    Suggestion for: 8:15 and 9:30 - For those who don't want to add new and new overlays from Streamelements, you can just click on the widget from the overlay you are configuring (clock and viewers widget) and then click on the option called "Duplicate" (it's the square button right at the top of the widget list, next to the trash can button) and select "Other Overlay". From there, you just need to choose the overlay you already have and it's done. All your widgets in just one overlay.

  • @CodyMerritt

    You put in a ton of effort to build a beautiful overlay, and then you make a video about it and give it away for free!? You sir are a streaming saint! Thank you!!!

  • @charlay6927
    @charlay6927 4 года назад +22

    Nutty in StreamElements you can duplicate one overlay into another. So for example if you wanted to add your metrics to the same source as the sideways chat, you just need to press the icon with two boxes whilst you are editing the overlay, and then you can copy it to another overlay and they will be all together, so you can just add one source in OBS.

I used to stream a couple years ago and had to put it on the back burner for awhile (life happens) but i was tossing the idea of getting back into it slowly to see if it's still something i'd want to do. And these videos are a great way for me to get back into it and test the waters so to speak without spending a bunch of money. So thank you very much and keep up the good work!!

    You can quickly add a widget to another overlay by selecting the widget in the Layers list and selecting duplicate. This will give you a pop-up where you can duplicate it to an existing overlay. Good video as always!

    if you want to move the custom widget into another overlay and delete that scene, when you click 'Settings' on the widget in that overlay it installs, clik the 'Open Editor' and copy each tad into a document with their own section, and then save it. this way you can save the code if the dev haven't posted it to github. When ever you need it on a scene then just add your own custom widget and paste each section that you saved before into the proper tab and save it and then you have the widget on that overlay.
    What i do i that i have a scene filled with custom widgets i find useful, and then when ever i need one i just go to that scene and duplicate it to the scene i need it :)

    Hi, really cool tutorial, practical and useful, I also like the fact that you first show the result and then explain, I'm tired of RUclipsrs doing a bunch of explaining before showing what the result is going to be, and at the end it's a waist of time, the result s**ks, but with this tutorial I saw the end result so I new I wanted to stay for the whole video. Great job.
