Yeah, I had to install the mod to completely get rid of talk/blog about the hobby wants because it was so annoying. My tier list would be pretty similar. Nightlife and University are my favorite packs personally. Didn't know about Seasons introducing the leftovers, I can't play without it either lol
I can't organize them on an exact list, but here's what I like: The ones I love: University, Nightlife, Open For Business, Apartment Life I like, but could do without: Seasons, Pets, Bon Voyage, Free Time
Yeah, all packs are great in their own way. Even though I don't use many features from some packs, or dislike a few features, I like having the options available if I want access to them. Like in one hood, I'm trying to run a restaurant 😂
Nice! I agree with a lot of these :D and i love the Put Leftovers Away feature too! I use a mod that allows you to put group meals away as single plates, it's so handy!
Pretty good list and I think I agree on most points. I like University a lot. I have a custom neighborhood that is quite large at the moment (one of the largest I've ever played anyway) and I always look forward to when uni comes up in my rotation. And when I'm done I'm always glad to leave uni because sometimes it seems to take forever to get them through a semester or two! Still, I enjoy it. The Secret Society doesn't do much for me mainly because no-one ever does anything there except clog up the toilet and leave food to spoil. My biggest annoyance with Bon Voyage is everyone wanting to bow ,and whatever the others are, to every. single. sim they meet after that. That and the slap dance has literally taken over my hood. Everyone's doing it! Half of them don't even smustle anymore! I would probably put Pets a bit higher but I love pets. It's also one of the few things I think Sims 3 did better than Sims 2. And I agree with you I have gotten very tired of everyone always wanting to talk about their hobbies and blog about their hobbies. I don't even check their wants anymore, I just have one sim greet another and tell a joke and talk about hobby. Bet I see some aspiration points there. It's become about as annoying as everyone getting a pop up to look at the snow/rain. That needs to go, too.
University can drag at points, especially if you can't think of things to do. It is fun and chaotic overall and simple so it isn't frustrating. I've gotten rid of my BV Gesture annoyance with BoilingOil's mod *Vacation Actions Limited*, or something like that. They really are frustrating, charming at first, but can quickly become annoying as it's all the sims do once they learn them. Pets just fade into the background of every game for me; in TS4 they are extremely uninteresting. I do really like cats in TS2 though, their mannerisms are so similar to every cat I've met and it's really cute; they even got the grooming mannerisms spot on! Hobbies are good, but the frequency of hobby wants could have been optimised better; they are so frequent that they consume the sim's lives. It's not so bad now with a mod I've installed, but certain wants like playing computer games and going swimming easily slip through the cracks.
I just want to point out that chemistry isn’t unique to Nightlife. It is a feature carried on in later released expansion packs, so you don’t have to have Nightlife to have chemistry.
I dont find nightlife exciting probably cause ive always had it lol i bought double deluxe as my first sims 2 game(s) soo lol its funny cause the guy selling at Games (i think it was called? Purple text) was like well if u want pets this is kind of the opposite... Lmao i knee id want many/all packs anyway so
I agree, Sims 2 is the strongest entry by far in my opinion and my personal favourite. However, I do give Sims 3 a pass because although it was unoptimised and arguably more unstable than its predessors, at least it tried to do something new and added a lot of content. Sims 4 just stripped down everything and is gradually spoon feeding it to players via patches that break things and splitting features that were previously put in one large expansion pack with the first three games into multiple expansion, game, and stuff packs, and kits. The series has unfortunately become a joke.
University is not bad ep. I love the cut scenes, but it so boring for me personally, even with mods which make study faster. Nightlife my beloved. And AL. Witches in The Sims 2 most best in Sims series.
my tier list is literally the order in which they came out, with the exception of putting seasons in front of pets. ea’s diminishing product quality clearly started way before sims 4

Yeah, I don't know what I'd do with myself if I couldn't put the leftovers away, it's such a great feature! 😂
It pains me the pizza can't go in the fridge tho and a few more oof

I use that same mod, too! I agree, it's brilliant 😁
@@CrystalFlame360 it is! There's also one where they get leftovers from the fridge automatically :D
@@calvinengland I also have that one!
My favorite sims 2 packS is h&M fashion and seasons

I got the sims 2 and is installing it as we speak
I hope you have fun!

Ah, I didn't know that! I've never had a configuration without Nightlife so I've never had the system separate from that pack.
Hold up th DRAGON STORY? om bön voyage? Did I hear that right lmao what
The leftover part. Yes.

Sims 2 is the supiror game, added so much stuff that the future games just forgot
