I have a V8 Ford school bus and a 5th gen 4 runner with 33s. Nobody is better at coasting than me. I try my best not to use gas or brakes in city traffic or let the RPM go above 2,000. If i could, I would hook a sail up to these trucks and let the wind push them.
I don’t know what size your factory tires are, but assuming 30-31” tall tires that most come with, the 35” tires are ~12% bigger so you add 12% of the mileage you went. 265+12%=296 so you actually went almost 300 miles and should be closer to 17 mpg.
It did rub bad at first but its not so bad now. You will need an aggressive chop, and SPC upper control arms really help since they're adjustable. You can get by without a relocation
Dang man, I get that with my 2023 trd offroad 3 inch lift and 33 inch tires.
Good job man. Cool truck.
Ignore the haters
hell yea brother
Chill set up
Nice city slicker rig
That’s actually crazy, I’m getting barely 11mpg with 33s and bed cap, there’s no way. My fuel light comes on at 195 miles of driving
Yeah it’s pretty sus

exactly! that's the key. for the most part I stay at 2000 RPM's or less even with 35s
Did you end up regearing?
Did you reprogram the truck to know it had 35s? I believe that affects the mileage read out.
Maybe, its not tuned yet but it shouldn't be off by much

@@NativeDescentthat's basically factory 😂 with 35s I doubt it but I could be wrong
Do you rub with those 35s? I was told I may need a CMC if I want to run them

Did you calibrate your wheels to the odometer? I have 35s and I calc 18 mpg
@@davidtcgroupr no actually I haven't
Truck looks good big guy
I guess you live in the city or you clean her every evening
Hard staying that clean out in the rural areas 😂
@@ThisOldYota correct
That’s not great bud. I have Silverado v8 5.3- 4:56 gears on 35s my average is 13.5 mpg
You put 35's on with no gear change? That should make not only your mileage suck but you've also lost horsepower and torque.
@@sonny1597 its terrible. Re-gearing is a must
Yea I get the same check engine and Trac off light on my 2012 TRD, it comes and goes though, so... 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
