Had the heritage 114 then traded in for 2020 road king 107. I do know the 114 pulls hard in 6th but that was a lighter bike. Very happy with my stage 2 107 haven’t looked back
I just bought a 2020 Street Glide Special with the 114, in Billiard Burgundy. I went from a 2004 Road King with the twin cam 88 to this new 114. Holy shit, what a difference! I absolutely love this bike!!! Couldn't be happier.
A properly tuned stage 1 107 is all anyone needs. Pulls hard enough to pull you off the seat. So much so that Im considering buying a backrest or step up seat. Street Bob 107 owner. 150 lb. rider. High flow intake, 2 into 1 V&H exhaust, FP3 tuner, custom map, autotuned and tweaks. If I weighed 175lb plus, would consider stage 2 or above. Not necessary for my riding style and weight. Can outpace my friends twin cams and keep up with an Indian Scout. Far more comfortable than a Scout and sounds 1000 times better.
I've ridden the 114 and 107 in the touring bikes and really didn't notice that much difference. I actually went with the Street Glide standard with the 107 because I like the chrome instead of the blacked out look. If they would have offered the 114 for an additional price over the 107 I doubt I would have paid the difference for it.
I've had the 2016 103, Road Glide special stage 1 twin cam. When I took it in for a 10,000 mi service I test rode the 2018 107 M8 Road glide could totally feel the difference. upgraded to 114 sump failure at 13,000. H D made it right after 3 months, so in the mean time I purchased the 2019 114 M8 Road Glide ultra upgraded to 117 blew that up at 13,000. HD made it right after 3 months. When I got it back after the rebuild I really liked the power because I didn't have to rev or pop the cluch just roll the throttle and I could burn out or wheelie no problem not to mention that it really came to life at 100 mph. Just traded in for a 2021 M8 Road Glide special snake venom and putting a stage 4 in it, just waiting for CA emissions on the tuner. The moral of the story is yes the 114 in a very different beast. That's my story and im sticking to it.
Another thing to think about.. is if you are like a lot of people buying Harleys, your likely going to change exhaust, tune, heavy breather …. If you think you want a 114 but the 107 suits your aesthetic vibe.. then your going to get more power on the 107… after you make the change. So it won’t be that far off from the 114
I try the fat boy 107 and 114 no difference, except 114 was noicer didn’t like that so I got me a 2020 low rider 107 because of the amazing maneuverability.
I have 114 on my Heritage and I don't regret it. Its not a big difference from the 107 but it was noticeable to me. I've also added a stage 2 and 2-1 pipes to bump its power up as well.
I have the stage 2 power cam with v&h big radius on my heritage. Sounds mean idling at a stop light lol but damn I came off a gsxr750 and even before I did the stage kit I was never not impressed with the 114
I rode the 107 Electra standard and the 114 street glide Milwaukee 8s back to back. The 107 on the Electra standard felt agile like a cat and really sporty! Didn’t get to interstate speeds though
M8 Fat Boy is my dream bike. Hopefully Ill own one in a few months. I specifically want the 114 for its higher compression ratio and avalible performance for Stage 2. With a CR480 cam, it'll make a crazy amount of torque and at least 110HP at the rear wheel. I cannot wait to get mine.
Just got the 107, and it’s more than I hoped for. I wasn’t sure about upgrading and dropping coin, but damn that all washed away once I went for my first rip around town.
Everyone in the comments talking about how a stage 2 or 3 107 being faster than a stock 114 is a moot point. None of them are really that fast until you put cams, big bore and headwork. Obviously along with the stage 1 parts to go with it. I had a fully built 110 that was dynoed at 117hp/118tq on a CVO superglide years ago and it ripped but was it "fast" by some standards not really once you have been on a 175hp+ bike that weighs just over 400lbs. So its all relative. Ride what you enjoy!
As a noob rider coming from a 883, I purchased a 21 FXBBS 114. I cannot compare to a 107. But I LOVE the 114 with the Screaming Eagle Stage 1. Yes, way different engine from 883 to 114, however the EVO engine has its quirks/perks I get that. Torque monster!!!!!!
I know that this video is a bit dated. In 2024, you really can't get a new 107 Harley. I have an Ultra Limited 114 and a Heritage 114. Both have Stage 2 Torque cams. The acceleration from a stop is crazy. My Heritage 114, especially, throws me into the back rest when I do a hard acceleration. I recently traded a Road Glide 114 (also with a Torque cam). A couple months ago, my wife and I were on the Road Glide. A Mustang GT pulled up next to me and guns his engine. I gunned mine. The light changed and as we raced away, I watched the GT in my rear view mirror. At the end of the street, we pulled off and chatted. He was amazed that I'd skunked him in the quarter mile. and was extra impressed that I'd done it when my wife on back! He wudda killed me, if we'd raced farther (especially when my torque limited capped my speed at ~110), but he couldn't touch my torque and thrust/weight in the quarter mile. The 114 is a really nice engine and it packs a lot of punch. A friend of mine has a 107 Heritage. if we're group riding and do a quick acceleration, he can't keep up. There is a noticeable difference between the 107 and 114 M8s. Does anyone 'need' a 114, or a 117, or a 121, or a 131? Of course not. But, if you enjoy the power and acceleration (either for fun, or to get you out of a jam), larger displacement is the way to go. Will I upgrade either of my Stage II 114s to a Stage III or IV. Very doubtful. But, that doesn't mean that I haven't thought hard about it.
I have just shy of 3,000 miles on my 21 FatBoy 114, it is the most fun and hard charging stock bike I have owned. I really enjoy how comfortable it is with such a low center of gravity! Loving this thing!!!
I had an 18 Fat Boy 114 and didn't like the engine. Seemed to pull nice, but lots of vibration, seemed like the motor mounts were loose, but they weren't. I later replaced it with a 2019 107 Road King and I LOVE the 107 way more than the 114. So smooth. Seems like the perfect engine to me. To be fair, my wife has a 2018 Heritage 114 and it seems a lot smoother than my FatBoy did. So, everyone's mileage will vary. Just how it seemed to me.
Interesting about the vibes. My 21 street bob is so much more fun to play with for me. I’m coming from a sportster, and a 08 crossbones with the twin cam 96. The 96 was fun, and I thought it had tons of power. But when I hopped on that M8 114....oh boy!!!!
@@m3talc0re agree with you, I have a 2019road glide 107 in china,I had try my friends 114,I couldn’t find the difference of them too. I used have a 103 road glide, the feeling is totally different with 107
@@huichen997 idk because I test rode a 107 (2020 fatboy) and then a 114 (2020 heritage) back to back and I noticed a difference when rolling on the throttle at 60+. It wasn't a huge difference but the 107 seemed like it took a little more to gain speed whereas the 114 that extra speed seemed to come on instantly. I'd honestly take either if the price is right because like I said, it's not a huge difference, but I'd definitely prefer the 114 over the 107.
Recently I had the opportunity to go back to back on a stock 114 (2020) road glide special vs stock 107 (2021) road glide standard 500+ miles each. The 114's torque difference is noticeable when rolling on throttle (passing for instance). I think the 114 "feels" a bit more effortless when underway and also from a standing start. If you are going to buy a Stock big Harley touring model and keep it that way - either one will do the job, with the 114 having a slightly muscular edge. But let's face it - Harley wants it's owners to invest in Harley performance parts to unlock the potential of both engines which have been hobbled by a combination of emissions and noise regulations - along with lower octane and engineered/"cleaner" pump fuel. For the several thousands of dollars and labor required to significantly increase base level torque and horsepower on both bikes - I think the budget minded rider may want to consider a Stage 3 - 107 as a better value. At some point Harley will succumb to the inevitable and offer its touring models with liquid cooled v-twins producing much higher power and torque in stock form. Heresy to us traditionalists but inevitable nonetheless. My guess is we will see air cooled displacement increases first on Stock models. 114 to 117 or greater on "specials" and 114 becoming the "standard" on touring models. Possibly larger stock displacement on CVO models.
How much would the stage 2 cost and I know everyone saying they don't notice the difference but I'm trying to decide between the 107 and the 114. But I want to save money of course but still want great performance. What do yall think I should do? I have an old 98 Harley fatboy now that has an 80 ci on it and gets up to 100 mph + i just want to know i got that power behind it before I get a road glide.
Difference between 107 and 114 is size of piston and size of crank/flywheel and right pin position on piston you can take a 107 up to 135 143 148 by changing the crank and jugs/pistons
I can use someone's input here on the Milwaukie 8 114. I'm really eyeballing the 2021 fat boy 114. But I hear different mixed reviews about the Milwaukee 8 114 engines. Are they reliable? It's a big investment and I really don't want to spend so much money buying it and then buying parts and doing repairs
Been wondering about changing my '17 RoadKing (107) over to a 114, but after going stage 2? ( Andrews 460 cam, thundermax ecm, Rhinehart 2/1, & Cobra high flow scoop)plus high flow oil pump,I think that I'll leave well enough alone. She's got all kinds of pep, and the flat spot in the mid range is nonexistent, not sure if an extra 7cu will be worthwhile.
107 with a cam and GOOD dyno tune all the way. The dif in price between the standard and special is the cost of a lot of mods. *and I like the chrome and full size engine guards and with my last bike .. all the extra shit that comes on the FLHR standard vs the stripped down special
I have a 107 and I've ridden a 114, I didn't find too much difference between the two, like most Harley's they don't really come to life until you take em up a few stages. I added a tuner, new cam, new air cleaner, exhaust and headpipe to really wake my bike up. Big bore is coming next!
Hi Mason Meyer, liked & Subscribed, great video, I saddle a 2020 Road Glide Special, stage 1, upgraded all lights, except headlight to Ciro 3D, upgraded suspension and stage 1 boom audio. Very content with my Shark❤, look forward to all your content, speed safe, ride hard, be Blessed, Aloha, Kenneth
I have a 107 street glide special and I can tell you flat out no difference what so ever. I have ridden my to Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana, Wisconsin from Michigan loaded saddlebags and tour pack with no issue. My prior Harley was a 96 cubic inch 2010 Road King with a gear cam kit. You don’t need a huge butt engine to enjoy riding.
It isn’t just the size of the motor, but the application. I own a Lowrider S with the 114 and I’ve spent some time on a Street Glide 107. The street glide feels like a Vespa scooter in comparison. The 114 in that application (Lowrider S) feels very muscular. The 107 on the Street Glide feels “adequate” but not impressive.
For someone who does between 15,000 to 20,000 miles a year on their motorcycle alone. Riding with 114 + 107 as well as being the rider of the 107 and 114 Motors. I can honestly say it is purely preference. The 114 will pull on the 107 in the higher gears that is it. Once you cam out the 114 is when you notice they're having ability to pull the 107 even in the lower gears. It's just by a little but it's definitely noticeable when you're riding amongst other Riders
Have you ever heard of a movie called the Terminator? that’s what made the previous generation Fat Boy one of the most recognized motorcycles in Harley History.
I have a 2018 Softail Slim with 107 pretty fast at 750 lb then I bought a 2019 Street Glide Special with a 114 850 lb the torque and speed is way better but the Softail Slim pretty fast with the 107
@@Jeff-ip4qg Stage 2 is an upgrade for the cam. In order to do it, you will need the stage 1 kit (New intake, exhaust, and tune) after which you can upgrade your cams for better torque, or overall power. Hope that helps
@Ark. I am tempted by the kit that over bores the stock cylinders to 117 and bumps compression to 11:1. Nothing wild but the dyno numbers are amazing and the price within reason
I bought a 19 Fatboy with the 107 -eagle 3 , it’s fast enough. Don’t know what cam but it struggles to crank and pops the Vance & Hines short shots ridiculously 😂
I'm on a 114 Breakout at the moment. Stock standard and amazingly responsive when you take off from the lights but nothing what my 97 cu inch Shovelhead couldn't do. The 114 is big enough with loads of unleashed horses in its gut. If you want more, drop in a bigger cam for a start to make it more efficient.
Damn dude, I'm not the best or most experienced rider by any means and I'm guilty of it from time to time but seems like you ride the middle of the lane quite a bit.
Numbers are not much different. Theyre Harleys, yes the M8 performs significantly better than the twin cam... but the difference between a 107 and 114 is not very noticeable. I just traded my 21FXLRS for a 23 Road Glide. Given that I had a 2-1 on my FXLRS and it weighs about 200-250lbs less compared to a stock 107 Road Glide i found a bit of a difference. Already ordered a high flow cleaner and 2-1 for the Road Glide. In the end, the difference will be a bit noticeable (mostly due to weight) but not drastic. Some people just have a real hard on over the displacement. If youre worried about performance that much, I suggest another brand. 🤷♂️
There's definitely a difference, however, you have to decide is the bump up worth it, for me yes, I got the 114 & bumped up to stage 2, so the difference is noticed. Ride safe!
I put 23k miles on my 17 road king 107 traded it in on a 20 road glide limited and i notice the difference pulling away from a stop the road glide leaves easier than the road king did even being 125 lbs heavier now its not faster but it is smoother at lower rpms.
I have been looking at some heritage classic models the first is a 2018 heritage, classic with the 107 and it has a little over 17k miles on it and the other one is 2021 heritage, classic with the 114 and it has a little over 7k miles on it and they want 19,000 and 107 with a little over 17k miles they want 15,000 which would be the better bike to purchase and I do ride with a passenger most of the time
All my trucker friends have upgraded to the 114. Why? Because it's a bigger number than 107. None of them can hang with my Yamaha raider that has a pipe and tune.
i dont know about the usa but in the uk you cant stage 1 the 114 i have a 107 with a stage 1 and the 114 cant pull away from me also there is some kind of limiter on the 107 because it wont go past 122mph i sopose the 114 has the same
I test rode the 2021 Street Bob 114 & a brand new 2020 Street Bob 107. I felt like the 114 was gonna work me to death doing my usual in town riding. The 114 has a clutch pull that is a b*ach. I decided that the Street Bob 107 was the better choice for my type of riding. 👍🏻
Just curious…. I have a 2017 road glide ultra and the specs via the VIN say I have the 107 Milwaukee eight. You said early in the video that it debuted in 2018??? What am I missing???
I have a 107 with a Stage II, TAB slip-ons, Bassani head pipe and Dyno'ed. I couldn't be happier. I've ridden a 114 and believe it to be a tiny bit "rougher" than the 107. The 117 I rode was the best of both worlds.
Whats the point. If you can already go over the speed limit by a great margin and you already can pull a trailer whats the point in paying for more power other than say look at me I got more power
6:15 My ex girlfriend’s uncle had a fat boy with different rims and a front fairing. It kept throwing me off cuz I never got close enough to know exactly what it was but he pulled up one day and I was like, “is that a fat boy?” Idk it’s weird cuz it was the gas tank that made me think it was a fat boy
Just bought a 2020 Softail Standard with 2k miles on it last week, previous owner put Screamin Eagle Stage I kit on it, the bike absolutely rips man. Looking at stock numbers, the 114 is barely any better. Comparing a Stage 1 107 to a stock 114, the 107 begins too edge out the 114.
And I say, buy 114 & add stage 2, faster than 107 with stage 3 😁. Just messing with you bro, it's all about the ride to me now. I got out the rat race (crotch rocket) 5 yrs ago.
Always loved my stock Fatboy 110. Guess I should see what the 114 is all about. Did have a low rider with a modified TC engine that I bought for my son whole he was being discharged from the army. I did not like riding it. Always throwing my head back & it was a hang onto the bars experience at every red light/stop sign. Son didn't like it either & traded for a V rod. Moral of the story is it can be easy to over do something to the point of ruining a good ride.
A staged 107 doesn’t create as much heat as 114? The 107 is a good reliable motor? I have a 93 with the EVO, stage 4. Plenty of power. Runs about 150 degrees. Added a small extra oil cooler. Just asking. Now Harley will be made in China. Taiwan. Part of China. NOT USA New bikes are soooo expensive. Friend just got a 24 Road Glide $49,000 Ouch And now upgrades $$$$$$$ Looks like I must go used.
Yeah you right. Honesty I had the idea sort of last second and had ridden a couple 107s that day and did the 114 half. I have plans for a proper head to head to replace this video. Thanks for the honesty
Lmao, Yep, they are slow compared to the Victory, especially a stage 1 or 2 kit on one! HD oil sumping on those 107/114 engines was a big problem also.
I went from a softail slim with a 107 to a street glide special with the 114. I definitely feel the difference. The 114 is smoother over all when cruising and does not jerk when riding slower in 1 st gear.
I love how you started the honest ride and review with being honest about not being in the right place to do it. Read the specs people. Its a far superior comparison than this . .
Dude, great information, Well informed. unfortunately your camera work needs help. If your going to wear the camera on your helmet you should move your head more slowly, all the quick side to side movements and quickly looking down is just painful to watch. Maybe you should wear a chest harness for the camera. I only made it 7 minutes in before my head hurt too much from all the sudden movements. Have a great day.
I'm currently on a FLSS with the screamin 110. I went and test rode both a 107 and 114 in a road king. I'll try to keep this as short as possible. The 107 out of the dig is awesome. Great get up and go. The 114 out of the dig is good, but not as good as the 107. Now with that said, when you roll into that thing in 3rd and 4th gear, it takes off like a rocket. The 114 is going to be a great highway bike. No need to downshift for passing. The 107 would be a great "bar hopper". I am stuck with the decision right now as I am about to buy a bagger. I've been looking at the specials (114), but have really thought about doing an electra glide standard as it gives me almost 10 grand to do what I want to to the bike. Even something like a T-Man stage 2. A 2 into 1 with cams, breather and tune could have that 107 flying like a fighter jet down the road.
What amazes me to this day is that Harley still uses single front discs. Honda cruisers? Yes single state of the art front disc and about 200lbs less weight. I’m looking at a new Harley, my second one. I’m old now and need something slow and with nice pipes. I’m not going to go fast in the canyons anymore just slo and loud that’s how I roll.
I don’t keep my motors stock. Probably would do a screaming eagle kit so getting the 114 would be dumb for someone like me. Also I’d rather have the chrome over the black so there’s that.
Without a biased Harley dealer opinion. After break in period, hands down wouldn't get a 107. My buddy had a 107, great until he wanted more. 107, to 124. I rode and helped with the build. My opinion as a mechanic prior (still just not for civilians anymore 🤣) out the gate not really, down the line depends what you want in a engine. It is all meaningless because it's all personal preference. The torque, noticeable, the horsepower, noticeable down the line. Too much to really go into on a RUclips video
I tested a Fatboy. Hated it. With the foot boards the lean angle was terrible. I have a 2018 Fatbob 114. Far better bike that you can actually carve some twisties on. The Fatboy is just boring compared to the Fatbob.

How's your bike treating you now? Any problems overheated oil slump?I'm looking at the same year
I had an 18 Fat Boy 114 and didn't like the engine.
I've had both of them in Street Glides and honestly I couldn't tell the difference.
Nobody would. Anyone who says they can tell the difference is lying or just THINKS they can tell.
You’re last paragraph has been the practice for decades, I’m sure they’ll continue that practice.
Harley already offers liquid cooling in 114 RG Limited...just bought one!
@@joemacdonald6213 - good to know! Ride safe!
Does this bike have air ride suspension?
How much would the stage 2 cost and I know everyone saying they don't notice the difference but I'm trying to decide between the 107 and the 114. But I want to save money of course but still want great performance. What do yall think I should do? I have an old 98 Harley fatboy now that has an 80 ci on it and gets up to 100 mph + i just want to know i got that power behind it before I get a road glide.
Difference between 107 and 114 is size of piston and size of crank/flywheel and right pin position on piston you can take a 107 up to 135 143 148 by changing the crank and jugs/pistons
A Cam, pipe, and tune in either one runs great. Or 124”/ 128” and have a monster. Can’t lose. Ride and enjoy!
7 cu's? Nope. You already got a beast. No need to waste money.
107 with a cam and GOOD dyno tune all the way.
The dif in price between the standard and special is the cost of a lot of mods.
*and I like the chrome and full size engine guards and with my last bike .. all the extra shit that comes on the FLHR standard vs the stripped down special
Yes I would like to see a review on the 131ci
I have a 107 and I've ridden a 114, I didn't find too much difference between the two, like most Harley's they don't really come to life until you take em up a few stages. I added a tuner, new cam, new air cleaner, exhaust and headpipe to really wake my bike up. Big bore is coming next!
Unless you start digging you can only go to 114 from 107... however if you have a 114 you can go way up in the sizes
@@CHIM601 not true, you can go to 124 from a 107 with a big bore kit
You actually can go to a 128 zippers Performance has it straight drop in
@@CHIM601 not true. I went 107 -> 128 under factory Harley-Davidson warranty
I guess it depends if your motor stays together.
The lowrider S should have been a 117 next year maybe
Yeah I mentioned that in my Fat Boy video!
114 is about 5k difference in price then 107 , if you do a big bore kit on the 107 , You still spend less then the 114 and you have more motor
Bought my '21 Street Bob from Tally-HD. Great bunch of folks.
I'm about to stage 2 my 107. Power cam.
Did you can it and what did you go with and are you happy with cammed 107 ?
I have a 2018 Softail Slim with 107 pretty fast at 750 lb then I bought a 2019 Street Glide Special with a 114 850 lb the torque and speed is way better but the Softail Slim pretty fast with the 107
114 and 107 have different stroke and bottom ends. Where did you come up with this information for this video?
I honestly just made a bunch of stuff up. I don’t even ride motorcycles
Road both standard and special went with street special little extra torque, plan to do stage 2 torque.
I’m fine with the 107. If I decide I need more I can always do the stage 2
What does stage 2 mean?
Is the oil problem fixed
20+ years ago, thanks for asking :)
All touring specials are gonna come with 114 or 117
There's definitely a difference, however, you have to decide is the bump up worth it, for me yes, I got the 114 & bumped up to stage 2, so the difference is noticed. Ride safe!
Is the 107 good for new riders?
Yes!
I put 23k miles on my 17 road king 107 traded it in on a 20 road glide limited and i notice the difference pulling away from a stop the road glide leaves easier than the road king did even being 125 lbs heavier now its not faster but it is smoother at lower rpms.
It’s not 125 pounds heavier. It’s 25 pounds heavier. Do you even have a bike? Your full of shit.
I have been looking at some heritage classic models the first is a 2018 heritage, classic with the 107 and it has a little over 17k miles on it and the other one is 2021 heritage, classic with the 114 and it has a little over 7k miles on it and they want 19,000 and 107 with a little over 17k miles they want 15,000 which would be the better bike to purchase and I do ride with a passenger most of the time
Real review with actual facts🤝 thank you.
All my trucker friends have upgraded to the 114. Why? Because it's a bigger number than 107. None of them can hang with my Yamaha raider that has a pipe and tune.
i dont know about the usa but in the uk you cant stage 1 the 114 i have a 107 with a stage 1 and the 114 cant pull away from me also there is some kind of limiter on the 107 because it wont go past 122mph i sopose the 114 has the same
I've got a ultra limited 107 stage 2 lots of power. I live in tally too lol
Once the stage 2 and/or 3 is done ..it's negligible...
Damn your in Tallahassee??
I was! Relocated to South Dakota last July.
@@TheTwoWheeledTeacher oh OK was gonna say let's ride sometime but nevermind I guess ha ha 😂 south Dakota is a different world I've heard
You say the 107 is like a 4 cylinder car and the 114 is like a 6 cylinder car? Um, no. All big v twins are like 8 cylinder cars.
Lol ok Geoff
He's never been on a beefy bike. LOL
Beefy bike was my nickname in college
It’s not the stroke that accounts for the increase in displacement but rather the bore size.
Thank you for the correction!
Actually bore and stroke are slightly increased in the 114
Correct, but Harley doesn’t always bore and stroke motors out to get more displacement. Sometimes they do one or the other
Do it ...131
You want power torque go for Indian or victory also they have good brakes factory stock and handle excellent 👍
Where would you need to get to faster????? The 107 has no problem breaking the speed limit.
Great info thank you
Softail has taller final gear although they are lighter than the touring models
Twincam 103 with a Zipper's 107 kit has more hp than a m8 107,114 and 117.
Just curious…. I have a 2017 road glide ultra and the specs via the VIN say I have the 107 Milwaukee eight. You said early in the video that it debuted in 2018??? What am I missing???
The M8 came on the Touring line in 2017 and on Softail line in 2018 if I remember correctly !
You’re easily impressed. I found a difference but hardly a big one. Bought the 107.
I have a 107 with a Stage II, TAB slip-ons, Bassani head pipe and Dyno'ed. I couldn't be happier. I've ridden a 114 and believe it to be a tiny bit "rougher" than the 107. The 117 I rode was the best of both worlds.
lol
Buy the 107 and do a stage 3 kit. Faster than the stock 114
In that same comparison I’d the same thing to the stock 114 and see that difference
And I say, buy 114 & add stage 2, faster than 107 with stage 3 😁. Just messing with you bro, it's all about the ride to me now. I got out the rat race (crotch rocket) 5 yrs ago.
So jumping to stage 3 will get me close to the 114?
I got a 2018 fatboy 107 what else can you recommend me on more torque
NOT USA
New bikes are soooo expensive. Friend just got a 24 Road Glide $49,000
Ouch
And now upgrades $$$$$$$
Looks like I must go used.
I thought this was a true comparison of a 107 and 114...you just rode the 114...
Yeah you right. Honesty I had the idea sort of last second and had ridden a couple 107s that day and did the 114 half. I have plans for a proper head to head to replace this video. Thanks for the honesty
😂😂😂😂
I thought it was going too be life changing power difference lol
Love too race one with my victory
Lmao, Yep, they are slow compared to the Victory, especially a stage 1 or 2 kit on one! HD oil sumping on those 107/114 engines was a big problem also.
I went from a softail slim with a 107 to a street glide special with the 114. I definitely feel the difference. The 114 is smoother over all when cruising and does not jerk when riding slower in 1 st gear.
I love how you started the honest ride and review with being honest about not being in the right place to do it. Read the specs people. Its a far superior comparison than this . .
Most who walk into a dealership already know what they want. It’s a matter of your height.
M8 is a dog on the low end. my buddy's 107 smoked it from the start but not on the long end. the dyna lowrider s 110 twin cam smokes the 114
It is worth it 👌
Dude, great information, Well informed. unfortunately your camera work needs help.
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely think about that on the next one.
There’s not that much difference. Believe your exaggerating a little. Tune a stage 1 107 and it pulls harder than a stock 114.
What if you tune the 114?
@@romanharrell3562 You gain that little back. Only a small displacement difference, nothing more.
Mil 8 out in 2017
What amazes me to this day is that Harley still uses single front discs. Honda cruisers? Yes single state of the art front disc and about 200lbs less weight. I’m looking at a new Harley, my second one. I’m old now and need something slow and with nice pipes. I’m not going to go fast in the canyons anymore just slo and loud that’s how I roll.
Just put stage 2 in the 107.
Beauty mate
I don’t keep my motors stock. Probably would do a screaming eagle kit so getting the 114 would be dumb for someone like me. Also I’d rather have the chrome over the black so there’s that.
114 > 107 .... 😅
This video could have been half this length.
Yeah but they pay better as revenue the longe r they are
I never liked fatboys or heritage ..or baggers..my 09 comstomized superglide is the cats meow!
Most say they don't even feel or sound like a true Harley. More like a Honda. Harleys are more V twin!
I tested a Fatboy. Hated it. With the foot boards the lean angle was terrible. I have a 2018 Fatbob 114. Far better bike that you can actually carve some twisties on. The Fatboy is just boring compared to the Fatbob.
Unless you and a buddy are riding the 107 and 114 side by side, you are just wasting people’s time with 12 minutes of yapping.
That’s for the view, big guy!
Pretty simple money talks no matter what you have there's always something faster
