One of my favorite dota memories was Slacks was in a random pub I played in 2015 I was carry Sven and I forget what hero he was but the highlight of the game was me and him dived t3s at 15 minutes to get a kill and we got the kill but both died and we both laughed maniacally over the in game mic.

The -armor's actually really good when paired with other heroes that can reduce it like CK, Alch, or Naga. On its own you don't really notice it that much but when stacked with other reduction abilities it's almost like having a free double damage rune against the effected hero in the early stages. Also note the damage aura only scales with the white number's damage, so it's best paired with illusion or stat-heavy heroes to get the most out of it. In lane you'll sometimes see people stack it with Luna's damage aura to make last-hitting and harassment that much easier.
I was thinking idk wtf made me start commenting and liking on YT videos and I remembered….. the first combo video Slacks and Grubby did felt so genuine and I think I said that was the most exciting vid, energetic, different in a long time since I started following grubby and watching every WC3 video. Wow

I play venge as carry back in dota 1 where you build aquila medallion and max ur 1st and 2nd skill. You hit like a truck especially against low armor heroes
Yeah, that's how low level dota was. Since you had to depend on yourself, teamwork wasn't very common, you needed to do the disables and the damage. When people get better, and realize, that with those same skills she can enable someone who is better at dealing damage, she becomes support. Back when I started everyone played venge as carry, didn't see support venge for years.
@@raifthemad She was actually briefly a viable carry(mid and safe) for a while when her 3rd aura got reworked(must be the vengeance illusion when venge or ally hero gets killed). Not that I recall much since I was on break from Dota when it was viable.
4:47 i had a similar experience last time a played dota. I was pos 1 and all I did was hit red heathbars amd buy items. There was also pos 5 kotl, who stacked forest creeps and recalled me into teamfights - more healthbars to hit. Almost meditative experience.
Honestly, you did a stellar job, Grubby and I'm pretty impressed with Slacks' level of coaching. I'm kinda looking forward to more of these videos, even when you finish this series. Though I suppose you could just redo the entire series again... Not like there're laws against it or anything haha

slacks is right but there are heros that are very good to get the passive maxxed with - like luna - youll need to baby sit her and the auras between heros stack. good stuff there. two ranged stuns and a swap into luna ulti - dead heros all over the place.

When you lose to a team, with lvl3 arc warden, it's either really great enemies or really crappy teammates. Or, you know CK, that beast can carry low level games all by himself. Like you said, no shard on dazzle, so CK could pretty much solo your team.
@@thyred3167 Yeah, but when there is a lvl3 hero in the enemy team, with 19 deaths. You have to have something wrong with your own team, if you can't take 5v4, especially with such great feed.
slacks is the god of pub strats when playing with noobs but him not regarding nether shawl as a tank item on an agi hero, especially when you have taken 60 percent magic dmg, rubs me wrong
Your team was full of supports and a nuker, you all had 0 late game survivability. The only way to win with a team full of too many supports is to win the early game and mid game and completely win the game in the mid game via cleverly using your abilities to nuke down the enemy team before the nukes become useless in the late game e.g. unkillable Chaos Knight. I feel this is an important step in Grubby's journey... he's learned to be greedy and take initiative, extremely important habits and they were the only way to win in this game, just his team allowed themselves to get picked off individually every time Grubby was dead and Grubby's late game swaps were awful. Slacks was the best coach Grubby could of had that game and it's the most entertained I've been all year. GGWP.
