I'm glad u mentioned about fighting in a squared stance - that's one thing I could never understand about the mook jong (wing chun wooden dummy) - my home made one has 'arms" longer than mine - if it have short stubby arms, you'll practice fighting square.
A boxing match is not an mma match or a kung fu match. This art style when mastered match’s the mastery of any style. Great lesson from a great and dedicated instructor. The details of the lesson are highly valuable and cross over to not just other martial arts but sports, business, life in general. *Remaining relaxed with the ability to adapt. *Balance, control, understanding where your movements are weaker and stronger.

I like the attempts at modernizing but it needs to evolve so much more. You have to get rid of that initial touch point, because nobody, but nobody, but nobody does that. When engaging, it's about figuring out distance and closing the gap. A fighter that just lets you in that close so you can touch deserves to lose. Also, that "shot" was one of the worst. Who in their right mind tucks their head in the armpit for an immediate guillotine?
the 1st touch there is a good training point as an index. of course its not where you hang out looking for openings to attack. you might react off of it during some clinch or transitory range
@Handsome790 dan Inosanto? 🤣 the Bruce Lee students who never understood JKD?? Bruce Lee was stripping NOT adding, so why did Inosanto go against JKD principles of simplicity and directness and start adding a bunch of shit tighter that had completely different structure and body mechanics and don’t mesh together at all? Do you even know who Ted Wong is? Dan Inosanto wasn’t Bruce Lee’s only students you know. What about Jesse Gloves? Do you know who that is? In fact do you know anything about JKD or Bruce Lee you haven’t been told from Inosanto? Have you ever actually looked at what Bruce Lee did? How he trained? Do you even know what he was doing in the 70’s? No. You don’t know anything other than what’s you’ve had forged into your parrot brain regurgitating information you’ve not even done any research on yourself. Inosanto doesn’t teach or underhand JKD. He never did. This is why all you muppets think JKD is wing chun or thai boxing or whatever crap you think it is. It isn’t any of those things.
@@fromthegamethrone That's too extreme. In an ideal situation the defense is ingrained in the offence, but fighting is not an ideal situation and you might need to block.
If Wing Chun is based on economy of motion, h'es gonna have to work on his technique cos my guy is sweating and panting like he just did a marathon after a few Pak saos 😭😭😭
Predicating on the opponent using the same wing chun 'touching forearms' fighting stance and most probably useless against the shuffling style of mma and boxing
When a guy is challenging me I stand with my hands gripping my t-shirt collar . Anything more connected is too close to a fight. This move makes YOU the first punch and therefore YOUR the one going to jail after this fight
Why are you angled on the right side? Why are you stepping with your toes? Why is your step so wide? Why is your wrist on the outside gates and not the inside? Idk what he is teaching, but it's not wing tsun...
No point of contact in a real fight, wont work in a real fight, etc smh, theres many points of contact in a real fight. Will it be between two men, perfectly squared up, touching wrist till one strikes, prob. Not, but many fights where points arent awarded, theres posturing, ppl in each others faces where this position becomes a real fight situation, take for example the mouthpiece is in your face talking smack, poking your chest with his finger as he does so, you raise your hand to ward off the poking finger and that quick , there it is, or maybe an attacker had your wrist and you slip free and attack from there. There are so many other examples, the reason for repetative practice like this in training is two fold, one, its a controlled environment which minimizes injury while allowing you to learn timing/distancing and two, it creates muscle memory, or unconcious conciousness so you dont have to think it out, like tying your shoes. Weve done that so many times as adults that we can stop, bend and tie all while looking at something else, talking to someone, and tie it without thinking about it. But a child just learning cannot.
Great now do the Pak Da on a boxer who isn't doing chi Sao. Sorry but wing Chun ideas work in a fucking vacuum. Chi gerk can be tricky but a wild hook breaks a tan da, even a fuk da. Like have you tried a pak da on someone throwing a combination of punches? It's not so easy.
you are teaching not your own art, this is called copying! a blasphemy to the whole human race. why not focusing on your own art as well, this is called, the principle of focus 🙄
In boxing thow. How u going to make contact and do that. It's near impossible
Wow it’s good to know I’ve been doing this right. This entire time can’t wait to talk you in person again at the Texas retreat Sigung.

I love it i love i love it! The demonstration plus the explanation. AWESOME.
This is pure nonsense, one faint shot from a Boxer, this Wing Chung man wouldn't see the light of day.

Cool. Now show an example of how this was successfully implemented in UFC.
It happens all the time. It happens so fast the human eye can't see it
I think one of an example was when tony Ferguson hand trapped Pettis' right hand and elbow pettis at the temple.
Only someone who does not know martial arts would say something this stupid.

It just a refined version of parry. And I am not greatly impressed by mma guys. If you want to follow them and like lemmings feel free
Thank you

No different parry. Also its a drill. You would not say the same thing if he was doing boxing and hitting pads

You've never seen a fighter move opponents guard and strike simultaneously 🤦🏾♂️
Garbage get smashed by anyone with real training
All of this is outdated. This is stuff Bruce Lee himself threw away and stopped doing. I don’t know why these guys continue to do these things.

I Would argue that Pak Sau is not a defensive action at all. It's a motion that aids an attack or can be turned into an attack itself.
Agreed - I was always taught there is no defense.

It looks good in slow motion but in real lofe people are moving fast
Up for a fight just to find out if it really works...
This JKD, not Wing Chun
Come in like that on any body with skill and you are getting a left on the button before you do anything.
So you are saying parry dont work then
