A creepy glitch I got recently was the Portal Deletion Glitch! It caused a certain neighbor in one of my apartment lots to spawn infinite times! I had a whole parade of Weldon Go's spawning on the edge of the lot and walking one by one into their apartment! I had to move everyone out of the lot, bulldoze it, and put an unoccupied identical apartment back down, but I have no idea what caused this glitch or how to keep it from happening again!
Oh, this is a common one! If it's the one I'm thinking of the option on the Batbox "Fix->Bad Apartment Residencies" should sort that out if it ever crops up again. I also find his name amazing as you could kind of say, "Weldon Go... away." 😂

Some can be self-explanatory, such as "Re-Enable Controls" re-enables the save and neighbourhood options if they've been greyed out due to a bug. However, the "Fix Bad Apartment Residencies" was one I had to look up, since I didn't know what it did at the time; turned out, that wouldn't have helped an issue I had anyway, but it was useful to know for future reference. I mainly use the Batbox to fix issues as they crop up, since some options actually don't appear unless they're present. For example, if you notice your sims getting startled at seemingly nothing, the cause is "Stuck Gravestone Markers," which was an issue I had in one of my hoods. It only appeared on the Batbox, because the issue was already present. Some options are there regardless though and I avoid them unless I have an issue. For the most part, I use the Batbox to check for a sim's favourite food, check and change Predetermined Hobbies, upgrade sims pre-Freetime, and give certain Pre-made sims degrees if I feel like they'd have one. If you have a problem and you're unsure of what each option does, you can look it up and see if the fix is applicable. I still have to do that and I've using the Batbox for a while now 😂 Fortunately, I've had no weird issues for a bit now **touch wood**
The male voice on a kid was creepy!! Never experienced the second one only when visiting community lots. The amount of times I've heard the boing sound of someone getting caught cheating and I never found out who etc is hilarious. The date flowers happens to me all the time, I just say the SIM is indecisive about giving flowers or something lol. I've had something similar to the backward "Rock, Paper & Scissors" with the "Give Backrub" interaction, it cracks me up every time lol. I've had a few glitches regarding relationship flags on random Sims and Sims getting random memories lately! For example the relationship flags; Phoebe Adams is a romance Sim and is having a fling with Chaz Whippler. I look at her memories to keep track of her woohoo's only to discover she thinks she's having an affair with Chaz on a husband she doesn't (and never) has! I checked simPE and she had a married relationship flag with Joshua Ruben!! Lol. With random memories, Cassandra Goth never went to Uni since she's an adult (without mods) but somehow gained the memory of being Big on Campus! General Buzz also got a memory of learning Teleportation from a ninja despite never going on vacation.... Lol. My favorite glitch though was when I sent a couple on a date Downtown and the active Sims clone that never existed showed up and BOIIING, he made enemies with himself (fighting, slapping etc) as well as getting the memory of "Caught ____ Cheating" and "Got Caught Cheating" - it was chaotically hilarious.
I had an adult sim get big man on campus memory after he made a friend (that friend maxed out his influence meter) while being invited to a college lot by his son. So technically he was "on campus" when he made this friend lol

Apparently it can happen if you have Sim A do the cuddle interaction and then switch to Sim B and do the kiss. Another one is Ripp Grunt completely forgetting that Buck is his brother. I sent Buck to college, Ripp was already there so I decided to invite him over. He refused to come which I thought was weird because they were BFFs. Then I checked Ripp's relationship panel and Buck wasn't there. He had romantic interactions available on his brother while Buck still recognized Ripp as his brother. Family tree was fine too. I got freaked out and fixed their relationship in SimPE but now I'm paranoid about this happening again. I didn't do anything that can cause corruption so I have no idea what caused this. I did some Google search and this one sided relationship amnesia happened to other people too.
I had the same kind of glitch with Rose Greenman. She had two other daughters beside Daisy with Jason and at some point she forgot that one of them was actually her daughter. She lost all their friendship and the family sign wasn't in her relationship panel on the daughter's icon. The daughter saw her as her mom tho. I fixed it with Sim Blender, but still... I hope it's not a major glitch.
The memory of the sim kissing themselves is funny. The one with Ripp and Buck was heartbreaking! Same with the Greenmans above, too. Bugs like that can just happen randomly, but it's great that you got them fixed. Sometimes the game can either add relationship flags randomly or delete them, and I've heard it does the same to family ties, too. I'm not sure if corruption is the root of the issue, or it's just the game being silly, but it can be one of those strange rare things.
The most weird glitch I've ever gotten was when I playing the Grunt family and I called for a gardener and when the car turned up, I swear to god there was 70 - 100 gardeners all of sudden that got out of the car. They then came into the house and everyone including the sims I was playing was trapped inside.The school and the cars to pick them up for work couldn't leave because of the amount of gardeners that stood on the road. One sims was pregnant and gave birth while every gardener was dying. The Grunts almost died too but I can't remember how I saved them. It was chaos. The next day I watched the movie Mother and it was no joke the same thing.
Haha, I've had something similar! Except it was around three or four gardeners in my case. The burglar came and burned them all, so that was eventful 😂
The glitch where the sims froze but you could still hear the sounds was a bit creepy, and kissing invisible AJay was funny. One glitch I just recently came across was one where a toddler started "dancing" to the radio but instead of sitting on the floor like they usually do, she stood up, hovered above the floor, and started dancing like children do. She did it a couple of times. A very early glitch I had happened with a nanny. When she was dropped off the van never left, and neither did she. She basically moved in with my family. Went to sleep in someone's bed, got up wandering around in her nightgown, and I couldn't get her to leave. I could only "shoo" her. Couldn't dismiss her or fire her. Then the next morning another van showed up and another nanny. I didn't realize at the time I could have just used move_objects and deleted her and the van. Then they were out of food so I had them order food. The van arrived and the guy got out and then just stood there, not delivering the groceries to my very hungry sims!
Toddler dancing weirdly is normal if that sim is shy; for some reason, there weren't any shy dance animations made for the toddlers, I think. The second bug is one I had in my early days of playing over a decade ago. I was playing the Montys, Antonio and his twins, and their nanny wouldn't leave and a new one came the next day. One time, the grocery delivery driver, didn't even give my sims their food; they paid for it and it disappeared 😂

A similar glitch to The second glitch (the freezing glitch) happens to me when I play Fallout 3. Sometimes the game will get stuck when I enter a loading zone. The only thing that fixes it is minimizing and maximizing the game.
The most annoying glitch I keep getting now is when my teens sneak out. 50% of the time they will disappear as if they have never snuck out. They will creep to the car and then vanish and the car will drive off. Even when I speed to the time they are suppose to come back they wont return. I just have to "force error off world" till I get the right reset option and the sim appears on the lot. They won't get the snuck out memory, I assume the game just thinks they have been on the lot the entire time. Now I save just in case every time I try and sneak a sim out.
I literally had this happen two weeks ago with Mercutio Monty! Fortunately, it's never happened since, but it was baffling. Because I was playing Veronaville though, I made it part of the narrative, making it so that Mercutio didn't come home due to being abducted and killed by Tybalt. The teen Mercutio snuck out with, James (the sim I had selected in the pillow fight video), and Puck witnessed the scene and now hate Tybalt, who views them both as his best friends. No one really knows except for James and Puck, but the rest of the Montys have their suspicions that a Capp was involved and Romeo just knows. Sometimes you can make bugs part of a story line, which was what I chose to do. If it happens again though, I'll probably just try "Retrieve Missing Sim" on the Batbox. I don't know what causes this, since I thought I was the only one that encountered it until now 😂 Sorry the the large reply, I just thought I was alone with one!
i think the only bug ive come across yet is that i was playing tybalt capp and he had moved out and had a roommate. he got invited downtown and i didnt invite the roommate but his roommate came along anyway. and then when i came back to the apartment the roommate completely disappeared as if they were never living with tybalt. i checked the ffs lot debugger and they got bugged somehow. idk if this was just the game being buggy or a mod breaking something tho
Wow, it kind of sounds like it could be a story that Tybalt imagined having a roommate the whole time. The bug on its own is weird, though. Apartments can also be buggy in general, so that may have just been an unlucky play session.

the first one is super creepy omg. the only possible explanation for something like that happening, that i could think of, is if there was a child ghost on the lot? since jeannie is a hidden sim, she'd be in the default family and be one of the sims who gets pulled to pick up child sims from that same 'family' after 6pm... if not though, that's definitely a really strange glitch either way
Yeah, it was to do with there being child ghost on the lot. At the time I had written the blog post I read out, which is a year old now I think, I didn't know the cause. Nowadays, I am aware why this happens, but it doesn't make it any less creepy. I also noticed while editing, it's hard to make out through the pixels, but I think it was a child ghost that made her pee herself 😂
At the pixelated video it definitely reminded me of these early Sims 2 tutorials and game plays from reaaally early RUclips. Lol
