So an ayat is a verse in the holy Quran (religious book of the muslims). The Quran is in arabic and is so beautiful sounding and soul touching. ibaadah/ibaadat (arabic/urdu) means worshiping god. Muslims use this word all over the world most say ibaadah which is how it is pronounced in arabic but a lot of muslims in Pakistan and india say ibaadat.
