a huge lady. But it went quite smooth and I had her sitting on my hands for a while (but also wearing gloves), which was a cool experience. Guess I would not be scared to rehouse her again, but that won't be necessary, since her enclosure is really big enough now. The next challenge will rather be to rehouse my bolty juvenile GBB.
So I wanna get my first Tarantula, however I dont want to get a new world because of the urticating hairs. I have experienced these hairs, and they are not fun, plus allergies make it much worse. I had to go to hospital because I obtained bad urticaria (hives). What species do you think is good? I dont mind aggressive species, since I will not handle at all. Im thinking suntiger or togo starburst, what do yalls think??? Also I will be getting a very small animal to start off with, juveniles. Ive had wolfspider babes before, and I feel confident enough to keep a small one. I want it to be pretty, and easy to keep.
Join fb groups like The Tarantula Community and The Tarantula Collective and learn everything you can. Both of those species are wicked fast and have fairly potent venom, and while not handling them is good, most of your issues are gonna happen during a rehouse. Make sure you are ready and take all the precautions you can until you get very comfortable. OR: keep other inverts like mantids or scorpions or hissers! Good luck!
Can you post more on bearded dragons because I watched your old video on your bearded dragon and I’m getting a Bearded dragon soon and I’ve been watching a lot of videos about with them and if you see this comment I love your content
I'm so sorry! Unfortunately I don't own beardies anymore but my friend Elias has a great channel with beardies! ruclips.net/channel/UCenQ3g19eNiIowcsQocFn5g

Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching! ☺️
I've recently started watching your channel, loving the content! I've only just got my first T but you are already inspiring me to get another!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Means a lot! Do it!
I have a Dremel, but I use my soldering iron to ventilate enclosures - it leaves smoother edges. Beautiful animals!
I use soldering iron too. Works well. 👍

@@fartingpickle7255 ouch!
On the air holes, make sure the inside surface is smooth, any jagged edges could injure the new occupant
Thanks for the tip! I scratch them out before adding the animals :).
Such a pleasant video to watch. You talk to kindly to your animals.
Thank you very much!
you made thst look effortless .a joy to watch
Years of practice haha! Thank you!
You handle those spiders so well. Very professional
Thank you kindly 🙏🏼
Congratulations on 50k! You are definitely one of my favorites 😉
Thank you so much! ☺️🙏🏼🎉
That P. Irminia attaching itself to your paintbrush made me laugh out loud. Easiest transfer ever.
Yea that was lucky for sure! Good thing it was a paintbrush so it didn’t harm her fangs :)
Another awesome video. Yeah I love tarantulas. ❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍
Thank you! ☺️🙏🏼
You have so many tarantulas wow,
I love them! :)
Watching this as I am currently working on rehousing my toad..definitely helped pass the time of carving her new terrarium background. 😂 Loved it.
Awesome! Good luck! Thank you!
I love tarantulas
Me too!
I can’t be the only one, that every time a T makes a break for it - yells FREEDOM in their head?! Just me then......
Tessa Hawkins I refuse lol! No way 😅. Thanks for watching!

Nice video thank you!
Thank you for watching !
At 17:00, isn't that P. cambridgei instead of P. irminia?
You are absolutely correct! I just noticed that now 😅! So embarrassing!

Thank you! ☺️

Thank you! That's awesome! If you don't have one I'd recommend an Acanthoscurria geniculata! Amazing animals!
@@Reptiliatus thanks

Years of experience xD forgets waterdish + water, T makes a run for it.. loved it xD
Goes to show we all make silly mistakes! 😉😅! Thanks for watching!

My P Irminia female Aurora is quite chill however, you never know what her temperment will be after her next molt, she might be a serial killer. 😆
Great rehouse video. I'll be doing the same soon.
Thanks so much! Good luck!
