My heart is melting we need more people like this im dissabled and have learning dissabilities and autism but im high functioning so people dont realise that for me to exercise I'd need someone like this and I didn't think people like this existed I actually want to cry a little I'm so touched and its nice to know people think this way and care so much I wish more places had someone like him
High/ low functioning labels are so outdated we don't need to label ourselves as better or worse than other autistic 0eople we're all just autistic

I've trained at martial arts academies where we've encouraged people with LD and worked with them to their abilities but this guy does it FOR FREE!

If the gym in my area had a dude like that I would go because he;s not one of those guys who makes you feel like shit for not being photoshop perfect...
This guy reminds me of something my first mentor (geriatric nurse) told me about working with elderly and disabled people: Don't expect people to be where you want them to be. You have to meet people where they are, wherever that might be.
I'm a martial arts/fitness coach. I'm gonna start doing this too. I feel like a fool for not thinking of it sooner, but as of right now, I've been inspired.

Just watched how beautiful this young man is. An absolutely brilliant person to embrace so many people who have all sorts of disabilities but treat them with respect, kindness and support. Definitely a champion! Thanks Russell Howard for champion this guy.

I’m disabled and cannot go to gym because it’s loud and the equipment can be confusing for me, if someone could figure out how to clone people he should be number one on the list! I really hope his gym can be a chain
Yeah! I couldn't cope going to a gym because I can't do with being around lots of people, or the loud environment and my joint issues mean that the equipment is more likely to cause dislocations than help. Would love it if there was something where you could have someone come to your house and work with what you have access to at home. My biggest issue with exercise is that all the videos and stuff just tell you to do a thing, but never really explain how to do that thing. Like sit ups. I can't do them. To get up from laying down I have to roll onto my side first, always have done my whole life. I've had people say to "tighten your stomach muscles" and supposedly that does it, but I do what I think is that and nothing happens. I must not be activating the correct muscles, but I don't know how to know how to activate the right ones. Like I will be thinking so damn hard and nothing happens. But weirdly if I lie at the edge of a bed with my head towards the floor (so bent back past "lying down flat") I can sit up from that, but I feel it in my back or sides of my back not front.
Amazing! Love this guy. You're really adding love and the quality of life to a whole slew of people that others will ignore our discount. Shine on! 😊
Protect this man at all cost, pray for this man at all times, encourage and uplift those he trains who love him so dearly, and my God, if there is means to fund a team of individuals of like mind and spirit, figure out where to get the money from; because what fertile ground he and his gym are to sow good seed.

This is so brilliant. Respecting what disabled people can do in a way that still doesn't discount their disabilities.
Love to see more of this kind of welcoming treatment in more places. Too many times I see focus on what things I can't do at places (I know it's for safety but it's nice to focus on the realistic positives too)

That's the kind of trainer I could probably do with in my life right now, 2.5+ years of long covid wrecked my leg muscles so much I received a blue badge a week ago. Only got my first car a year ago, can't live without it now, cycled virtually everywhere the 40+ previous years.

If there were people like this at the gym I wouldn't feel horrible about going. There's only one gym in my area and I was going but every time this blond perfect body girl would just stare at me the whole time one day comes up to me and gives me a card for a plastic surgen saying "you come in everyday and its not working clearly since you're still so fat so why not just go get lypo and come back once you look good"
It really hurt to hear that. It hurt even more when I found out she's one of the trainers and part owner of the place... I haven't gone back to the gym...
