Arijit Singh is an Indian playback singer. He sings predominantly in Hindi and Bengali but has also performed in various other Indian languages. Singh began his career when he participated in the contemporary reality show, Fame Gurukul in 2005, and was discovered by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Kumar Taurani.

is this hindi or urdu? loved every single words/translation. so freaking beautiful just makes me tear up!!!
@@ndorje it's hindi though urdu words r used . Urdu is frequently used otherwise also in Sufi music n it's mostly intermixed with day to day hindi use . I do not know urdu however still we use a lot of Urdu words in daily conversations n in similar way the song is in hindi but weaved with beautiful urdu lyrics/ words as well .

It is nothing but miracle !!!!!!
He is not a trained singer but gives performance and sing. He is actually a very good music composer and lyrist, he can write song also. His music and Lyrics of song were such that every one captivated. There are some songs not sang by him. All legend singers who sang those songs and actors are sitting and cheering for him. He is liked by everyone because of his music composition and lyrics and he since he has music knowledge he can sing too casually.
What do you mean by "He is not a trained singer"? Please do a little more research then you will come to know about his training in different forms of Indian music. Arijit received formal musical training by the Hazari Brothers at the mere age of three. He has three musical Gurus. Rajendra Prasad Hazari taught him Indian Classical Music. Dhirendra Prasad Hazari taught him tabla. Birendra Prasad Hazari taught him Rabindra-Sangeet and Adhunik Bangla gaan (Modern Bengali Song). He even earned a scholarship for vocal training in classical music at the age of nine.
The lyrics to this song are also incredibly beautiful. IMO this is one of the most beautiful songs in Indian cinema.

It's a hard work of 16 years , he was gave odition in singing compition show but in 2nd round he was out , he worked hard on his voice , and rest is history now ,he is one of the best singer of india all time . And the best voice of india.

He is out because of contestant voting he is no 1 singer in that show even judges said that due to some problem he is out from fame gurukul i saw all episodes of that show
