    Pumpkin Spice is the spices that go in pumpkin pie not the pumpkin itself.
    We don't have black currant flavored stuff here. It was banned decades ago because currants were found to be an invasive species. You might find something flavored with it now since I believe the ban was lifted but it would be hard to find.

    • @CezandGaz
      @CezandGaz  9 дней назад +2

      I see, probably why it was similar to the churro flavour we have tried in the past!
      That’s interesting about blackcurrant flavouring! Similarly, we don’t often get grape flavoured items in the UK 😮. Thank you for watching!

    Don't hang out driving in the left lane. It is illegal in some states, and it is also the passing lane.

    • @CezandGaz
      @CezandGaz  9 дней назад +5

      Thank you! Maybe it was the edit but I was using that lane for overtaking! It’s the same rule in the UK (but mirrored of course lol)

      In heavy populated areas like California you can drive in the left lane. Just depends on the individual states rules.

    Small bugs or seeds can be devastating to our eco systems so our Airport security don't play when it comes to any food items coming into the USA. Don't take losing that sandwich personal. 🤣
    Enjoy the USA 🇺🇸, but pay attention to the roads. Our State Troopers and Sheriffs are notorious for hiding in plain SIGHT.
    The fun in roadtrips are the RANDOM roadside attractions and museums. So have fun!!

    That weird vehicle you passed looked like a straddle carrier. It's used for carrying shipping containers. They're common in ports, but not on highways.
    There is such a thing as blue corn, and some tortilla chips are made from it. But those Takis were artificially colored.
    I doubt that was a blackcurrant Skittle. The flavor isn't popular in the U.S. It was probably grape flavored. American grape-flavored candies and sodas are made to taste like Concord grapes, a variety that isn't common in the U.K.

    Blue corn chips are made from blue corn. Corn comes in many different colors and this colorful corn is commonly called Indian corn. Indian being another name for native Americans. This corn can be red, black, brown, blue and many other shades. It is used in Southwestern and Mexican cooking. Of course, the common corn is yellow in America. All types of corn are used for tortillas and tortilla chips.
    If any of you know some Spanish, it will come in handy while ordering in Mexican restaurants, because all the dishes have Spanish names and we Americans tend to use the Spanish pronunciation when ordering.
    We do the same with French names in Louisiana. We prefer to keep all the native pronunciations of place names and foods.

    in the usa there is 2 kinds of pig in a blanket depending on where you are from. east coast would be sausage wrapped in pancake i belive. in northern California it can ether be breakfast sausage wrapped in pancakes or for lunch hotdog wrapped in a pastry type dough. was very confusing for me growing up because my grandparents pig in a blanket was cabbage leaves stuffed with a rice and minced pork meat in a tomato sauce. which was very good to. my grandpa on my dads side was German and his wife was Russian.

    If you want the best example of American food, you would want to go to a restaurant that has Three Michelin Stars; that's the highest honor that Michelin can bestow upon a restaurant. There are 30 such restaurants in France (Michelin is of course the French tire company), nine in the UK, and 13 in the USA. Five of them are in my area, the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm on the other side of North America from NYC; it's a five or six hour flight. (HSR would still take 14 hours. There are several normal speed trains that cross the country, they take about two or three days to cross the country. But it's luxurious, you can get your own room with your own toilet and shower. And three square meals per day are included in the price if you get a room, with more food available for a price, and there's a car with swivel chairs pointed outward toward huge windows. 🙂)
    There are four Three Michelin Star restaurants in NYC:
    Eleven Madison Park -- 11 Madison Ave., New York, 10010, USA
    Le Bernardin -- 155 W. 51st St., New York, 10019, USA
    Per Se -- 10 Columbus Circle, New York, 10019, USA
    Masa -- 10 Columbus Circle, New York, 10019, USA
    That's the best food you could possibly get in New York City, by the standards of the French. 🙂

    Americans are inevitably accused of eating hamburgers morning, noon and night, and only wake up so we can gorge on more hamburgers. This belief is buried quite deep in European cultures where it's always fashionable to criticize anything American, and the first thing trotted out is our slave, master relationship to the hamburger. Yes, yes, yes, your oh so right; we stand guilty as a people, and wear this dreadful fact around our necks like an anchor, in the shape of a hamburger. There, the British, and French have both been satisfied. To the British, who know their ship doesn't stink, to Monsieur Savoir Faire, who generously congratulates himself every day for being French, therefor able to eat the best food in the world daily. But, do Americans eat anything else? The answer may surprise some who are entrenched behind the characcature of Americans. For starters our population is composed of people from all corners of Europe, and they brought all their favorite recipes with them. That was just the first wave of immigration, as millions upon millions from around the world have come, and brought their dishes with them too. So yes we eat hamburgers, but probably enjoy a greater variety of dishes than you'll find in most countries. That being said, I think I'll fire up the could and bar b que some ribeyes tonight, and use some Rudies bar b que sauce I got in San Antonio.

    That place wasn’t Waffle House! It was a Waffle SHOP! Beware:
    Waffle Houses are TOILETS compared to the place you went to. So if you see a Waffle House, don’t expect it to be the same thing!
    Food is cheap and decent, but they’re all filthy, service is terrible, and most of the clientele just got out of prison.

    Did you know that the Twinkies you ate are not made by the original Hostess company. Hostess went bankrupt several years ago because nobody was buying their products since they are unhealthy. Keep in mind that Americans love them some unhealthy food but apparently Twinkies didn't taste good enough. All of its assets were bought by another company, including the rights to the names, branding, recipes and factory equipment to make Twinkies and all the other Hostess products. That company even changed their name to Hostess. Then, last year, that company was bought by The J.M. Smucker Company, a company known for producing jelly/jams.
    So, you ate a Smucker owned, fake branded Hostess, Twinkie made on second hand equipment using third party recipes in somebody else factory. How's that make them taste now?

      You don’t know what you’re talking about.
      Twinkies were always best-sellers. The parent company had other financial problems related to other products and management in general.
      It had ZERO to do with healthy eating habits.
