2024 Race #1: 5000m on the Track (as Tempo Run) - Jan 27, 2024 at West Valley College Track

West Valley Joggers & Striders 1st 5000m on the track in 2024. Good weather. Overcast, little wind, 47-48F (8-9c). Location is West Valley College track in Saratoga, California. I am not in good shape and am behind in my training for the 10 miler in April. I will be running this as a Tempo Run shooting for about ~6:40/mile.

Everybody drinks on Wednesday. The key is to not be hung over by Saturday morning. Just kidding. Excellent video and good luck on your 13.1 next weekend.

You are too dedicated to let alcohol hold you back! I'd love to see you race another 5k after 6wks of quality sleep without booze.

The next 5k's will probably be in May / June time frame, but I have a series of races in various distances in the next few months. For alcohol, now I have to save for the special occassions.
