I have been taking this medicine, Risperidone, for 10 years, half a pill before bed. I suffer from psychosis and auditory hallucinations. After taking it, I feel sleepy. This medicine eliminates headaches or migraines, but it has always caused me to feel bored and lack a sense of the value of the day. I want it to end. Because it caused me some depression, where I became aimless, and I didn't want to do anything

What's even better is my parents found a psychiatrist handing this prescription out like Tic-tacs for my "ADHD, uncontrollable aggression, hyper reactivity, constant paranoia, hallucinations, and psychotic delusions."
Turns out being hyper vigilant, volatile in temperament, being comfortable with violence, hypersensitive to your environment, always looking for a threat, and "making up stories" about your abusive parents causing the marks they claim is self harm are all OBVIOUS symptoms of extreme abuse.
So, you know, pump this stuff into them to zombify them, turns all their danger sensors off, and grog them up enough to stop having the will to resist and you're golden! Bonus: If the kid "acts up" in public because they know it's the only place they can contest you and not get obviously abused emotionally, verbally, psychologically, and physically, you can just claim they're "adjusting to medication" or something.

I took Risperdal about 20 years ago. My hands wouldn't stop moving. I talked to my psychiatrist and he asked me if I felt "agitated". Agitated and my hands moving didn't quite make sense at the time. Agitated makes me think if being angry or irritated with someone. Not hands moving. Anyway, I switched to Zyprexa and no issues.

@@charles-etiennemarcoux5102Yeah it’s helped my autistic son loads. When he hit puberty he started having screaming outbursts then getting violent and destructive there was no reasoning or behavioural strategy’s that would prevent or stop it happening. We tried the Ablify first but that didn’t really do much to help so we switched to Risperidone and he was like a different boy within a few weeks very happy non aggressive you wouldn’t think he was the same boy. All very complex though isn’t it Autism, really it’s a lazy word for a possibility of many other complex diagnosis so one size won’t fit all. From experience as a parent that would be my criticism of health care professionals who label it as just Autism and don’t look or test no further for the specific root cause.

I was prescribed resperidol after being misunderstood in the hospital after an accident and my family made me take it until I refused to take it after 1 month. It’s been 2 years since then. Never needed it. Annoyed as hell about it. Not at my family but the hospital. I’m not an aggressive person at all yet the hospital for some reason was worried about me hurting people or were hesitant to give me anything as they would say “your not gonna throw anything are you?” “Your not gonna break anything are you?”. I’ve never even been in a fight. Completely ridiculous. Makes me sad man. Like how could they just completely mess me up like this and force me to take these things. They even gave me a shot for schizophrenia that would be taken every 6 months. Only had that once. Never did it again. Only did it cuz they were basically forcing me by telling me a judge in court would make me take it which I should’ve went through the process of disputing but I was told to trust the doctors by my idiotic family like I don’t know my own self and that what they were saying about me wasn’t true and they had me completely twisted. Especially because I hadn’t seen my family in at least 6 months because I was living my best life and then was forced into their care. I’m happy they took me in because I wouldn’t be able to pay bills and take care of my immobile needs tho. Anyways I’m still dealing with that injury which I have to go for surgery again soon so I was just thinking about the traumatizing experience and was curious if that pill had irreversible damage cuz I plan to be back to my happy and intellectually efficient self before the accident. Also W background music lol so not what I expect from a vid like this haha.

My doctor prescribed 3mg of Risperidone for the mania phase, he asked me to take it at night, I took it yesterday, but I'm feeling very dizzy, empty head, sedation, stuffy nose, I can't even stand up straight, it was the worst medication I've ever used , antipsychotics are not enough for me, I don't know why he gave me this medication, which is strong, if I had known I wouldn't have taken it and I would have told the doctor about it. @zrtknl I'm currently on it for depression and anger caused by severe abuse, and in the month that I've been taking it, I have:
      1. Started having uncontrollable muscle movements called tardive dyskinesia (including my arms randomly twitching while I'm trying to eat, sleep, and write), and my jaw grinding for about 12 hours a day, including when I'm trying to eat and sleep.
      2. It has damaged my liver. I can actually feel pain in my liver after I take it.
      3. Put on about 10 pounds.
All of these side effects have only appeared in the last month that I've been taking it. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have schizophrenia or bipolar 1 disorder.

I'm definitely getting a second opinion but what do you think? I find it weird that I dont find any off label uses for insomnia and that she didn't tell me what the medication is actually for. also I only tried benadryl for sleep which I developed a tolerance for, why would she try this medication first before usually prescribed insomnia medications

Dude, don't take that poison. Doctors hand it out like candy for off-label uses like depression, anxiety, insomnia, autism, etc., but the side-effects are f*cking terrible and life-ruining. Especially American doctors, a lot of them will just prescribe the most expensive drug possible, even if you don't actually need it.
